Thanks man, no big deal either way but I would be happy to make some videos featuring them.

That thing is ripping! Nice job! 👍 You should get you some foams on there and watch it really fly!👍

      Thank you!
I have a set but they are not cheap and a couple of crashes like that would be disastrous.😒. I wish I could get a set that were like 120mm in diameter.
I think I may run GRPs!

i had my big rock on the specktrum 6s and have hit 83mph on a 19t pinion. i bumped up to a 29t pinoin with some mods and hit 78 and it took flight and crashed. So i will rebuild it to be a 100+ next go!

      Awesome! 😱
Any tips on keeping it stable? What tires did you use?

@@BriansRCStuff Lower Suspension! Turn down the Steering rate so your adjustments are not as devestating at higher speeds and they are proline street tires. I also put a vorteks wing on the rear part of the body to help with down force!

@@stephensanders7581 Thank you for the ideas. I appreciate it! I think I am going to start off with lowering the suspension, turning the steering rate down a little more, and fixing the slop in the suspension and go from there. Thanks again

At 50mph the front is already riding high and above that you're loosing directional control causing it to go all over the place . . .

See, I thought it would be good up past 70 mph without too much worry about the front lifting. I have a HBX truck that goes 65 mph with no modifications and it much lighter than the Big Rock. My Bandit really struggled much past 60-65 without weight added but it is VERY light up front and again, I thought the Big Rock would be good at faster speeds.
Do you have any recommendations on how to keep the front end down? Maybe a wing? I think if I get rid of that slop, it might help me as I think when the front is getting a bit lighter, it is making the slop show its ugly face and making the steering dart to one side or the other, causing the rear end to then step around..... and then it crashes.

@@BriansRCStuff Seems like only crawlers are more balanced - if not front heavy, RTR and we have to figure this out for our speedsters. A wind tunnel would help 😉
You added spacers in back already but probably more. Weights in front and keeping air from going under are options I've used.

Woo! I guessed right in the poll. Pretty fast for a Big Rock 🦾

      Nice guess!
I am still curious if it could hit 70 on a fresh LIPO with a clean run. I think it would be close!

@@BriansRCStuff I'd say it's possible, just keeping it stable at that speed would be the real challenge 👍 65mph seems to be the cutoff for un-belted rubbers

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@scaleworksRC I think the stability is going to be a big issue too! Hoping when I tighten up the slip it helps some.
I had a set on my Bandit that went into the 80s but of course they were much smaller diameter. Someone told me these were good into the 70s but I am not so sure.😁
