My option form is due in tomorrow and I've been so stressed out over whether I should do triple or double, my teacher and parents haven't really asked what I thought. I enjoy science but I find it so difficult, thanks for this video, it made me more sure on doing triple! 👍🏼😊

From experience i would say if ur planning of doing a science at Alevel its best to do triple science. GCSE triple science helped me so much when starting out Alevel physics.

To be honest everyone I know have said triple isn’t that much harder than combined and since you get more lessons in it, it’s easier I dunno though I have been offered it still don’t know if I will choose it
I chose triple but mostly everyone else chose combined so now I’m forced to do combined 😐
I was in top set but I went down by a few marks but every one no matter what grade u have has got the opportunity to do triple or double.
Hi, I'm in year 11 so I'm not picking my GCSEs options but I thought I'd comment on a recent video so there's more chance of a reply from anyone. Do you do any aqa igcse content? If not how much of the aqa gcse physics is the similar to the igcse, just so I know whether I can watch regular aqa science videos for my revision X

In my school to get into triple science you have to be in set 1, 2 or 3 for maths, science and english and also pass a past gcse paper to get into triple science
Why does maths and English have anything to do with your science ability I get 4 and 5s and in English but 9s in science I think it’s kinda stupid of the school to do that
@@infinitegalaxy271 science involves maths which is in physics and they also test you on your writing skills when it comes to explaining something, I think.
I go to a grammar school therefore we all have to do double science. I also have to do the main subjects including a language and a humanity. For my extra subjects should I do what would be beneficial with a grade I could work hard to get or a subject I enjoy with an easy grade? Should I pick something I don't necessarily enjoy or that isn't as easy but very beneficial and useful to universities etc.

At my school you don’t get a choice. If you’re in set 1 or set 2 (like me), you have to do triple science. If you’re in sets 3 and 4 you have to do combined and if you’re in sets 5 and 6 you have to do foundation science.
I took triple science and I do have to work so hard at it but its definitely very interesting, I have 9 lessons a fortnight of science overall - maths and then double physics one day which is tough but to anyone trying to decide between it I would say definitely chose it if you are prepared to work hard and put the effort in!

@@totallynotnikki Gosh I'm old this was 7 years ago. Generally to get a grade 6 you should aim for at least 50% but it depends on the grade boundaries and the subject. Each year, the exam boards use a bell curve to determine the grade boundaries(percentage needed to achieve a certain grade), if the exam was hard, they'd lower the grade boundaries if it was easy they'll raise the grade boundaries so it'll be harder to achieve a higher grade. Google "[exam board] GCSE grade boundaries" and you'll find a list of grade boundaries for all the past years for your exam board.
I chose triple science and I’m 2 months into year 10 triple science and i love it so much! I love science and want to do it in A level

I would say just do double and learn the triple science content after you've done your GCSEs for the science subjects you are picking at a-level. I would only really pick it if you are doing all 3 science subjects at a-level.

nell m - My grades are more than good enough to do triple I get higher than most of triple students but because I don't do any languages (a stupid decision I made which I now regeret,and didn't know wouldnt allow me to do triple) they cant slot me in with triple science classes so i remain in double top set.

I don't really enjoy science and I don't know what I want to do when I leave but only a few people in our year got the option of triple science and I was one of those people so everyone is saying I should choose it. I don't know what to do.

amy Same with my school, they picked like 20 people out of our year of about 180 to do triple when way more are capable. I’m going to ask to sit the Triple mock and see what I get because I really do not want only one science GCSE
Good luck not dying of boredom if you are intelligent and take combined. It isn’t an option if you are intelligent you must do it, the combined curriculum is crap
Triple science wasn't one our options we had to do an extra lesson every week if we chose to do it 😒

I get the highest grades in my combined science so the teachers recommended triple science for me as I also enjoy science. However I am coming to the end of year 10 and I have missed a lot of content of triple science which I will need to catch up on. I don't know weather I should consider taking triple science. I mean I don't want to spend too much time on learning triple content and end up doing bad on the rest of my subjects. I really need help and advise for what is best for me please.

Moushumi Akhtar it's different as combined science is just like 2/3 physics, 2/3 chemistry, 2/3 biology, so you won't cover the full topic. But triple science is all of them :) hope this helped x I picked triple science btw

Hi, I'm in year eight but I feel as though I didn't get the grades which were good enough for triple science eventhough I do like the subject will I not be able to do it because they said if u move down to the lower grades then u don't get to do it
SarahTheGreat triple science from what I've heard, is actually easier than double science. In triple science you do all the stuff you would do in combined science but with extra detail and with other topics. You already do the hardest party in combined science, and if you enjoy science, I would take triple. Although I could be completely wrong about this and regret my decision, going into year 10 this year.
Hi. I am currently in year 9 and i have chosen all my gcses options (ICT, French, Geography and Psychology) and luckily i got them all. Yay!
Anyways, I want to be an orthopedic doctor but I am not sure if I should pick triple science or just stick with double science. If i stick with double, I would do the higher paper but if I do triple, i would possibly do foundation.
All i want to know is if I really need triple science to become a high ranked orthopedic doctor and what subjects I need to study in university and a-levels become this type of doctor.

Ellie Carter you might only get unit 1 and unit 2 of the sciences to sit for the exam so what you might wanna do is talk to your teacher about getting unit 3 papers as well and also if youre choosing any of the sciences for A levels then what you might want to do is make sure you get a good grade (for example a B or higher) to get into the college or sixth form of your choice in unit 2 because they mostly look at unit 2. (referring to AQA spec)
