There’s a reason this has been considered the saddest Disney death scene of all time for many reasons:
How caring and loving Mufasa is toward his son
The line Scar says before throwing him off
The look of utter shock and helplessness in Mufasa’s eyes
Simba looking on in pure helplessness
And we can’t forget the bit where Simba sadly tries and fails to wake up his dad
It all just works really well together.
And it's so sad because it's his brother and the complete and utter shock he had was so sad :(
When I was little, I felt so furious at Scar for the betrayal!😅
I think one aspect about Mufasa’s death that I don’t see being brought up often is that there are no closure or final exchanges between him and Simba.
And to top it all, the first five words to instill the guilt in Simba
plus the music in the background was perfect for the scene. Disney shouldn't have stopped making 2D animation
One of the saddest if not THE saddest scene in Disney history. And Scar, one of the most sadistic, evil villains of all time
Long live the king
It's the saddest ever 😢
I believe scar and judge Frollo are the most evil villains
@@danielalima5663 Scar and Lord Shen from kung fu panda 2
@@youknowmyname9606 you're totally right
I love the collective response of “UGH SO AWFUL” when you see Scar emerge from the dust. Exactly how it was in the theater!! 😂
The guy with glasses and a black shirt in the very top right doesn't stop talking for even 1 second, fucking hell
pain in the ear
I’d rather listen everyone sobbing uncontrollably or do that sniffling thing with their noses than listening that guy on the top right just making his own unnecessary commentary. Kinda takes you out of the emotional moment.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I was looking for this comment
He's a mouthy pos
Chato pra caralho mesmo, o cara não cala a boca momento nenhum, todos falam um pouco e se calam, mas ele não, ele tem que tá falando sem parar 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
That "Kill him" is super cold in a bad way
My favourite part about this scene is how realistic mufasa’s death is especially for a kids movie, there’s no closure or final exchange between him and simba, and the last bit of emotion he had before his death was one of utter shock and horror as he realises his brother bretrays and kills him. For a kids movie that’s pretty rough but amazing in showing us how evil scar is which makes his defeat that much more satisfying.
When Scar Said:"No One Ever Means For These Things To Happen" Still Gets Me NO Really It Kinda Makes Us Wonder WHY Did The Holocaust And 9/11 Happen? Everytime I Watch This It Makes Me Think About The Survivors Families Who Were Tragically Murdered In The Holocaust And The Victims Of 9/11 And Everyone Remembers Where They Were And What They Did
yes, as there was no closure or last interaction between them, that's why his death of Mufasa feels sadder and that's why Simb couldn't find a way to get over it no matter how much time passed
Honestly I never really thought about that till now, that’s a really good point
Special Thanks to Hans Zimmer for this masterpiece of score. "Stampede", "under the stars", " king of the pride rock"...absolute eternal soundtrack! Long live Zimmer!
I've seen this scene like a million times and I STILL cry like a baby at it! Goes to show how powerful it is!
A Son losing his Father 💔
This is still one of the saddest and darkest Disney moments.
LONG LIVE THE KING!!!
James Earl jones has passed away 😢 at the age of 93 on Monday, September 9, 2024.
And today It actully happend. James Earl jones passed away at the age of 93. Rest in power, king🥺😔💔
the part where Simba cries after his dad died broke my heart when I saw this in theaters as a kid and it still breaks me to this very.... very... 🥺😢....😭 I'm not crying.... you're crying 😭
:/
LONG LIVE... THE KING...
*AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Awh that’s real fucked up, Scar
Gives me chills even three decades later
(Godzilla roar)
The man on very right above doesn't stop talking man..
Lol yea
Yep waiting on someone to tell him to stfu....
This hits so much harder today 😢 RIP James Earl Jones 🥀
Disney used to traumatize us with thier realistic depictions of life and death....
Now they traumatize us with their terrible depictions of life and social anxiety.
So true
Or lack of creativity and talent
That guy in the top right hand corner is so annoying. He’d be the type it talk through a movie lol
Fr
This still makes me cry as an adult. Simba lying near mufasa's corpse was the straw that broke the camel's back for me 😢.
This is when animated movies were hand drawn not done with computers.
The wildebeests in this scene is CGI.
The way mufasa yells before he gets trampled always gives me chills.
Sad fact: James earl jones just sadly passed away
@@jdde756 I know it just makes this scene even sadder. Rip James Earl Jones
Gosh the way when Simba called help always bring me tears ! 😭😭
tell that black dud to shut up
Fr that dude talking about it as meme ruins it. proof not everyone should have a channel
🤣🤣
Mufasa I wish you survived that fall from your evil brother
I was 6 when I saw this in theaters with my grandma. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I ever cried at a movie
3:25
That's how I feel when James Earl Jones passed away. It's still made me sad. Long live the king
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🫅🫅🫅😭😭😭
I felt that way too.
