the arabesc and the intermezzo is very nice. The fantasy is very interesting the slow tempo of certain passages brings new aspects which i never heard before

I fully agree. This fantasy is not a horse race. This would be by no ways what Schumann was thinking about .........Tempo is tempo, no ways to escape.

Engaging because to me it seems a very "Classical" performance: thoughtful, serious, almost understated, with no hint of Romantic sentimentality even in the wilder parts around 12:00.
