I spent a day in EVs, including the new Cupra Born, jumped in my standard FN2 on the way home and realised how fun they really are. You can't beat being thrown around by a proper car. Best handling car I've driven is the celica 190, they're so flat. I guess this would be similar.

My ep3 after 1 week ownership my uncle snapped the drive shaft. New Exedy clutch 2nd hand drive shaft about 30k miles later and launch after launch rev limiter bash after bash and it still feels strong.

I bet it was something simple. The clip probably came off on the shift linkage that sits right on top of the trans. Either that or it broke there. But if hes not feeling any gears thats typically the issue. Wouldn't think internally.
