What Camerons Car Reviews has to say: Ever wanted the cushy suspension and comfortable ride like a Cadillac, but want the great resale value and reliability of a Japanese car? Lexus has the answer with the Lexus ES300, this car is for the ones who are retired and want something that will have many luxury features and a comfortable ride. This car is no sports car, however sporty alternatives would be the Infiniti I30 or the Acura TL. Some features do lack on the ES like a navigation system, however the ES offers a vast amount of standard features. All in all great car from Lexus, 2001 will be the last model year for this generation.

Very Reliable car. I used to have one back in 2011. I am thinking of getting one this year. cheap to maintain. easy to use. everyday car. comfortable. loved it.

The body style actually lasted between 1993 (2nd gen) and 2001 with very minimal exterior changes. However they called the 1996-2001 the third gen.

this really is an amazing car. mine is at 160k miles and it's running like a champ. not a single problem at all. the inside is super comfortable, the drive feel is smooth and nice. i really don't have a single complaint about it. I'll easily be able to get it into the 200k range and maybe even the 250k range

My Grandma has a 2001 in the same color but the badge is silver Not Gold. People are always giving her offers to buy it from because it's a nice shape. I've driven the car before. As nice as it is it's just a little too small for me to find a comfortable driving position.

It's not ridiculous actually this car is very reliable and this one that he has is probably the cleanest I've ever seen I would say it's worth 5 to 6000 definitely not 8 but it has all the perks of a brand-new car BTW I've owned over three Lexus ES 300 ranging from 1995 to 2001

I get it... It's a Lexus, but 8k for a 12 year old car? Puh-friggin-lease! In 2013, I'd maybe pay 6k for it, if it was no more than 140k miles on it.
