You could create a rectangular body with a bit of thickness. Then, convert that to a mesh and position it underneath the terrain mesh. Then in the mesh menu, combine the 2 meshes together. I should probably create a follow-up video showing the process.
Thanks Brad, I had a photo of our family's coat of arms and been thinking about doing something with that. This should make it easier.
Hope it works out for you! Sounds like a cool project.
Wonderful and different video, thanks Brad. HANWE 🙂
Thanks Mr. Tallis all the best.
hey Brad, fantastic explanation. But you know what I am missing? Machining action as it was back at the time at Peer 9 ...
Ya, I'm hoping to create some videos with the manufacturing guys at NexGen. Keep your eyes open for those.
Great video. How would you add a base to the map so you can 3D print it?

@@bradtallis8968that would be great.
I'm curious how long that took, even on the VM2. That was a nice long toolpath ;)
I don't remember the exact time, but it was a bit. :)
awesome!
could this be used for 3d print?
Yes, if you added a base to it. I would create a rectangle with a bit of thickness, convert it to a mesh, then combine that with the terrain map mesh.
