Definitely agree, 182k on ours now and apart from routine maintenance, belts, clutch usual stuff it’s a brilliant car. Problem with land rovers is people don’t know how to fix them, and botch things up then blame the car for being poor. Not all land rovers are good but the FL2 is a brilliant car and if they still made them I would buy 1 tomorrow no question.
The most reliable of all landrovers is not a high bar to clear. They are all just poncey Chelsea tractors now for the rich, this at least looked like a good working vehicle.
Not tried a 2. Had a 1 which had electrics designed by some wretched chap from a mental health facility. Least my discovery 2 is reasonably straightforward to repair on the side of the A1 in a thunderstorm. Just wish I could find a completely reliable one. But probably easier to win the lottery 3 weeks on the trot.
The Land rover Freelander is a very capable car .This is not a 4wd Mondeo , this have like the grand vitara a center diff lock and a really good engine
You believe what you want to believe but there's millions around the world that will strongly disagree with you. You are a course entitled to your opinion....
Cars will treat you as you treat them. No car will last long in the hands of a gorilla. If this particular gorilla moved in next door to me I would move immediately even if I lost a lot of money.
Got the distinct impression you weren't all that impressed with this car. I'm just looking at some reviews, to see if I should buy one. I think you might have helped my decision. I think you might have bought a dog, that car did everything but bark. The problem is, buying a car that's at the end of it's life, is not going to end well. These cars are great when you have just paid £45,000 for it, but it wont last long. land rover is just chinglish for "load of crap. I've known several pretty well off people buy range rovers, who eventually had to sell, because they couldn't afford to keep ploughing money into it any longer. Thanks for the laugh.
Bundle of scrap ! typical land rover first repair bill on a FL2 on 100k miles with a duratec diesel engine £2,800k, two years later and £7430 down gearbox re done , turbo re done intercooler re done , etc. its become a labour of love and turning to rust in full view whilst parked on the driveway and yes the engine management light still has a mind of it's own usually on the way to the MOT centre ! buy Japanese Land rover has always been a triumph of marketing over engineering that's why the company provide them free to Royalty and footballers !
I have three of them in the family. The 2w013 one I have just bought with 193k on the clock has been looked after, and cheap enough to keep mobile. The side step is not standard fit, so stop whinging and act like a sensible person. Spend some money on the car and learn to repair it yourself. Plenty of help available on forums. Most problems are cheap battery with a low voltage.
I'm not sure what you thought you were doing in the opening sequence but that's completely user error. Not bothering to watch any more, I think that's click bait.
All that needs to be said is ford 🤔 fix or repair daily . Ford have always made cheap crap that drop's to bits very quickly and now scrap by 7 years old the land rover Freelander is a joke and should not be wearing the land rover name.....
I bet you’ve never even been in one you muppet - mine is 15 years old, regularly serviced by me and 130000 care free miles and doing fine thanks - best LR product to date. For those who actually use them the FL2 is one of the few LR products that actually does perform. Great cars 🫡
Let's set the record straight I am not a land rover hater my first car was a S3 ex-military 109 land rover that I had for 14 years I also had another S3 ex-military 109 that I had for a few years my farther had a S3 6cyl 109 that we built from the ground up I also worked at a land rover garage for a time so I know a real land rover when I see one not taking a ford Mondeo turning it into a land rover even the camel trophy said they were junk ....
@@mo..6956 Sure Rambo, well if I needed a series 3 (actually the worst quality Landy to date) to remove my teeth every trip, was on special ops every day or a hill farmer carting shyte around regularly I’d join the noisy leaky club. The only problem with the Landy Freelander 2 is they stopped making it 😁
Sorry but the FL2 is a very capable car. Reliable engine, 45 mpg with a manual no problem. Comfortable and safe.
It’s a badly made bucket of shite

Freelander 2 is one of the most reliable of all land rovers with its PSA engine. Its also one of land rovers best selling vehicles. Love mine
The most reliable of all landrovers is not a high bar to clear. They are all just poncey Chelsea tractors now for the rich, this at least looked like a good working vehicle.
@terrydelahunt842 don't have to be rich to own a freelander 2.
@@steve00712 I was referring to the modern landrovers, all of them are just for the wealthy now

The land rover freelander 1 and 2 are both brilliant and reliable nothing like a mondeo
The Freelander 2 with the 160PS 2.2 TD4 engine is the best around.
rock on tommy
Brilliant. My aunt had one of these. Spent a fortune keeping it on the road and it still broke down every few months. Absolutely cr@p
The Land rover Freelander is a very capable car .This is not a 4wd Mondeo , this have like the grand vitara a center diff lock and a really good engine
Absolutely love mine 264000 miles and no problems

Mr Angry honest car reviews hehehe
Honestly own an 2012 HSE 2.2 TD great car no problems it's maintenance and care brother
My inbred l 200 feels like a dream after watching your reviews 🤣
Had mine 12years no problems at all.
if you stopped pushing the button so much it might just work especially if you put the key in right you are just a bit impatient
Those ford engines get turbos coked up really bad and the go into limp mode. Very easy to clean it and will be right. Very good engines .
Atleast the 2.2d engine is reliable lol
Another funny video mate. Watch out top gear. You have competition.
Love it 😂 but also love my Freelander 2 😁
You believe what you want to believe but there's millions around the world that will strongly disagree with you. You are a course entitled to your opinion....
🤔Who invented limp mode?
🤔was it long John Silver ?
🤔What’s limp mode for 🤔
Apparently, limp mode is quite common after too much alcohol.

a jaguar x type is closer to a 4wd mondeo than this

Tommy your a funny dude but your "reviews" are so negative... I don't think you've ever had a good word to say about anything you've reviewed 😂
