When I realized that Nigeria has been the richest country in Africa from more than 10 years...I legit cried...
Despite the corruption, despite all the looting...were still so rich....
Yet everyone is suffering, yet 50% of Nigeria is in poverty....yet 60% of all working class youth aren't employed
Imagine if our country was rid of this corrupt, imagine what we would be...

Government comes from people, which is the reflection of collective mindset.
If you want corruption to be disappeared, you can think what you can do to at least firstly influence people around you like your family, your friends, etc.
@@zacharyokaforlee Yeah...no, what you just said is unusually not true, most countries have a political establishment very separate from the people, especially in Nigeria that is basically a pseudo dictatorship, where leaders are and elections don't really matter, plus there is an insane amount of electoral violence and since everyone is poor, the government always takes advantage of that...
The Nigerian government does not come from the people, it comes from the political establishment

As a Chinese who’s been living here for over 2 years, I think Nigeria neither could be called as African giant right now, nor the African China in the future.
When its people have not waken up from the imprinting mindset of colonialism, and have no ideas that they’re speaking the language of their colonizer (or rather master, which is the word I hate the most to hear) and believing their colonizer’s religious belief, they would never have the courage, capability, knowledge, and brain to see things through and implement revolution....
Now, what Nigerians and Nigeria need is to know better about themselves, and implement a Nigerian type of Renaissance afterwards; a world power would come to the world.

Those who still refer to colonial masters are the ones still stuck with colonial mentality....Nigerias problem is self inflicted by incompetent and corrupt people in vital leadership positions...reference to colonialism 60+ years after independence is just a big excuse....yes we speak English...most languages spoken are an evolution of one lagnuage or the other...so Chinese man, spare us, or better still head back to ya country because what you guys are doing here today is exactly what the colonial masters did decades ago. Stealing African resources....
When I see this sort of claims I always feel funny. Singapore became successful is not becoz of its own original dwellers, it’s Chinese.
If you unable to think first before speaking, you’re screwed man. Keep going on the same track, and see your next generation suffer and keep praying to your colonizer’s god.
I don’t like majority of Chinese and the gov, however Chinese people and gov see Nigerians as human beings like themselves but not slaves or belongings; there are some people who accustomed to put themselves into gutter and proud to judge the world with their mindset lol

Please correct your second sentence.
It's wrong on the Naira to US$ exchange rate.
It was the other way round at inception in January, 1973.
US$1 was about 64.7k (₦0.647)
And not ₦1 = 60 Cents (US$0.60)
I did think that was weird, Like when was the Dollar ever on Par with the Pound?

First question I asked my self is did the Naira ever rise?
the video did good but failed to cover a lot. Between Gen. Buhari's regime and Babangida, there was a point where the naira was 4 times more valuable than the dollar. So, yeah, it rose. Oil sold in supplus that year and things were fairly good unitil our sytem of governance turne into that of spending only.
