Nice that you're appealed to this one and I'd say its because from they're from their own series of gundam and just that they're gundam, a popular series that brings a lot of people to build. They have their own story and have existed in some kind of media. A lot of them have character and its just plenty of people like the design enough to collect the other variants. Generic is that doesn't stand out as unique or carries too many other things without bringing much to the table. With that meaning, I'd say it is generic since it resembles the seed series while not having much character to it though it does have shelf presence. The issue isn't just that its not gunpla but a lot of Chinese companies love doing seed designs with the freedom-esque wings that people kind of get sick of them and the colour scheme isn't that appealing to others as something like sky defender or apocalypse. I'd say a lot of people are either looking for something that uses inspiration from other series along with some kind of cool gimmick or just an original and good design
@@epistarter1136 aside from the strike freedom none of the seed kits have this much presence. i think people compare it to seed because their brains cant process anything being unique or individual (though im sure they all consider themselves unique individuals..) i see it all the time with videogames. nothing can be its own thing to these people its always got to be "like" x combined with y which is just weak logic, because surely both x and y can be traced back to the atari 2600 (without pitfall there can be no super mario brothers). to be honest i see most gundam series retelling the same story with different characters.. which really isnt very original. the backpack from this kit is nothing like ANY of the seed kits (and gundam didnt invent wings) and the body has FAR more details than any of the seed kits aswell. personally i paint all my kits and usually scribe and add details, but with this one there doesnt seem to be a need for scribing or adding kibble. the kits DOES have waterslides that havent been applied in this video which would make it stand out more (not ver. ka levels of decals but theres a fair amount). i dont see it as generic at all, not that i buy generic looking kits but the f91 is WAY more generic than this thing.

Aside from that I'm just answering why people don't like it and it isn't just about being generic, its the overall design/colours like I said before, hell even this channel didn't like the proportions. There really isn't much to question besides people liking original gunpla. Doesn't matter whether or not you see gundam stories all the same, others enjoy them and collect them because of it, same with how you believe the opposite of others reasonings. You may not be open to seeing their perspective but its simply an answer to your curiosity as to why people see it and complain it to be generic. Genuinely does it not follow the meaning when the Chinese market is oversaturated with seed-esque designs/proportions?
for me, this ain't even close to seed kits because my primary basis is the frame structure. Inspired maybe but it's really different in terms of the inner frame. Also when you handle this kit in personal, this looks like a white gorilla 😂, long arms and torso then legs kinda fell short in length. lol
@@epistarter1136 heres the thing, not all opinions are equal. most people collect HG kits (:cough TRASH cough:) which is evident by bandai thinking recolors of the same kits over and over again counts as "premium". people who LIKE that bullshit have "uninformed" opinions. the backpack on this one is closer to the blade king than ANY bandai kit, but the vast majority of the twats that do HG kits dont OWN the blade king so they jump straight to "duh its a generic seed rip off" BECAUSE they are >uninformed
I just recently ordered this. Incredible price and detail. I hope the actual quality of this kit is the same as the video.
