I think it was Loco Motive. A point-and-click murder mystery with three protagonists. Greatly enjoyed it all around. I'm not sure if Zet Zillions released this year, but that one i would mention too. Fun sci-fi deckbuilder roguelike with some memorable characters and BOLD, cool art style. And Decline's Drops is a good 2D action platformer with long-term DLC planes. But i would *want* to say Magenta Horizon. Very aggressive 2D hack-and-slash game with good story and a lot, LOT to offer in its mechanics. It's downright criminal how little-known it is. Even with how much i'm struggling right now against most bosses and the middle part of the game, i do want to really implore people to play it more. It deserves it. Oh, and i have PRIM (goth point and click) too but i haven't yet played it. And there was Blud, was a bit more style than substance but the love for the product does drip off it, in animation and writing. Decent one. (Bonus mentions for earlier years: 2020: No Straight Roads 2022: Soulstice 2023: Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Cookie Cutter)

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't heard of any of those, but honestly, they all look really cool and unique, I think I might check a few out this year!
