  • Installing Klipper on my TronXY x5sa
I need to preface that the USB connection on my TronXY F446 Board is not good. I did not use the connection before installing Klipper, and I now know it is loose and not consistent. Proceed with the Klipper install with caution.

I'm done with the dance back and forth with "Enginner Jeff" from TronXY, as he took my working X5SA with the DD hotend upgrade and turned it in to a paperweight that slams the hotend in to everything it can be slammed in to simultaneously, and swears the gcode sent to me is correct. I'll be installing this tonight. 👍🏾

Be careful. I found it to be a little unstable. I am going to upgrade the board.

I've got myself a bigtreetech Manta M8 board with the CB1 on it for christmas. It's been sitting there waiting for me to get up the courage to actually try and fit it to my X5SA Pro.

That should be a great upgrade.

This was very helpful. I have the same printer and bought an octopus 1.1 board. I'm also thinking about getting and sonic pad to control the printer. I'm a little intimidated bc I have never done this before. How long did it take tronxy to get you the firmware

Glad you found it helpful. I have not gotten anything from TronXY. I did get the some links from the reddit and Facebook TronXY communities.

Nice vid, I have BTT Manta 8/CB1 combo on my X5SA 400 Pro, and and Pro being used very loosely haha. An X5SA is the most expensive frame kit out there as by the time we are finished with upgrades not much of the bits are left. Their customer service is laughable.

I think the Mercury one.1 build will allow me to use the most parts for the cheapest cost. Luckilyy TronXY only cost $189.

Hi Sir, Do you have any update on this build with a Manta M8P? , i just bought this printer the 400 pro for $175 , i bought a manta m8p with it and upgrade it right away. i owned an ender 3 pro prior to this (bought it second hand) and have had it for a year it was crap but learned how to made it print high quality prints. I want a 2nd printer with large build volume for my future projects.

I have not updated to the manta but I did on another printer. Do you have a question I could answer?

Make sure you research the upgrade. I find it to be a little unstable. I am going to switch out the board in a future video.

The filament sensor detects but does not pause when out of filament.. is there a solution for?

I will be honest, I never really use the filament senson. You should take a look through the menus there is probably a setting. You can also look at updating the firmware to add pause functionality.

After I got it installed, it never ran well. I have taken it apart and I am going to build a vzbot eventually.
