A fantastic collection!! I would love to see Charlotte's collection. I love how she has gotten involved in this insane hobby, and how she supports you in it!!
What makes it fantastic?
@@davidr2802the fact that every watch has a story and means something to him you dingus
@@davidr2802 What does a watch collection need for you to deem it "fantastic" ?
Except for the pocket watches, most of your piece are typical of what what is popular with the TH-cam community. Not a criticism just an observation.
Fantastic indeed! I value the stories behind the collection.
Totally up to see Charlotte's collection. Give her taste in Casios, it's most likely impeccable.
Andrew, your watch collection is as quirky and interesting as you are! Bravo!
Yes, please, do show us Charlotte's collection :)
Any collection that fits in a single watch box is far from out of hand. I have to admit that I was surprised and impressed by the variety, and that quarter repeater! Wow! No Rolex, no Omega, ten watches including three pocket watches, a couple of GS and a couple of Casio.... Such an interesting collection. Super curious about Charlottes watches now.
The moonswatch is by Omega
Genius collection only surpassed by the candid and funny commentary! You never disappoint! Thank you for continuing to educate and entertain!
Out of all the my watch collection videos I've seen on TH-cam, yours is the only one I've watch till the end. Simple, straight to the point no fluff and polished at the same time.
Andrew, you will never be boring. Thank you for all that you do in timepiecetopia.
David
The GS Spring Drive is a masterpiece. I would keep this for life. I would ditch the Hamilton and keep the Howard. Thanks for sharing. It's great to see one of the most respected watch reviewers in the world to have a collection built over years with true passion for watchmaking including some pieces that are more accessible for the common folks. It shows you can still enjoy horology without having to spend big money.
I knew i would be in for a ride and a surprise. You never disappoint! What a colorful selection, bravo.
love the Tudor .i am geating close to pulling the trigger on one
My favorite watch in this video is the Grand Seiko Omiwatari. The Casio A500 comes in a close second. My absolute favorite thing about this video however is how many times you said, “Charlotte” in such a sincere and loving manner. It seriously put a big cheesy smile on my face.
Your Omiwatari and The Twelve are the best in the collection for sure. Great pieces!
Sweet to enjoy your hobby with the person you love ❤️
V Cool collection! The best professional speaking voice. Whatever wrist watch you speak of brings in a perception of so much class and elegance. Thank You for all your videos!
love love love love love your collection
Very enjoyable episode. You are far down the rabbit hole when you reverse the pocket watch to enjoy viewing the movement. Those tiny little hand crafted gears and springs are mesmerizing.
Great collection; it shows taste and interest. The pocket watches and Casios really shine. The wife knows her game!
I love how interesting your collection is
The CW is looking good! And those pocket watch movements - definitely the repeater 😍
Thanks for sharing mate! Love the stories and the reasons, many things to think about for sure! Cheers🎉
I really like your collection! You are a down to earth guy and that’s amazing. Keep on the great work!
Great collection. I love that you have pocket watches! I inherited a few from my dad, and love watching the workings too. Also love that you have the CW12. I want the same fumé blue dial as well, so this might be enough motivation to get me to pull the trigger on it, while they are still available.
Yes!!!! Let’s see Charlotte and her collection. Cheers.
Fantastic. Thanks for sharing
I can relate to this completely. I started with one watch in my teens, it broke so I got another one but while looking for another one I noticed one or two others so after a pint or 4 at the pub I ended up with three. That was the initial onset of the watch collection, only cheap watches but there you go. It all slowed down to a halt when money was diverted to fast motorcycles and taking girls out and then a mortgage. Some decades later and it started again, my only working watch if I recall had broken so I needed a replacement..... and a backup. You can see where this is going. And yes my F-91W is a prime staple in my collection amongst a some mechanicals and digitals. At risk of being shot at have you considered a G-Shock? I'll get my coat.
Vampire in Paris. Part of why I love the videos, the great writing. Well done, and lovely watch collection!
I love my Grand seiko, I'm so glad you have some too, absolutely amazing quality
One of your best videos so far! 🙌 Lisa (my wife) wants to see Charlotte's collection!
Love that you started with Grand Seiko. The dial on the Sea of Clouds SBGP017 is stunning 🌊☁️
Love to see her collection
Your Grand Seiko Omiwatari is hands down the crown jewel of your collection . Congrats!
