The opening piece awakens our inner angels and gives us wings to fly; Our dreams come to life with each heavenly chord, melody and rubati. Genius? I say YES.
A joy to hear these lesser known works by Schumann played by Sviatoslav Richter, he had such a light touch when needed but then immense power too. We are so lucky to have these You Tube films of him, for those of us that never got around to hearing him live. His Beethoven Sonata no 32 opus 111 from Moscow in 1975 was mind-blowing, the best I've heard I think and he is even tapping his foot at one point. Thanks for posting this.
Richter’s Schumann is so great. As a teenager, if I woke up from a nightmare, I would put on a record of the Waldszenen and that was it: I’d wake up the next morning with the stylus going round and round at the end of the record, unless my mother had been by.
Very good I prefer my flowers fresh. Blumnstucke too studied? When he banged, the Yamaha did not give a good tone. The recording is slightly wobbly? A pity. So nice to hear works for the first time!
We are watching one of the greatest pianists of the twentieth century. Extraordinary and compelling.
Sono senza parole per questa meravigliosa Toccata... grandissimo Svjatoslav Teofilovic...non mi stanco mai di ascoltarlo...
Richter è il mio pianista preferito.
ascolta chaimovich vadim
@@salvatoreantonaci1955 grazie dell'ottimo consiglio...ho cominciato subito...
Richter in all his glory! Watching him is like a breadth of fresh air! That's the making of a genius!

Was there anything that he did not play and play it divinely? What a giant!
Try" Richter the Documentary" where he says he played everything that was wrote.
Schumann and Richter bravo!!!👍👏❤
BRAVO,BRAVO, BRAVO....!!one of the GREATEST pianist of all time. I challenge you to name one greater....!!
impossible
For me marc André Hamelin, it's just my opinion🙂
Liszt
By far the best of all time, his talent beyond the possibilities of the piano
Josef Hofman
Beautiful concert. Great performance
Il piú grande pianista del ' 900
So sublime, as always!!

Thanks to you for all the treasures you've been sharing for years.
Thanks again to you both.
15:04 Richter smiles!
And his smile was lovely.

Toccatta super co gratilations!!!
And a precious, light-hearted moment in the Toccata when his page-turner removes the master's fogged-up glasses.
Right in the middle of one of the hardest pieces in the piano repertoire! Incredible
@@stefanufer608 SR sound pitiful in Toccata. His technical abilities deteriorated. He must not play it in public.
HOW CAN ANYONE PUT THUMBS DOWN TO RICHTER
only fools laugh at the gods.
Someone who is all thumbs?
Maybe they like other Richter´s version
Lang lang fans?
He makes those fiendish pieces sound so easy.
Bravo !!!!!!!
Very special !!
He looked healthy and well in 1985.. Damn that heart disease ☹️
He lived past 80. Born in the Tsarist empire and outlasted the USSR...
For me He is a great russian
Gracias 😁 por rescatar a Richter dede niña no llegaban grabaciones . 🤣🇮🇷😘
the paintings of Liszt playing to an audience in a drawing room setting comes to mind from 2..00
Interesting selections for a schumann recital between blumenstuck and the tocatta.
No "Kinderszenen"? I was hoping for the final piece, "Der Richter Spricht" LOL. Wonderful performance!
... magnificent!
Перелистывает Антонова. Потрясающе!
The interpreter in highest meaning.
Quedan casa así en Mérida 😁 México. 🇮🇷🥉🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

FANTAASTIC RICHTER .....FOREVER
Eine Frage: Sind die [Bilder aus Osten] enthalten in den 6 Impromptus,Opus 66 (1848)? Danke im voraus!
The duo work was beautifully managed in this. Was she his pupil I wonder? Cathy
He never had pupils
i like how the page turner at 46:50 is in tune with Richter lol, im guessing he's a pupil?
44:38 this a very nice toccata, a little boring, but very solid.
(was this the purpose of Schumann ?)
What are these pieces? Not fimiliar
MER-VEIL-LEUX !
It's not Vladivostok. This is Moscow Pushkin Museum.. This concert is a part of "December Night Fest" - 1985.
Vladivostok is just my nickname, lol.
Рядом Ирина Антонова???
Да, это - она.
❤
Это Антонова, что ли, ему ноты листает?...
Героическая ТОККАТА ! ГЕНИАЛЬНЫЙ АРТИСТИЗМ...с очками!

George Washington arrived on his Mercedes Benz. Speaking of TV and Camera and Human Eye. The rest was your Kidney
The Toccata was a little too much for him methinks.
