I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's so rare on TH-cam to see a synth demo done by someone who can actually PLAY. Normally it's "let's press a few random keys and turn the cutoff up and down. Now let's play one chord and do the same". Very nice to see the OB-8 used properly.
I know what you mean. I've compliled a playlist for myself of synth demos to remind me what's on the market and with the majority of them the playing ain't good. I mean, half the time I think if you're not that great playing live you could at least write a little tune or play a few selected midifiles, but no, mostly it's just random keys being pressed.
I reckon Katsunori is just about the best synth guy on all of TH-cam. He plays actual music on these instruments, rather than bleep-bloop and random noises.
sounds like the old 80s demos that my father use to do by only using a Prophet5, jx8p yamaha rx21 and a tascam 80-8 or the portastudio 144,,,, good times
The police won't arrest you if you play Jump, stop playing that similar sounding thing and play Jump. That is a wonderful souding board, one of the best ever.
Probably doesn't want to get the video flagged by youtube. You should watch his Korg Kronos review. It's funny he plays a bunch of well known songs but changes them slightly. This is why UJIIE is legend.

finally a real player and not playing blade runner!
Thank you so much Mr. Katsunori ❤️🙏
Such a PHENOMENAL sound here! And building tracks in a single instant!
Everything Japaneseu-Robart-DeNiru here touches turns into gold. Excellent playing !
Japanese Robert DeNiro lol.
To fully appreciate this sound you need to hear it with other brands of synthesiser.
Always a pleasure to see you grove. :)

Great demo!! You're the man! :)
that solo!!! oustanding!!
At first I was skeptical about that bass sound, but it sounds amazing with the drums, reminds me of an overdriven electric bass.
OB-8 sits very well in the mix
a master at work! suki-da!!!
Simply great !! :D
killer sync solo at the end.. sync sounds are god given for pitch bend play..
Sounds like something from Pilot Wings 64. Very cool!

This guy is so cool and cold! Music.
My dream synth. The first extra $9000 I get, I get this synth, so......any eon now. Money no object-I’d take this before a CS-80.
Wait for the UB-Xa like the rest of us, and save $8000 :-)
Ujiie, I love you so much man !!! Cubase in Japanese, lol.
oh man..i wish i could find notes that quick ;)
Asian George Duke
Thank you for that
heehee, he said, "let's jump in and see how it works out." go ahead and jump.
I don't know what he's saying, but I know what he's saying if you know what I'm saying.
+Landon Balk You don't say?
+Landon Balk I sure do know what he's saying... He's saying: "Japanese Japanese 80s Japanese Japan Synth Japan Japanese Brassu Track Making." :P
He is saying " make it Funky"
;-)
あなたは伝説です
Anata wa densetsudesu
Nothing like the real late 70's and 80's synths. OB pad an brass mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
:') Great Great stuff! Put a track so we can enjoy listening you more and more!!!! :)
Brilliant
Le son analogique c'est trop bien.
You are great :D
Phantastic!
I'm so glad synths are smaller now. That thing is Huuuuuuggee.
You could make a 3 min track out of the first patch he played alone.
The pad at the beginning is absolutely beautiful (especially since the synth's tuned a bit sharp)-does anybody know how he made that patch?
+CompuCat ancient chinese secret
+chieftp Shadow Warrior!
+CompuCat He's Japanese.
Genius :)
best solo ever! :D
this is genius!
01:32 80's!!! "Dancuh popuh"
Yukihiro Takahashi (YMO)
Wonderful and beautiful video. Can anyone tell me which multi-track software does this master use?
Cubase. Check Reaper - www.reaper.fm/ for a similar (better?) but much cheaper DAW.
Anata ha Tensai!!
The solo is brilliant!
For some reason this reminded me of coming to america LOL
Remind me of Outrunners soundtrack.
Nice synth and track! What chorus effect do you use?
I played this level in Sonic Adventure!
JUMP!
thats what i said :DDDDD
Katsunori-sensei, do you have any music available for purchase?
I'd love to know how to play a piano / synthesizer ... But by now I have 23 years.
WoW
that synth is bigger than he is
The police won't arrest you if you play Jump, stop playing that similar sounding thing and play Jump. That is a wonderful souding board, one of the best ever.
Digiphex Electronics he changes it do to copyright reasons.
If you think this sounds like Jump you need your ears examined.
Probably doesn't want to get the video flagged by youtube. You should watch his Korg Kronos review. It's funny he plays a bunch of well known songs but changes them slightly. This is why UJIIE is legend.
I want that.
