- Here's My RAW FOOD STARTER GUIDE FOR FRENCH BULLDOGS, although it can be applied to other breeds.
I am always asked about what I feed my Frenchie that he has such a beautiful coat and my answer is RAW dog food.
I have been feeding my French Bulldog a RAW diet since he was 10 months old. Like many other pet owners, I wanted to provide my fur friend the best raw dog food diet for my Frenchie. In my research I found that raw for bulldogs was the best choice for food to get optimal health. Not only is it good for their health but dog food reviews claimed it was an aid for French Bulldog skin allergies. I created this video because I wanted to share with you this RAW starter guide for dogs not just French Bulldogs. I also wanted to share some of my tips and strategies to get your dog, French Bulldog, or French Bulldog puppies started on a RAW diet.

You have no idea how much you've helped me. Last week I adopted a 1 year old white frenchie. I'm binge watching your videos. I have him on Stella and Chewy raw food. However I'm very interested on how your preparing yours. I'm retired and have all the time in the world to spoil and love him so I want to be sure I'm feeding him right. The best holistic vet nutritionist animal advocate I suggest Dr Judy Morgan, she is the best best best, in my opinion in the world. I love your videos and good for you switching your Beloved to fresh food. I cannot do raw; I live in Mexico and the handling of meats is much different in standards and I started raw but after 3 months they began getting sick. So, I soft cook their food and I follow Dr Judy Morgan and I trained through her courses and books.
I pick up my 8 week old Frenchie puppy next week and thankfully, the breeder has all her dogs and pups on raw, which I will definitely be continuing. I cannot wait! He (Bertie) is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so excited to being a Frenchie Dad :)

And, thank you for sharing that Frenchie's do not do well with chicken and yes, my Frenchy did get the squirts when I used it, none of my dogs do well using chicken (Dr Judy Morgan explains why dogs can't tolerate it) which I only use it if I must, like when I cannot get pork and/or beef. QUESTION, I discovered Bison, have you used this meat? I am going to try it; I am sure it was a fluke that Sam's brought it in, but I have heard it is one of the best meats. And yes, my dog's, all my animals, are my kids and yes like you I will spend all my money to keep them "thriving" and not just surviving.

Hey Hey! Great video... can you share what food you feed him!? A list? Is it home made or store bought? Also, mixing up your videos a little (like this one maybe have video of him eating or showing your food prep... type idea). Keep utilising all your rooms for fillming, keeps it interesting. Where did you get that Frenchie artwork/poster you have on the wall behind you? I like that. I like that you have his outside gear hanging up there too. I’m definitely going to purchase that hoodie you have on your apparel page. Also, what do you give him for treats? If you’re feeding him a raw food diet, then I can’t even imagine what you’re giving him for treats. Do you give him his regular treats and then use another type of treat for training positive reinforcement?
I am getting my first ever dog soon, a frenchie of course, and i want to do raw but it’s just a little too expensive for me. I might plan to do kibble but introduce things like supplements and salmon oil for the coat which will make it like part raw. Do you think this will still benefit the dog, or just go either full kibble or full raw? PS: i love you content so much, it has helped me a lot with preparing for my frenchie
Congratulations. My personal opinion is thst if you do kibble then make sure it’s a high quality kibble which you will end up paying more for, so it will equal as much as a raw. I would just do raw you will find your dog to be more gassy and have more problems later on with kibble( once again person opinion )

What do you give him for his treats and training treats? I keep seeing you give him the treats but you can’t see what it is. Also, do you breed? My Winston was just a few weeks shy of his 2yr birthday. He just collapsed while playing at a park in CT. I do eventually want to get another Frenchie, but still missing him. I still live in CT. My Winston was from WI. I love your channel and videos, and Fuli is such a good looking Frenchie. Like you said, his coat is shiny and healthy, and his structure is perfect. I love his demeanor. One last question. How did you come up with his name? And what does it mean? Take care…

Hi, Im new with Frenchies, can you feed the puppy raw a few days and kibles other days?
I personally don't like to. I would fast the puppy for 12 hours then feed them their raw food. Check out my other video's on RAW.

