- UNUSUAL FRUIT STAND ANTIQUE MALL! | RURAL ANTIQUE VINTAGE SHOPPING
Standing alone in a windswept vale, Thorp, Washington's Fruit Stand & Antique Mall is a regular stop for dealers and collectors traveling between Seattle and Spokane! Looming over busy I-90, it's a really different kind of operation that mixes Central Washington's agricultural specialties with an appreciable antique mall on its upper two levels, past farm and rail depot wagons (including the one hung from the rafters!). I never leave empty handed on any of my semi-annual passes through the mountains.
Western flavor in boots, range ware and Navajo jewelry are well represented as might be expected in this area of rangeland, but a broad range of colorful and interesting items give us cause to pause! Ceramic 1950s birds flock together in a Spring display, Watermelon glass stems from the 1920s and 30s mix pink and glowing green depression glass, even an original day-glo peacock print from 1970 make this a surprising roadside stop. Prices here are often retail, but can we dig out a few bargains to resell for a profit?
We find an Elton Bennett print, a working 1920s alarm clock and some mid-century gold glasses that can be had at prices we can resell for a profit in the big city on the top floor! Who says you can't shop in a busy successful antique mall and make money? Meanwhile, we get to see an amazing European hive, a 1920s blue enamel electric cookpot, and a phenomenal Jetboard that makes me want to hang ten!

Railroad depot baggage cart, signed turquoise jewelry, Fenton Burmese alley cat, Murano gold 1970s bird, California Originals flying bird set, 50s flamingo planters, Weller floral band jardiniere, Haeger couple back-to-back statue, Can-Can 1950s pinball machine face, Corning Country Festival, Czech canister set, Camel Cigarette stand, Burgermeister Beer sign, 1960s space saucer Toshiba radio, Blaupunkt radio, Wavecrest jewel box, Roseville planter, corbel, horseshoe 1940s fireplace set, DuPont fishing rod novelty box, Lucky Lager 1950s tin bar sign, Odessa John Deere ad level, advertising ashtrays and corkscrew, Colin Kapernick rookie card,
Steve Largent and Yogi Berra signed baseballs, comic books, Washington & Oregon 1950s table linen, Hawaiian shirt, Case Knife display, pump, Union Pacific Railroad ad card, etc.

I love the Lucky Logger beer advertisement because every time you spot it it reminds me of the movie Kalifornia with Brad Pitt. There's a terrific scene in that movie that refers to Lucky Logger. If I found one I'd surely buy it ! 😊

I'm going to have to agree. I haven't said it, because I thought it wasn't my place, but I began to worry about our George. @@TheAntiqueNomad I have a chartreuse gold splattered low rectangular dish with a seated lady that sits in the dish. My Mother had a number of planters in gold splattered maroon, and a pair of Asiatic dancer lamps. She did make lovely and interesting pieces.🖤🇨🇦

LOVED that KAYO radio sign. My mom grew up in the backwoods of Shelton WA and listened to nothing but country music. The car radio was always tuned to that station when she drove us around.

I still miss seeing Billy Mays on TV in his famous Oxyclean commercials, or "Uncle Billy" as my ex and I called him, despite not being related. He died June 28, 2009, in Tampa, Florida, age 50, of hypertensive heart disease. Too young.

Usually the old grave markers have been replaced with newer (grave robbing not considered okay)

Good evening, George! That black Haeger piece seemed like a good price, as far as what the prices are now. The black is definitely an attention-getter. I've just never seen a piece of Haeger that I liked😐 If those Czech cannisters had been in the Czech language, I'd have been after those. I'm much more interested in the origin language on things like that. I really liked that Wavecrest jewelry box. That faux crackle clock was nice. I like that kind of clock for an alarm clock. That Carnival Glass tumbler was Dugan's "Stork and Rushes" pattern. The Oliver Hardy lamp was a fun one. I finally found a W. C. Fields lamp to go with the Mae West one I have. Now I have a "Cuthbert J. Twillie" to Mae's "Flower Belle Lee". I liked the Arnold milkshake maker. There was an old steel trap beside the Grand Ole Opry book. I really like those old traps like that. OMG! I loved that European hive! I want that thing! That was a fascinating antique mall! Thanks for the take-along!!!
You caught me by surprise. I have seen a wide variety of interesting & beautiful lamps, but never a W.C. Fields or a Mae West. How cool you discovered them.
Haeger is great stuff if you're into mid-century, brutalism and MCM earthtones, but I know those are in no way your tastes! I think it's really cool that you want a set with the European writing, I'd use one as well but most Americans want English. Wavecrest is a favorite of mine, I hope to find some more significant pieces to show in the future! Thank you for your on-the-spot carnival i.d., I never did get my carnival patterns or EAPG down and still have to reference them oftentimes. I liked Oliver Hardy, but the WC Fields/Mae West are the best! That European hive was super cool and I'm glad you enjoyed getting a look at it

I sent another email, not sure if you saw it or not. Also on a different video you were talking about stamp blocks, not sure if you remembered or not, but last year I got a HUGE collection of those from an estate sale. Wow, I forgot about the Pepsi dispenser. We must have had one in the seventies because I instantly remembered the handle color. Are they reproductions? I can not believe they are really from my childhood and in this condition. I don't know how many of them are made in the US because I'm from Germany.

Wow...again thanks for education and wow..our wonderful NW,,,thank you..that was a funny kitty...not a big kitty person here. I am so grateful you enjoy glass...Watermelon...that was a neat name for it and loved it too..the peachy pink and green...my sis had too much watermelon theme and Noah's ark theme...herself and her first baby..now it is just a great melange' people want and like including our old garage sale for sure burnt wood owls and it is wonderful...another store for the list..thanks George. Corning ware with birds was lovely and good prices...I still use goodwill blue flower ones from eons ago.
I love places like this, lots of things like Franciscan apples and roses I just love seeing,,,maybe one day will get a teacup of each for collection...and remembering friend who had me to dinner using it...lots of older friends.

I do feel like I keep seeing the same things; however that could be because I was picking through people's garbage at age 6 and am now 65 and still on the lookout.
