This is the best pricing video I’ve ever seen. I especially appreciate how you explained specific numbers and formulas! Brilliant. You just got yourself a follow
Hi Mat! Rewatching this video and a question came to mind. Once you have the amount of time it’s going to take to clean it, if you are going to use multiple employees, in this instance lets say 2 employees, do you multiply that time by two or divide it by two? Example: $35 per hour, 4 total hours to clean, 2 employees. Are you plugging in 8 hours then multiplying by hourly rate or leaving the cleaning time at 4 hrs and paying each employee $35/2 hrs? Thank for your help, math has never been my strong suit lol
Great question! When it comes to quoting, I talk in terms of total hours. So if the calculator says it takes 4 hours to clean, then it should take two cleaners 2 hours. So for a price at $35 per hour, that would be $35 per hour per cleaner. I hope this helps!
Hi Matt. Love your videos! Im UK based where VAT is payable and all goods and services. Would you add the VAT after the price you come to on the final formula or would these taxes be included in the calculation?
Thx for the video - is the production rate table by industry per cleaner or crew? You mention your crew, which makes me think it's not per cleaner. If that's the case, it makes the index more challenging to use as a rule of thumb since I don't know how large the crews are.
@@CommercialCleaningCEO Thanks for the quick reply. So, if I am targeting minimum $5k per month facilities and assuming general office cleaning, then I probably need to look for minimum ~20k sq ft buildings based on 5 days a week, $35 per hour, and 3,000 sq ft production rate.
Question: Should i charge for the gas from my house to the job site? The client want to be cleaned 5 days a week and they are 30 miles away. So it's 1200 miles a month to drive there. I live in mississippi.
It depends on a lot of factors. Mostly, if it’s a remote area with little else around, then I do charge more because it’s not an area we are going to build out. But if it’s a main town or city, I personally don’t charge for travel because eventually we will have a team there. Ultimately, you can do what’s worth it to you.
Oh my gosh I feel like I’m in high school again!! And I am awful at math- and YOU clearly are a whiz,.. I’m over here like WAAIIITTTTT!!!! 😂😂 I’m going to have to rewatch this a couple times. I screenshot what I could but I need to write down what you’re saying to go along with my screenshots. Also just wanted to let you know- you do and you are doing a fantastic job at this and I’m SO happy I found your channel!

Thanks @GetPTCS! I do have experience with winning and completing post construction as well as apartment turnovers. However, we now avoid those in my market and refer them to others typically. They can be something to get you off the ground for sure though! Do you want me to make some videos about each?
@GetPTCS yes, I can absolutely do that. There is an investment for that because my time is limited and calls are valuable. I've never shared this publicly and it cannot be found directly on the site, so this is a first! If you do book a time, I'll be glad to help! go.commercialcleaningceo.com/private-consultation

For factories, you'll want to know the cleanable square footage. Like bathrooms, break rooms, offices, lobbies, and any walkways that will need maintained. You most likely will not need to clean the actual factory floor

@@DavidStechmann Yes, that logic is accurate. Of course, these are generalities and facilities will vary on density and needs.
Great video and explanation, but what about office cost if you have one, tools, storage for tools and supplies, gas, staff, marketing and so on?
That’s what the final markup of 50-35% covers.
@@CommercialCleaningCEO Got it, thank you!
Sure!

What if the building is 326,800 square feet how do I go by asking for this company?
