Gosh it's always amazing to see how you sculpt a portrait with color like that. The variety of colors you add and yet it works is wonderful to watch. Also I totally agree cotton paper is not ideal for gouache - unless you use it diluted like watercolor which is it's own technique. I really like smooth cellulose paper for gouache!
It's so validating to hear you say that about cotton paper, Sarah! And yes I agree about using it like watercolor being a completely different technique, because then I think of it mostly like watercolor which is funny now that I think about it
You are the only one i had seen who could blend gouache so seamlessly...no other artist i can see..

can we make a painting with white gouache and watercolor mixed? will the mix become gouache? I have a lot of watercolor paints, I don't want to buy another set of gouache. :(
Yes! I have done that a few times. It really does help. Make sure to get a good quality tube of titanium or permanent white gouache and it should do the trick
I love the palette with the deep wells you used. Could you link that as well? I've been searching for one with deeper wells for a long time 😅
I wish I could find the exact one but i cant find it anymore! I did find some similar ones on amazon but I havent personally tried them. Let me know if you want me to add it on thje description though!
