Woo-hoo! Thanks 4 this! I bought the book long ago thanks 2u & messed up the 1st & only recipe that I made. So I'm reading the book but I'm not done. I desperately want to make the dish soap one but came out too liquidity idk why😅
oh, I don't remember the dish soap one- I'm going to look for that one! - sorry yours didn't turn out! Let me see about making a video on the dish soap one and we can figure out what happened! - some formulas need thickened and some don't - I found the 30 min ones usually do not but the longer process ones usually do.
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Oh no is ok plus last night you encouraged me to try again & I think I made it! Hey Tammy, thanks for the coupon code. I'm not sure if I'm ready for this yet, but I think I'm going to get the ebook, so that when I'm ready I'll have it.
Hi Michelle💖, I was very intimidated by liquid soaps, and actually through out several batches in my early days. I don't know if it was the ebook or just experience but I really don't sweat it when things don't go my way anymore - it's all fixable. When you are ready I will be here to help you with any questions (although I don't feel I am in any way an expert) - I have emailed the writers of the book for help and they have always responded - that is a plus!
Hi Nona, technically no you do not need a preservative, but if selling it is recommended. The pH in liquid soap is pretty high so the chance of growth is low. But some people will add water to their soaps to make it last longer and adding a preservative will help that, at least a little LOL
Doooodddd, I wanna make liquid soap just to play with the squishy! I only got my 1st batch of facial cream done this week. Not very productive of me I admit but I pinched a nerve at work and I can barely stand for longer than 15 minutes. It's brutal! And the odd thing is it hurts way down into the inside of my knee. 😳 Who knew that was possible? So I'm waiting to see the Chiropractor on Monday. 😬 Now I know some don't believe in chiropractors but he really helps me and he's really good looking so yeah, Heal me Doctor! 😏 I have a few questions about liquid soap, can you color it with mica's or dye's, and why did you check the ph balance on liquid soap and we don't do that to cold process soap? Thank you for another great video! It made my day seeing your smiling face! 💛💛💛💛
Oh I hope you feel better soon! That is weird that your knee hurts, but the spine does weird things. I hurt my lower back once and to turn my head was excruciating🤷♀️ - I think chiropractors (especially cute ones 🤣) are good doctors - you go and get that cutie to fix you LOL You can use dye's (not really mica) to color. I have a green one, but mostly don't color them. I check the ph because there is very little superfat in liquid soap and it will tell you if it is lye heavy or not. Anything over 10-10.5 I would have to fix. I haven't had to do that yet though. Have a good week and feel better!! 🥰
I have been debating on purchasing the ebook but now I think I'm gonna juat have to take the plunge. I keep getting asked by my kids for liquid soap for the bathroom instead of a mini bar. Thank you for sharing💕💕

Hi Ashley - My thoughts here 🤗I don't think technically you need a preservative. Much like cold process soap - the pH on liquid soap is high - 9-10 usually. That high of a pH is why people say you do not need a preservative. Also, it is hard to find a preservative that will work in such a high pH environment. When I started I did not add a preservative. But when I really started to sell I did add. This was maybe an added step and expense, but I just felt that I should do what I could to ward off the nasties. I never had an issue with my soaps when I didn't preserve them and if I was making for myself only I would not. But selling - yes I do. Hope that helps some! Good luck this weekend!
I am new to liquid soap making and have a question, can these recipes be used in the foaming pump bottles? Do you need to do anything different than what you showed on here for these types of foaming pump bottles? thanks
Hi Lianne, no need for anything different - if the soap is thin after adding a fo then all the better for a foam dispenser, if the soap is to thick just add more water (make your soap concentration lower - I think I used a 65 water to 35 soap paste in this recipe, you could make the same recipe and use a 80 or 85 water to 20 or 15 % soap.) You will just need to make sure you are preserving the final product appropriately for however much water you use! -- good luck!!😀
