Today I got a highest mark in pharmacology, THANKS to you. I want you to know that am very grateful 😭😭 cuz u you provide a good base and made everything easy and make sense. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Friend, you just did in 6 minutes what my pharmacy school professors couldn't do in 4 years - explain anti-fungal mechanisms of action clearly and succinctly. Bravo!
Oh wow I cant remember the last time I watched a speed pharm video. You really helped me learn pharm back in the beginning of med school, I couldnt be more grateful. Thank you so much. I graduate in 2 months, god willing.
Nikhil Sharma Indian teacher mostly are clown and partially toward students in college I have a lot from this channel , love this channel ... Speed pharmacology ... Best tutorial for pharmacology ... No doubt ...
@@SpeedPharmacology Sir, can you also make videos of drug-drug interactions, adverse effects and tricks to remember them! I am preparing for a pharmacy entrance exam, these topics would be of great help. Also if you can start making short videos on clinical questions, one question in one video, short videos will do great for both you and students. Thanks in advance.♥️
How you summarize alot of information just in a few minutes video is just so awesome and learning from you makes everything so much easier,my gratitude and total humbleness. You're the best Sir..🤝🤝
Sir iam taking terbinafine 250 mg since one week for my fungal infection but instead of getting cured my infection is getting even worse and spreading should I do.
You don’t even know how good it feels to spray lotto in on the fungus! It hurt and burns very uncomfortable. That cold spray is like a touch by an Angel. I had to laugh in relief now I’m happy
Where are you from ??? Big thanks iam getting to know alot more in pharmacology , can do videos on ogarnophosphate drug and oxime uses big thumb up bro !!!! I learnt at maximum number of concept logic behind pharmacology...
I understood this WAY more easily than I expected to. I'm not even a medical student, I just have an infection and was curious how the drugs attack the fungus. Many thanks! I'm curious, though- why, if Echinocandins have the least risk of interfering with human cell membranes, then why are they not the most commonly used cures? I looked those three up, and it looks like they're all expensive, prescription-only injectables that are used in serious internal fungal infections. I would think that if the doses needed for that are expensive, then you could use much less of the drug for a less serious, superficial fungal infection, and therefore it would be less expensive, right? Is the issue that these Echinocandins can only be absorbed intravenously? Anyway, I'm trying butenafine cream for my personal case- I'm still wondering how it penetrates the top layer of your skin to get to the fungus (idk what species of fungus I have), but I'll keep looking, and I appreciate understanding what it does when it reaches the problematic fungal cells 👍
Great questions! Echinocandins are mainly used for serious internal fungal infections because they can only be delivered via IV - they don’t absorb well through the skin or digestive system. That, along with their high cost, makes them impractical for superficial infections. For those, topical treatments like butenafine are a better fit since they’re effective and much easier to use. Butenafine works by penetrating the outer layer of your skin to target the fungus directly. Good luck with it. Hope it clears things up for you!
I'm your regular viewer, I have a question! .... How to quit Benzodiazapin? I used to take 1 netrigipam 10, Or 2 daily, now I quite taking from 30 days Or more, if their and problem of quitting????
Echinocandins and ibrexafungerp both inhibit beta-1,3-glucan synthase, disrupting fungal cell wall synthesis and causing cell death. However, they differ in their chemical structures and administration methods. Echinocandins are large cyclic lipopeptides usually administered intravenously whereas ibrexafungerp is a triterpenoid that can be taken orally

Could you explain the mechanism of work between echinkcandis and ibrexafungerp? Meanwhile both of them targets beta 1,3 glucan syntase?