I love your Grand Seiko and the Casios. Great collection.
Very good taste Andrew. Impressed by all the pocket watches!
You have 2 of my favorite GS models in your collection. Fun video!
Love this !
Awesome collection!! So much good taste and interest. Very cool.
Yes let's see her collection as well!
Yes. A review of Mrs. Morgan’s collection please 🙏.
Grand Seiko - Totally on brand for you! Excellent choice 😀😀
I've got a Cartier santos, a patek Philippe nautilus, two Oris big crown pointers, some vintage mechanically wound Oris watches, Hamilton ventura XXL skeleton, an oyster perpetual and yet I walk around wearing my Casio edifice 😂 wish my wife supported my watch collection, I just pray she never finds out how much I've spent on my current collection 😅
Nice to see a Christopher Ward, I have many and a fair number of the rare ones. My favourite is the white dial, red bezel GMT MK2.
Thanks for sharing! It’s exciting to see what you choose with your budget given you have handled thousands of watches. The reality is watches are expensive, but most people don’t have the money (or don’t want to spend the money) to afford thousands of dollars worth of watches, so I’m glad you are not just another youtuber showing off how much money you spent on watches. It’s really ridiculous how we praise “collectors” for spending their (or their family’s…) money….
Anyways, I really like the omiwatari and Christopher Ward. The quarter repeater is super cool.
A very humble and interesting collection and not following the usual trend of people. Refreshing change 😊 keep the interesting fun videos coming
Great Collection....!
Great, now I’m going to throw myself down the pocket watch rabbit hole. Thanks Andrew.
Really enjoyed this one! Your grand seikos hit it with me. Cheers
Will you max out at 10 or continue to add? I feel like after 10 it’s a good time to start trading up instead of adding more. Great video 🙌🏼
10 is a good number for collections generally
@@justadudeintheworldman.120Well...It's a good Start!
lulz.
th-cam.com/video/JA_Mfvt1IIk/w-d-xo.html comes to mind :)
@@justadudeintheworldman.120I agree. I’ve been trying to stay at 9. Not easy😅
@@happydogg312 7 is a solid number. I’ve seen some cool 6 piece travel case style watch cases. 🥂
That Grand Seiko does it for me, thank you.
About time 👏👏
Like you I have a Hamilton 992 pocket watch. I inherited it from my father-in-law, who inherited it from his father. It’s actually a 1935 992E. I DO wear it as a watch from time to time. I’ve even bought waistcoats to go with it. I love looking at the movement, but would rarely sneak a peek at it for fear of getting dust in the movement. Thank you for the suggestion of swapping the crystal and case back. Now I can look at the movement anytime I want. Then on the special occasions when I want to wear it as a watch, I can just reverse the swap. Super!!!
Fantastic video and fantastic collection! I enjoy that your collection spans a number of genres and price points, even including some vintage pocket watches! 10 is also a nice manageable size. For me, my perfect collection size is 6 (mostly because 6 is a perfect number, mathematically). That's also the hard upper limit of my collection, so if something comes in something goes out.
And here we thought we already knew all of your watches! Andrew than repeater pocket watch blew me away. Brilliant idea to have the dial removed. Thanks for the share!. Would love to see Charlotte's watches as well.
Hey Andrew, great video and great collection! When we chatted at the Seattle event you were wearing that groovy Casio worldtimer, although I would have loved to have seen the CW in the metal! Keep up the great work and content!
All your videos are amazing. Your voice is like born for the radio 📻 🎦 and “voice over”. It was pleasure to meet you in Dubai Watch Week.
I really like the pocket watches! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing collection, very nice 👍
Good collection mate. Well done 🎉
Great video, really nice to see what’s in your collection. Definitely want to see Charlottes 😊
That CW 12 on the rubber strap is clean, you got me wanting one myself!
Seeing Charlotte's collection would be a great video. Thanks for sharing this one.
A very eclectic mix with Grand Seiko being my favourite and a watch brand I hope to own myself one day long in the future, and definitely up for seeing Charlottes collection, I already know its got a Casio a MoonSwatch and a Rolex perpetual calendar, Great video as always.
I have an 1890s Waltham pocket watch in my collection for similar reasons, and it works!
The Omiwatari is out of this world. I’m so tempted even though it’s likely way to dressy for my lifestyle!