Ahh, the feels have returned!!!!
There was no reason for Scar to make Simba believe he killed his father if he was just going to have Simba killed anyway. He did that simply to fk with him before his "death". Scar is so evil. But also lazy. Even when he became King he got all the perks with non responsibility. The whole kingdom and land went to sh*t. He was lazy but who did nothing and only wanted more. He so lazy he could have killed Simba himself but made his henchmen do it for him. His laziness was his down fall. Not only Simba coming back but Scar being so unfit for battle made Simba beat him in their fight.
You are correct. Scar is evil and lazy. And telling Simba that he killed his own father as a lie is wrong. Scar believe that being king is about power. And sending all female lions to hunt down all animals are bad. He's turning the entire Pride Lands into wasteland where there's no food, no water and no life on the planet. And yes, the Hyenas kill Scar because he betrayed them.
Scar was the textbook definition of a sadist. Also, Simba never stood a chance, as his birth pretty much ended any possibility of Scar becoming a legitimate successor to Mufasa, so Scar detested his nephew the moment he was conceived.
As a child I remember how it hit me very hard when Simba found his father dead. I felt speechless and my heart broken, desperately when Simba tries to wake him up and fails, I didn't want to believe Scar's plan worked; and it even makes it sadder how caring father was Mufasa and then Scar betrays him heartlessly and blames to Simba
1:39 even in this second I was hurt by Mufasa's sad look, I feeling that he was willing to protect his son even if he couldn't save himself, before being suddenly separated from him
I pretty much had the same reaction too. Also to James Earl Jones's passing too.
Be prepared 💯🔥
The part when simba was crying seeing his father’s death, I just wanna hug him so bad, it broke my heart!💔💔💔😢😢🥺😭😢 the most saddest part of Disney history!😭😭😭
Very sad fact that his voice actor passed away too
What makes Scar so terrifying as a villain, is his narcissism and psychological annihilation that do exist in the real world. And his VOICE 😮 (Jeremy Irons borrows it all the time)
As if the scene itself wasn't bad enough, Hans Zimmer decides to hit you with a double gut punch again to finish you off D:
It was a sad 😔 moment the man with glasses cannot shut up 🤐
Lol yea
Don't be rude
People sometimes ramble to distract themselves from crying tbh
that guy never stops talking omg
Fr Pain
Yaayyy, keep up the work! More Lion King please?
It hits different now.. RIP James Earl Jones.
There is no death in the history of animation more iconic and tragic as Mufasas death. Unfortunately HE IS GONE...Rest in peace.
R.I.P James Earl Jones
does that guy in the top right ever stop talking?
Dud Never 💀
I Cant Even Hear The Movie And Other's Reaction
He said the same thing for 5 minutes. we get it you thought it was the kid that got killed from the meme
I was just thinking the same 😂
Same like shut up and watch 😂
Yeap,he is anoing :v
Great video, despite top-right's incessant talking
I feel bad for Mufasa 🥺💔
That music is tear inducing 😢
The scene where Simba becomes king at the end of the movie better be on here
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this movie, the scene where Simba finds Mufasa dead in the gorge always gets me in the heart. Especially the fact that Scar gaslights Simba into thinking it was his (Simba's) fault.
@@rainbowpegacornstudios Exactly, the way Scar inflicted lasting psychological damage that Simba has to deal with for the rest of his life - not even withstanding taking away his father - is cold-blooded in the worst way, and scariest of all is that it's Realistic. You don't see that in the other Disney villains...
@@ATRaine Not even Claude Frollo who abused Quasimodo and persecuted Esmeralda for rejecting his advances.
@@rainbowpegacornstudios I saw that movie one time when I was like, six, so I completely forgot. But yes, he is up there too for similar reasons.
@@ATRaine I haven't seen that movie in so long. The hand drawn scenery is spectacular. Especially all the views from Notre Dame cathedral's upper floors.
sad news that James Earl Jones who voiced Mufasa in this film passed away yesterday, R.I.P.
This scene hits different when you've actually lost your father at a young age I was only nine
:/
I’d like to recommend Disney’s Tarzan: opening sequence, Tarzan vs Sabor, Baboon Chase, Tarzan vs Clayton and Tarzan ending. Keep the reactions coming. Love them!!!
may be in future.
@@lornfor Of course in the future. 😊
Don’t ever tell top right guy a secret
Damn u Scar idgaf what anyone says this is the saddest disney moment 🥺😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔
This scene still gives me a physical pain in my chest when I see it from start to finish. Absolute masterpiece.
The fact that SO many tears came from watching the same moment is si powerful to see, even in a small sampling here.
I wish I could mute the person on the far upper right 😂
Same!