Lmao 🤣 fast a Frenchie for 12 hours omgsh my house would be destroyed and his cute bat ears will turn into decorations cause he'd ignore me LMFAO that's an awesome jesture though thankyou🙏🏻 I do coconut oil and probiotics too. I'm waiting to do an allergy test. My Frenchies allergies he can't have anything until I get this test don't I've tried so many healthy diets he reacts even to beef/veggies. So I still have him on his vet diet. It's tough I just want the best for my baby🐽 Also there's an allergy medication called "apoquel" it's used to help treat allergies and expensive but I didn't care, the downside to this medication he developed a tumor that the Emergency Hospital said was benign after three weeks of stress cause I was so worried, it grew on his chest area started like a pimple dot. The Apoquel feeds cells that can cause growths. NEVER AGAIN. I'll just wait for the allergy testing to know my options they take so long I've been waiting months and now cause of this virus. Thankyou for your videos. If it turns I can do the raw diet I'll definitely use some tips😊👍🏻
Most Frenchies are allergic to a lot of foods, don't be surprised if you see things on his pannel that you would of never thought he would be allergic too. I hope he is doing better after being on that medication. RAW definitely helps alleviate a lot of the allergies that these dogs have. Keep me posted on his results and if you can have your man on RAW.

Hi what kind of treats do you give your baby?
What about meats? I know he is allergic to chicken. But I’m always scared to give him raw meat. What kind of meat is the best. Supermarket meat? Already packaged? Or fresh? I want what is best for my baby no matter the cost. Is pepper good for him?
My 8 month old frenchie loved the raw food but had diarrhea right after. Should I slow down the process & mix with his kibble ? He ate beef spinach liver carrots & fish. Also should I mix it together because he ate everything but the beef & the liver is real chewy so it took him awhile to take it down. I’m thinking I should give him smaller pieces.

Almost every video I have watched on TH-cam on French bulldog raw diets are them eating chicken. Where did you read or see that 90% don’t feed frenchie poultry or feathered animals?

What proportions do you feed him and how many times a day? What supplements do you give him as well and would it be the same for puppies? I have a 5month old French bulldog, she is my world 🥰 and I want to start putting her on a raw/home cooked diet, she has the worst allergies, itching her whole body until she bleeds and goes bald 24/7 we have been to the vet so many times and they just put her on medication and I don't like the side effects so I would like to avoid it if I can! They say to not put her on a raw/home cooked diet and stick to kibble because she's a puppy. I don't know what to do 😪😪 I want to give her the best

Your 5mo FB should not be loosing her hair or showing any allergy reactions. I would look at the ingredients on your kibble and see if it had any poultry in it( it most likely does ). You can give your dog human grade allergy medication ( Benadryl ) to suppress the reaction to the allergies - call your vet to ask for the dosage.
I would at this point 💯 be putting my dog on RAW. Dogs don’t just loose their hair at 5mo for nothing. He/she is not agreeing to something. Also I would get a second opinion from another vet and see if they can diagnose the cause.
It’s hard to find a vet these days who would agree with feeding your dog RAW. However, newer vets are starting to come around to see the benefits.

Tiarne J I have an 11 year old female French bulldog named Ruby, She started developing her allergies at a very young age, like you I tried lots of things. My recommendation would be to take your dog to a pet dermatologist, they will test for allergies and have a better understanding of what your dog is allergic to.My dog had allergies to palm trees,mosquitoes,environmental as well as some food. I giver her a shot every 21 days and I feed her raw patties of venison, rabbit, beef, the co. Called Stella and Chewys. I mix it with vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower etc. she no longer has breakouts, it’s a chore and it’s pricey but it’s effective. Hope this info helps.
I’ve been struggling with finding the best food (kibble) I’ve been thinking a lot of switching to raw food but my vet also says that they need the kibble because it has a high source of nutrients that dogs need.
I've been feeding my Frenchie Skip Royal Canin Adult French Bulldog formula, when I saw this video I thought about switching but he's been doing awesome since last October when I started him on it. How do I calculate how much to feed a frenchie on a raw diet if I wanted to feed twice a day ?
Everyone company is different but there are general calculators out there if so a quick Google search.

I have a 10wk Frenchie and he's been eating about a 1/2 cup of food 3 times a day so far and in that 1/2 cup, half of its raw and the other half kibble. When should I move him straight raw?
You can make a the transition now. I would give him less kibble at the next feeding and more raw. Just make sure you are giving the appropriate amount of food for his weight.

Hey never really had a problem with farting, so I can’t say yes or no. But from those that I know who went from kibble to raw they did notice their dog was not rating as much
