I always find blackmail to be pretty interesting. For example, North Korea threatened Sony if it released the movie, "The Interview." Well, that sort of thing only tells people what North Korea really doesn't want. So, that can be used against them. Sony should have then threatened North Korea with release if it didn't get something from North Korea.

The story was badly presented in the first part of the video with some misinformation, most likelly due to insufficient knowledge in IT. The part about how Pax got hacked missed a few key elements like how they got a security researcher(they are not idiots and wont get hacked easilly) to open and run a program containing a virus misrepresenting him as someone careless and look like an idiot for doing so. Pax didint shut down north koreas internet. Those who had access to outside internet still had it and could visit websites like usual. What he did was he temporarily shut down north koreas state run websites that north korea willingly displays to the outside world so people can view them through world wide web. This however had no effect on the intranet(intranet is very similar to internet, but different. Internet connects the whole world and anyone can basicly access it(simplified ), but intranet is internet that exists only for devices that are connected to each other in some way that acts like internet but is not connected to the widely used world wide web.) people who are connected to north koreas intranet(north koreas version of internet that only has websites that north korea approves of), mostly north koreans, were not affected in any way whatsoever. I am not an IT or security expert so i could have explained some parts incorrectly or slightly inaccurately. But i thought i had to point these points out because the video in the first part was quite misleading to the general audience who do not understand IT and internet in depth.
This is very important. It should also be noted that the outside Internet of NK only contains about 20 websites. Launching a DDoS attack is also not very sophisticated and services like that can be bought on the dark web. I don't want to discredit Pax, but facts like this should be noted. It is not comparable to something like Stuxnet (The Iranian nuclear reactor hack)
I don't question battleminds, that's why I favor a cabin in the woods with a pet duck, away, from the rest of many lunatics who are supposed to be in stasis of Harmony.

Let's all agree that you're a bot that's farming subscribers from small children and people who misclicked only to later sell said channel to some lazy person who wants a big headstart in the TH-cam sphere.
Yeah it's innacurate because it wasn't just a twitter account. They created a WHOLE fake website posing as security investigators, with fake reviews and comments: Everything seemed legit. Then they would ask to work together and send a program for investigation, that also included a hidden malware with the purpose of >stealing information on vulnerabilities, to use as weapons themselves< . P4x and most security investigators use virtual machines with a lot of security measures, so they were safe from that tricky backdoor. However it seems like there was another hidden malware on the blog because some users were hacked JUST by reading the blog (not downloading anything). It used a Windows 10/Chrome vulnerability that was very advanced (worked on latest patch) , with complex social engineering and lot of effort put into the phishing page to make it look real. This is why it's almost certain to be a state sponsored attack (North Korea or even China disguising it's IP), because it's a new vulnerability never seen before paired with top notch obfuscation methods used in order to clean it's tracks after the attack is done: A good hacker can create a deadly virus, but only a group of the best hackers can make it untraceable.
The only internet in North Korea is the government one which only does propaganda. It's not like our internet at all. That said, I still applaud the hacker.
@@mr.boomguy It's a minor error on her part, but yes, there is a difference. The clip she showed was from the movie 'Alien' (no 's'). Aliens was the sequel to that movie.