RIP james earl jones
People sometimes forget to realize that mufasa ends up dead at the tree where he rescued simba
THE WAY THEY ALL STARTED CRYING 😭
Bro, that guy in the top right corner, just wouldn't shut the hell up the whole video
The guy in the black shirt needs to BE QUIET
FR! HE IS SO ANNOYING
@@Nathaniel_PH55just like you if don’t like him talking click off the video
@@itsyaboyjay9045 Who Would Expect He Will Be Noisy As Hell, At First I Was Alright With It, But Dud As The Video Goes He is Even Saying Nonsense Things Like The 'Meme'
You can even tell his reaction is not genuine. He's just trying so hard to think of words to say so that he can keep talking.
@@downup-fx7wr fr
I bawled my eyes out I was 11 when I seen this in theatre and not one person didn’t cry or shed tears but tbh I learned a lot about father and son relations and especially morals so I’m glad I grew up on this movie based morals
Scar is definitely my favourite character long live the king☠️
:/
Better believe i SOBBED when Hans played this music live
Heartbreaking 😢
Do simba vs scar final fight scene next please(include scar’s death in it too)
may be in future.
When I first saw this scene in theaters with my family all those years ago, my sister burst into tears.
Even now, she can't watch it without crying and she's in her late 30s
James Earl Jones r.i.p
My parents pulled me put of school the day I hit theaters. I'll never forget how hard I gripped those arm rests
What a great villain is Scar!
James earl jones did too much with that scream 🤧
It’s always the music for me . I’m a super empath and since a child I couldn’t even watch this with my cousin cuz his Father had passed. So we literally watched Simbas Pride probably a hundred times . And somehow when I wanted the Lion King vhs I couldn’t get it until 03
This was ahead of its time… 😢
“He’s okay!” 😭
W man for uploading
Dude in the top right is just talking and repeating himself more than reacting makes it hard to focus on anything but him.. Love the others reactions but the guy is a distraction.
Yeah Fr Its So Annoying
Ok?
I saw this movie whrn it came out and no other film have ever came close my harr always break for Simba but thats just how nature works i was inspired to become a wild live warden because of this movie
Who else is here due to the news about the death of James Earl Jones?
Como sufren las mujeres con está escena 😂, bueno yo también 😭
Everybody crying except Asian McLovin 😂😂.
i'm glad to see u ninetail brush and white noise!!!!!
Ok i need tos top now I'm bursting with tears i just watched bambi now this ok my day is now ruined...
0:28 I get emotional 😭
Unfortunately, Mufasa had is coming. Hear me out! Scar was basically abused by everyone except for his mom, Zira, Rafiki, and the hyenas. Everyone basically said he was not worth anything, said really other mean things about/to him, physically hurt him, & his dad spent way more time with Mufasa than him. Hell, his real name is Taka which means trash so you can tell how is dad was. I do think that killing Mufasa was too far. But then again, they were all dictators.
I remember in high school in beginning of 2015 when I was a sophomore when my classmate chose this on vhs on an old tube tv during lunch time where we dont eat in a cafeteria we had a special needs student classmate when it reaches that part he was the only one that cried while the rest of us were watching it so our teacher did turned it off cuz she heard snickers.
you should do the scene where simba and nala fall in love!!! That's an adorable scene!!!😍😍😍
Scar, Mother Gothel, and Frollo are pure examples of gas lighting.
It wasnt until i was an adult i realized how manipulative Scar was. Then when Simba confronted Scar he tried manipulating him again and like an idiot Scar told on himself trying to brag and it backfired
Who's here after hearing the sad news?
worst part of betrayal…it’s never from the enemy
1:22
Scar's face...that's fear. His plan is not working...the King is going to some how...impossibly...survive
And then
That Sad bro
The second Scar popped up and started gaslighting. Simba immediately had to grow up and get out in the real world. But yea worst uncle ever
Hopefully you can do Hunchback of Notre Dame and other movies.
may be in future brother :)
You have all of my favorite reactors on like The Homies group, Tim with Clariss, and White Noise accept for the one on the top right cause he is very annoying.
The Homies have grown on me, and I usually find their reactions genuine.
@@tmc31390 Me too can’t forget Laura, Blue, and Magy as well!
What's crazy is worse than this actually happens. Like in real life brothers attack brothers and kill and eat the kids
Can you make a reaction video about the Be Prepared song of Scar?
i might in future.
Please don’t include mr. top right again.
I’m so freaking annoyed this guy is bringing up memes. Memes ruin everything, I swear, turning iconic moments into jokes so it loses it impact in the actual movie. Gosh, I hate memes.
Fr, like it’s sad that he’s only seen mufasa’s death in memes and not the real thing
Should do one where simba sees his father in the sky !!
Hey can you do the ghost of Mufasa next please.
I hope you make another vidoe about Simba
Guy in black shirt needs stfp
Lmao yea
