I watched you put on a light olive-green color on her sleeve, and yet somehow my brain is reading it as white. It looks like a white dress to me- I’m automatically filling in the contextual lighting and interpreting the scene correctly. I just can’t get over how I watched you lay down a GREEN and my brain is going, “no, no, that’s actually white.”
I just wanted to say that I was so inspired by your earlier video, where you painted a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean, that I started painting using gouache again (I last painted a very long time ago). I discovered it in a whole new way thanks to you❤. Your videos are very beautiful and satisfying.

Oh, this is so beautiful!! I love Eyvind Earl’s work. He juxtaposes harsh angles with soft shapes and such wild textures for the most magical paintings! You did such a beautiful job with this sketchbook page, and you can definitely see the ode to Eyvind in it. 💛

Hamrib, you inspire me to continue my study in gouache. I'm not any good, but it's relaxing and I'm learning :3 Btw, Miya gouache comes in tube sets, now! 12ml tubes. No 12ml individual tubes, unfortunately. But there's individual refills of the 30ml cup, and 100ml capped tetrapack. I'm using the 24-color 12ml set right now, and when I figure out what colors I use, I'll just buy the 30ml cups and transfer them to empty plastic tubes (the ones meant for makeup, creams, etc).
Gouache is a technique that I have not yet mastered and that I am still very much in fear of. This video has made me want to paint instantly and improve! Thank you!

It's color theory and its both colors at the same time. Olive green in our context, white in picture and looks green due to the lighting
