a XenoGears remake in Collaboration with some the Original Developers would give a XenoGears REMAKE the true Quality it would need to live up to the Original.
I noticed you do the airship themes to most of your remakes. That being said, Yggdrasil had a kick ass airship theme in Xenogears. "Wings". I'd pay money for that.

The issue with remaking this game is that, it would physically be impossible in this day and age. Xenogears was in development for roughly 7-8 years, before the plug was pulled and we got what we got. The story was also constantly being updated, with revisions every 2 or so weeks, in fact the staff suffered from health problems because of all the work going into the game. and while I would like to see a remake of this game, or a title to come to out covering the same themes, topics, etc.. The realistic side of me says that, that's just not going to happen, it would take 2 decades if not 15 or so years just to amass the same semblance of what Xenogears accomplished, especially with today's market, economy, and playerbase. hell FFVII is barely even getting the remake it deserves, and we still aren't even sure it's happening still, with recruitment messages and shit being posted. My point is that, unlike 20 years ago where time was thing companies mostly had, they simply do not now. I would like a remake to flesh out the wonderful world created by Takahashi, but sadly it's not a reality.

I'm not into the whole SJW vs anti-SJW debate. But I feel Xenogears would insult many people today. There have already been some nasty articles written about it. The game seemed to have some controversial ideas revolving around Christianity and other Judeo-Christian belief systems. It also had some very pro-libertarian beliefs as well. I personally LOVE this aspect of the game. I like being exposed to both sides. But I'm unsure if most people would even be open to such a story anymore. Both right-wing and left-wing people would get offended. I personally don't care, but I feel like Square Enix would want to play it safe. Releasing this game would be too much of a risk for them.
+Awake Now To be fair, the game Nier (really any of the games Taro made for SE) were ripe with controversial ideas that were left for the most part unomitted even in today's market (with exception of Drakengard 1 having the fact one of the characters in the party was a pedophile and that was the source of his self-loathing being omitted and the reveal of the main character's sister's immoral feelings toward being why he was too disgusted to look her in the eye in the end being made much less in your face with the dialogue). Despite all the controversial ideas and some of the psychological and religious concepts those games brought forth, it (Nier) still garnered enough of a niche fanbase, even within the confines of platinum studios, to prompt a sequel being made very recently that still kept a lot of those concepts in tact through a new story so it's not entirely impossible to see a story like that arrive in today's market and still be majorly accepted. Of course, that being said, that still brings to light the shear scope and complexity of Xenogears, as well as its incomplete nature already. The Nier/Drakengard series may share in the concept of controversial to tell a story, and even make a point in some cases with Xenogears, but it certainly did not share in the sheer scope of the world. Both Niers had small budgets by SE game standards, and I'd say the first Nier was maybe the size of Ocarina of Time's over-world if that, and while the sequel is much much grander in scale, it's still not nearly the same scope as this game and its multitude of maps and cities
I feel like donating, but not for at least two or three years (when I have a big net income). If I were to donate say, $100 if you would remake certain songs I desire, and pay you $500 through pay pal, would you still be interested after two/three years?

A remake or even a remaster, would be such a arduous, tremendous effort. This game is deep and long. I put seventy hours into it.
If they do a remake, I want all the disc 2 content to be fully fleshed out with more gameplay. That's the only way I'll be satisfied