Great collection and as always impeccable commentary. Have to show Charlottes collection aswell, maybe get her to to a hand cameo like the OG days🤣👍
Wonderful choices from modern tech to antique. I love pocket watches too!!! Who cares if they can even still tell time!!! 😂. Yes. Charlotte next please!
Very cool collection.
Eclectic, mad, awesome!
Absolutely want to see Charlotte’s collection! Good job sir on an interesting and personal collection. Can we see a video on that chain drive repeater? Collecting is an endless complex of interesting angles. Don’t let the algorithm drive the content too much to the criticism and hot takes, keep going on the stuff that makes watches cool in the first place!
Thanks for sharing, Andrew! We would love to see Charlotte’s!
What an incredibly refreshing collection that doesn’t cost upwards of £50k. Great video, shows you don’t need to spend 10s of thousands to enjoy this hobby.
Very nice journey and collection and my favorite by far is the CW.
Love your videos. Nice collection.
Interesting collection for sure, and not what I expected.
Simply love the collection! I even have 3 of these watches - the Casios and the Mars Swatch! Thanks God it wasn't another Rolex boring dominant collection! Imo any collection that doesn't have a Rolex is an interesting one!
Ti Twelve sounds like a great wear!!
I would not ditch any of these watches. All are beautiful. And yes please, would love to see Charlotte's collection
Tudor is my favourite of yours.
Would be happy to have either of the Grand Seikos.
That gs spring drive looks so nice
I’d like to see Charlotte”s collection please. I enjoyed your collection too.
Hello Andrew!
First comment here I think. Nice video and nice collection.
I am impressed that you got 10 watches. That really shows how easy and simple you are.
And yes I would like to see your wife's collection.
(I speak french so excuse my english.)
Happy that you are a Christopher Ward owner. They are great watches for the price.
The twelve is my favourite- may need to make a purchase next time I am back in the UK.
Awesome collection Andrew, would love to see Charlotte’s as well!
Wow. That GS omiwatari is something else. Extraodinary.
I have to disagree about the Tudor BB 58. I bought one for my son and I still get my eye caught by it. It’s just a really handsome watch.
One of the best, unpretentious collections! No snobbery there. Openness to different styles and makes. Thanks for the showing.
Except he left out on purpose all the watches given to him by brands for free.
@timak74 you mean to review. I think they all go back.
@@markbailey5393 nah. Most of them, especially cheaper ones, don’t want it back.
Gotta love those pocket watches! I started repairing them, which only made the habit worse, but it's glorious to hear all of them ticking in a quiet room.
I like the variety of the collection and it's not just Rolex, AP, and PP hype models.
Thanks for a look at your collection. I recommend you keep all of your watches. After a few months, notice which one's stay in the case. There you will find your answer.
probably the most interesting collection of watches for any price range!
Great vid thanks for sharing your somewhat quirky collection! Those pocket watch movements are fantastic! Yes please show us Charlotte’s collection! 👏👏👏
Just plain great......Wouldn't ditch a thing. They all have a story and that's what makes them priceless...IMHO :)
Gotta love the diversity. Even better that some of them are lovely gifts from your wife, amazing!
Oh that CW is very nice I’ve got 4 CW’s and great watch for the money.
I hope you can purchase an ALS sometime soon, Andrew. Your voice is a staple of the watch community and has and will continue to inspire so many collectors. Lovely collection!
the ward is super nice with sub 10mm thick, would love to try one!
Nice collection
All I want is this GS handwind model. It is the perfect watch.
I have two, both the same. But now thankyouverymuch I now need a Hamilton 992b.
I wish I could get a Seiko Spring drive as a skeleton pocket watch, or Citizen's Cal.0100 pocket watch at all.
Awesome collection. I have the light blue f91 w and Inspite of my family and friends calling it a toy watch and too small for my wrist, I still enjoy wearing it as much as my Cartier. I have the Casio world time too in black. I’m eyeing the omiwatari but too expensive as of now for me, but that’s the GS I’d love to own. Also attracted to CW 12 white dial in steel, but waiting for my bel canto to deliver first, experience their built and finish first hand before buying 2nd CW.
This video felt very personal and hence is more special. Waiting to see Charlotte’s watch collection .
YES! Please! Show us Charlotte’s collection! INCLUDING THE DVD!! 7:34
