- Here is the 5th installment of season 2 of my “History Of” series
In this video I go over the history of the oldest Chuck E. Cheese’s in the state of Kentucky, the location in Florence Kentucky.
This video idea goes back to mid 2021 when I was trying to figure out what Chuck E. Cheese location to do next after Cincinnati. I then decided to continue covering the Kentucky location and chose Florence since it was already pretty close to Cincinnati, not to mention its historical significance.
I just want to thank all the websites and people who helped me complete this movie!

I worked at this Chuck E Cheese location from late 1987 to early 89' as a Birthday hostess. I would occasionally wear the Chuck E Cheese costume and sometimes Jaspar jowls too for the kids. The costumes were very hard to see in and the head just had velcro that you attached to the body. The best part for me though, were the teen nights at Chuck E Cheese's during the mid eighties. I don't think I missed one weekend of it. At the time, Jeff Bernstein was the DJ and we would have lip sync contests. It was incredible. It was the era of Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince! Unfortunately teen night stopped sometime during 1988 for whatever reason. I would give anything to have taken pictures back then but we just didn't walk around with our cameras like people do now. Thanks for this video!
I worked at this location from 1990 to 91 and remember Jeff as the manager. Thanks for the memories.

25:30 Fun fact: this was the Chuck E Cheese that I grew up and it’s located in the north western area of Albuquerque, NM. It’s sad this place got 2.0. :(
I don't think that's it... I worked at the 10501 Coors location ten years ago, and I remember the store having huge glass windows (I only remember because I had to clean them)
I never thought I would hear Chuck sing "What a Wonderful World" it gives me some nostalgia vibes.
Same here. I listened to this song 364 days ago before my trip to Mexico, and it invoked a feeling or two in me. Now, I'm listening to it again the night before my trip to Mexico again, just to get that feeling of having that feeling, if that makes any sense.

This is neat and all, but here’s what I think they should’ve done for the rocker stage with the pull up Chuck e live thing.
What they should’ve done was make a movable track, pulling the Chuck E. Cheese animatronic with the door opening behind him, as he says “ Alright kids, I’ll be right back, and let’s keep partying!” (If that would be a line) instead of a pull up poster, kids could still look behind it and see the animatronic, doesn’t really hide it…
I mean a track would be incredibly expensive.
I'd imagine the track would be a PITA to have maintenance done.

Nothing was more fun than those tunnels in the original stage. The first (ish) iteration was the best!

Used to work here from 2014-2018 when i worked up to be a manager. Me and some of my coworkers would brush the animatronics and talk to them 😭🥺 I am so freaking sad about the remodel it makes me want to cry. Jaspers eyes were always like that, and so was Helen’s head. We tried our best to fix them, and our tech manager was always trying to fix them too. I believe it was trying to get the parts that were the issue but I could be wrong. Everything looks so different from when I was there and It’s beyond depressing. I don’t know if I moved back if I could go back and work there again. I’ll always remember crawling to the back of the stage and seeing what was there and changing the programs in the room on the right side. Ugh 😭😭😭
It’s really sad :(. They were very understaffed prior to the remodel so the tech never got time to work on them. They outworked him

I went to this location when I was younger. They did Jasper an injustice. RIP cyberamics, I would've loved to get my hands on the cyberamic computer systems.
I used to be absolutely terrified of the bots, even the stand-in suit mascot. Nowadays, they're like a long gone old group of friends.
I thought that this was a concept unification location, seems I stand corrected. It's pretty amazing my childhood location has quite the history!
Even though I never been to Chuck E Cheese as a kid, I always enjoy watching your videos. Which may consider to be little odd because I never been to one. I think I love the idea of being educated in the aspect of a place I never been like history behind it and the way you speak in the video almost like you are speaking to me in person. So keep up the great work man!!! 💯👍

As someone living in the area and grown up here, going to the Florence, KY Chuck E Cheese I did not know most of this about that location. I attended as a kid during the rocker stage era (without the king) and it was really cool to learn all this.

Fun fact: my local CEC used to be a showbizz pizza but then remodeled into a Chuck E. Cheese but the stage got a 2 stage instead of a 3 stage and Jasper and Pasqually kept there ptt mask - and munch didn’t I think also Chuck had the cool Chuck outfit used to have like the cool hat but disappeared probably gotten takes away - Sadly got 2.0:( and if your asking what location this is

Oof, that Broadway Helen mask though. It's definitely been through a few things. I think that her wig was probably not replaced correctly, and someone put her eye shadow backwards.... somehow. That's why it looks weird.

Hey nathan spies did you know that there was a chuk e cheese pizza time theatre in surfers paradise in Queensland Australia ( which is my country where I live now) it was called Charlie cheese pizza playhouse . Because in Australia chuck is the word vomit in Australia and the animtronics were chuk e cheese jasper t jowls pasqually munch and the warblets and it also had madam oink the singing pig and doli dimpples the hippopotamus

I don't know why but I cannot stop looking at Old Chuck-E-Cheese restaurant photos without thinking of Five Nights at Freddy's I'm starting to think Scott cawthon actually visited a Chuck-E-Cheese when he was working on the concept for Five Nights at Freddy's and before you ask no I have not seen the movie yet I'm planning on seeing it sometime soon but I have seen enough of it on TH-cam so maybe when I get the chance I will watch the full movie but we'll have to wait and see
