I absolutely love the 20 series we have had 6 9220’s and a 9420 and we love them. A 9220 was the very first thing i ever drove
Very cool. The 9220 was very popular in Western Kentucky where I live for corn planting with 24 row planters, grain carting and fall tillage.
@@bigtractorpower it has been the all around best tractor for us able to do every job except inject manure and speed disc. Here in western ny they are also very popular
They're great until someone needs fuel filters for one, absolute nightmare trying to figure out which is correct

We have 2 9520s on dirt pans. IMO the 9020s may be the best tractors derr ever made... They're bullet proof and sound awesome 👌.
This baffled me completely ... I always thought the 9520 was the largest of the 9020 series 🤔 ... I demo'ed a 9630 in the fall of 2007 and thought that it was the first 96 series tractor from Deere ... Well you learn something new every day ... Awesome video and sound thanks BTP !!! 😀👍

When I worked on the farm. I ran Deere 8760, 9300, 9420. Did everything from disc, precision land leveling, pulled grain carts, and pull levees. Farmed rice in southwest Louisiana.
Same thing in Northwest Mississippi. Miss those days!

Other than a kinze re power that Deere has the best sound I have heard from a Deere
7720-7920 also has a beautiful sound.
This is a tractor that definitely doesnt need a repower

33 foot on the back of a 500 horsepower tractor. Overkill is underrated
Of course there a lot of factors in determining hp requirements such as depth, soil conditions, speed and hills. But I really don't think that it's overkill with a 33ft double disc. I guarantee with that disc, you can make that tractor snort.
Sounds like it's spooled up pretty good. Good match for that disc.

Newer, quieter engines just don't sound this good anymore. I'm 17 and I hold this opinion.

Around April I was using one just like it I was pulling a 30ft chisel plow it was awesome with the GPS plus I was swathing will a macdon swather and we had to put on lifter's on the cutter bar all the wheat was laying on the ground

I have operator 9520 John Deere pulling dirt pans and the tractor has lot of power for the job
That goes charging off across the field with no messing doesn't it
Change your approach by 10 degrees and get a better cutting action on your disc blades🤠

We use a 9220 4WD Tractor and a 1435 35' Sunflower Disk.
Nice tillage team.
We have a 9220 northern Utah with a dagelman blade it does all our big tillage 15 foot dominator to a 42 foot flex oil chisel plow

They are just running over the surface to knocked on the stocks in the weeds to incorporate a cover crop.
If this was Europe they would be using a reversible plow,
And take ten times as long !

I always thought an "offset disk" did a better job.
An off set is a good primary tillage machine. They are disking on a cover crop in this field so they do not need to dig too deep.
Doesn't anyone see the problem with only building a line of tractors for 3 years, what will parts availability be like down the road?
This 9020 line of 4wds was the upgrade to the 9000s introduced in 1996. They are very similar. Plenty of parts with a decade of production between the two series.
