You didn't mention it but I noticed you quickly dropping grenades and picking them back up, it's such a simple thing but it didn't occur to me until seeing it. B throwing grenades is tricky and goes in predefined arcs like eggs, but after re-grabbing it you can just toss it straight up/down left/right like a regular item!
Is it any tutorial to how to perform it.

Can't you just press forward A to throw it in the regular way. Take out the grenade then do forward A to throw and it will have the same effect

This tutorial was sick, you are so good at explaining what we need to know and you focus on the important aspects of Snake. I feel though, as a recommendation, that you should have a controller cam so that we can see how you are doing certain tricks (such as that c4 on ledge).
Thanks so much for this video! I have recently reached Elite Smash with Snake and a few other characters, so these strategies will really help my game more. As a Snake main, I approve of this video!

Snake literally takes this game to the next level. His moves add so much depht to the game, one of the most interesting characters ever. Very hard to master but very satisfying when u start to understand his playstile. Been one of my favorites since brawl and had the best design in pm honestly.
I hope you see this Jtails! I was wanting to learn snake so I was grinding in training and online thinking I’d eventually figure it out. My gsp got as low as 50,000 before I stopped. Then I watched both your videos and kept practicing all day today online and I JUST made it over a million. I know a million isn’t insane but I’m playing way better and having way more fun with Snake! Thank you man!

thanks for making this video man. I learned alot about Snake from this. Also I don’t think you mentioned this but you can instantly plant c4 on opponent after down grab. A well timed grenade hit plus c4 detonation (on your opponent body) is almost a guaranteed kill at higher percentages.
Your videos were the first ones I watched when Smash 4 started. Now with Ultimate I picked up Snake and looked up guides just to find out you already had a guide waiting for me.

Haven’t unlocked all of the characters in Ultimate and I’m not as good at this game competitively as I’m more used to traditional fighting games, but I see why I keep coming back to this character-Snake has _a lot_ going on. What an amazing design.

Really cool video. Snake is such a cool character, I'm glad he is back. His set ups are really fun to watch with all of the zoning and combo extensions using explosives, he seems like a pretty strong character with a ton a killing power and space control while also having decent mobility and weight.

One cool thing to do with the side B is to let the rocket go, make it go a little upward and then press shield to cancel it so you can act while the rocket is still going.

My notification sound is the metal gear codec noise so when this video opened I checked my phone and then realized I'm dumb
I'm a complete newbie but I love playing snake and this video really opened my eyes as to what I can/should do with him.
There is a new mechanic with snakes down throw in ultimate you will start to get frame advantage the higher percent your opponent is so at about 160 you have a true kill confirm with up tilt.
I just saw that video, very insightful and important to know!

One thing I'd like to add after watching pro gameplay. Downair is an amazing move that can allow for mix ups so I recommend any player uses it and plays around with it to find a good use for it in their gameplay. It gives you height when shorthopping as well so you won't touch the ground until after you finish the entire thing.
Your videos has encouraged me to get better at the game. Really appreciate your work put in to explain things like movement, aerials and b reverse.

I appreciate that you briefly talk about reactability in this game because I feel like it may be the most damaging misunderstanding that new and low-level players have about fighting games as a whole that prevents them from actually getting good. I wish more people were clear about this stuff in the Smash community because it took me a long time to figure out this fact and its implications. The FGC talks about reactability *all the time* and it seems like it ought to be *more* emphasized in a game where you can hardly react to any attack's startup.
I kind of hate that I can impress people just by hitting them while they're above me.

I live for those moments I plant down a C4, we fight, they forget, and then knock me off the map which gives them a rush to run towards me to edge guard, but little do they know I remembered that C4.

Off of the Dthrow tech chase, short hop dair beats all three 'neutral' options (None, Wakeup, Wakeup Attack), and can be used to chase down rolls.

There’s only to do such a thing & that thing that will guide you is getting a doctorate on theoretical physics.
It’s how he knows every possibility thing people do because he’s played so many games

1 thing I like to do is up smash when the opponent is ahead of you, run and back throw them into the mortar when it’s about to hut the ground/hits the ground. It’s hard to pull off but worth it if u can do it.
Ally has been doing alright using D-air as well, seems like a really good option to short-hop down air out of your shield
I only tested this combo on metaknight but up throw up air was true inconsistently until 55%

I watched this hoping to improve my snake game. And it is so weird noticing how differently we play snake, I try to use my C4 and Side B to control as much of the map that I can, very rarely going in for an attack, and when I do it is usualy only for a KO, really cool to see other ways to play him!

Wow. Love the tutorial video and understanding how to use him. He was a character I wanted to use since Brawl. But, a friend I use to know was a pro with him that he was so OP that I couldn't do it.
