Wow, I’m not sure where you’re getting those prices but if you can actually sell for that amount, you need to hit up a few rural southern Ohio stores and resale them because probably 75% of those cost about half or less of what you have them estimated. I literally just bought LA women, first press with the cut corners and window in vg+ condition for $20. Elton John GYBR is at the same store, black rainbow mca label for $15.
lol!! I’m using eBay comps but they will probably need work. I’m still green on pricing/grading, but learning more every day. I figure if I begin a little higher and it doesn’t sell, I can always start lowering them till they do. Thanks for watching!!
lol!! I’m actually notoriously wordy and over analytical. But…. I tried real hard to keep it straightforward and to the point in this video. So I’m glad to hear good feedback about the direction I took with the format. I’ll keep that in mind when I film the next couple parts of the unboxing. Thanks so much for watching!!
Jaybird, I just want to thank you for being real. As a neighbor in GA I hope to meet up with you someday soon. As for your albums can you create a video soon on your process to determine grading, 1st pressings, etc.. I acquired 500 vinyl a year ago and have sold 300 for a great profit. I still can't figure out 1st pressings 😂 Keep up the Great work and GOD bless!
I’m still pretty much a novice on records myself, but currently putting in the time and study doing the research to get better. The 1st pressings are definitely a little tricky and still leave me uncertain at times. But I’ll be glad to relay that and other information the best I can once I get it all together. It would be great to meet up sometime! Maybe we can hit a big sale in the spring!
Definitely learned a lot already but I know I’ve only scratched the surface of what I need to know. Good thing is I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so far!! Thanks for watching!!
Nice!! Thanks so much for the information!! I was completely unfamiliar with them before buying this collection but I am loving the learning experience!! I especially enjoy tracing the musical family trees of all these old bands to see how they are interconnected. Have a great one!!
Your prices are WAY over-optimistic. Most of the albums you have are relatively common, and collectors will only pay top price for mint condition. You have a lot of damaged/tatty/discoloured covers there, too. And the condition of the records themselves is unknown. Cut your priced by 50% and you stand a chance to sell some ... Discogs gives a false impression of the market: just because a record once sold for $100, it doesn't mean they're ALL worth that.
I appreciate the advice. I’m still a work in progress when it comes to evaluating and pricing records. But hopefully by the time I work my way through this collection I’ll be a little more seasoned!! Thanks for watching!!
@@heavybliss Just doing the best I can using sold comps on eBay. I’m admittedly new to buying and selling records with much to learn and I’m appreciative of any help from those who know more. Hey Andrew! I’ve been enjoying it too. Gonna try to start listing soon. Just wanna make sure I am accurately representing them first. Thanks for watching on buddy!!
I thought i seen 2 yardbirds records on your collection buy video?? Also you really have 2 do your homework on introducing the beatles albums. It was Heavily bootlegged and most copies are worth mabey 5 to 7 bucks. But if you have originals than you have a small fortune. Cool video thanks!
Thanks for the tip!! I sure didn’t know that, but I am enjoying every minute of the learning experience and am appreciative of all the feedback provided by those with more experience. I’ll be sure to look up the info necessary to authenticate them as best I can before listing. God bless!!
You should be showing the promo white labels and the Moby grape LP is rare if the guy is flipping the middle finger bird . I used to have both. They quickly air brushed out his finger
@@ImthePaulshouldnotbeallowedtod I did check the labels but I guess I didn’t realize people would be interested in seeing them. Thanks for the tip! And the Moby Grape albums are both early versions with the middle finger still showing.
Always store your albums vertical laying then flat is a good way to warp them. Also some of your prices are to high and some are to low. Also cover damage will drop the value drastically it can literally turn a 100 dollar record in to a 5 dollar or 99 cent record.
Still have a lot of learning to do on my grading and pricing, but I do have them vertically stored. They were just stacked that way for sorting at the time of the video. Thanks for the great advice and have a blessed day!!
@@allisonbarnes4475 LOL!! I appreciate your opinion for sure and I will freely admit I’m not a music expert across all genres and media types and I’m honestly not sure exactly what criteria qualifies one as an expert. I am learning about proper grading and values for these records as I go and will no doubt have plenty of adjustments to make as I do. The prices I gave in the video were the best I could do using eBay comps and my limited but growing knowledge of LPs and proper grading (a very deep, subjective, and complicated matter). So, knowing my limitations, I did the best I could to make this video an informative and pleasant experience for all watchers and was very excited to share it with my viewers and supporters in the TH-cam community. However, though again admittedly not a professional, I am a life long musician/singer/song writer/music lover. I play both guitar and piano, have been worship leader at my church for 20+ years, sang lead in three different groups over the years, and have a huge personal music collection. None of this could be known about me from watching this singular video nor was it the subject of this video. That said, though it seems a bit shortsighted, uninformed, and unnecessarily critical, I do value and appreciate your feedback and would welcome any and all constructive and helpful advice from yourself and anyone else better versed in this subject as I go forward. At the end of the day I want to get better at what I’m doing as both a reseller and a content creator. Thanks again for watching!!

It will be plus shipping. Lots of variables on pricing for most of those in the video. I based most of my comps on good to very good condition sold listings, with some exceptions for those in the best condition. I also fully expect to take and send offers, which will no doubt influence actual profit. But like I said in the video, I expect to sell everything for at least 2/3 or more of the comped value.

Your buckingham nicks sell realistically at record shows for around 60 each. A few years ago, they were looking at a little higher.
