Why is the 959 only available in 65"? And why only with this big stand? I was hoping for a 939 as a successor to the 937 with the B&W soundbar but it seems this is not happing.
I'm curious if we'll ever see a sort of "barebones" TV on the market, no speakers or fancy "features", just a damn good panel and a few ports, a product meant for people who will buy a TV solely for a home theater room and already have a good sound system and a media player. But I guess the product would be too niche and would not justify the extra tooling and assembly process.
@@DeLawrence97 I think Pioneer did this on one of their plasma TV’s years ago? At the end of the day most people that can afford a flagship tv normally have a decent sound system already. Having said that I own a Sony A95L and the built in sound is very impressive and more than suitable for casual viewing and I like how Sonys speakers don’t add any extra bulk to the panel like this one with a sound bar attached to the bottom or even worse like Panasonic with their really thick panels.
Philips is a definite no-go for me after I've had my 707/12. It's a low mid-tier brand at best in my opinion. You can't even calibrate your game mode, you are stuck with x2 expert modes, and one hdr calman. In addition, it has issues with its eARC which beaks audio with crackling sounds, a problem which to this day they haven't been able to fix. Just grab an LG, Samsung or Sony instead.
no one will explain this, namely show what is under the hood. This is their secret. BUT! You can see what's inside the TV using... service manuals. If we talk about “what is P5 DUAL”, then everything is simple: there are 2 chips. The first is SOC. It is also Mediatek Pentonik 1000. The second one is with a processor. In previous TVs like oled937 it was a chip from Novatek. I think oled959 will have a newer version of it. They are both connected and each do their own work using P5 algorithms. The result: a very powerful image processing system.
Перевод текста с помощью камеры This responsible person does not understand what he is doing! I have been a Philips owner for 7 years! During this time I had three TVs, two of the last ones were OLED! I chose the last two TVs precisely because of the android TV (Google TV) 4-sided ambilight, and good sound! and all this was at an affordable price compared to competitors! Now, the development of Philips products is completely incomprehensible to me! Many models have become cheaper! four-sided Ambi only the most expensive version! (900 serr.) Google TV is also not everywhere, only from 8 serries! They removed the good sound in the 700 series OLED! All this is a reason not to buy Philips again for me! And customers who have never tried Philips are unlikely to choose Philips!😢
why ambilight 3 sides? why? 4 sides ambilight was perfect
Not really
@@user-ds8uo9nd7m argument me why is better 3 sides than 4?
Why ambilight at all….i personally hate it.
@@dickieburgeri would never buy a tv witbout ambilight lol
Really. Football looks ridiculous in 3 sided ambilight, big swathe of green at the bottom nothing lit up 🤦 Turn it off altogether.

In Greece still waiting for 908...
Will we see these before October!?
The price of the new Philips TV'S will jump into the sky.
3:20 it has the same magenta tint as QD-OLED even though it's MLA W-OLED?
Same as the Panasonic I believe
Bring to the USA 😊
The soundbars ruin it. I just want a sleek 4 sided ambilight tv.
Vai vir quando,para o Brasil
I want one with the best speakers cause all tv’s got very poor sound when they go on the wall
All TVs sound terrible even if you strap them to your ears
You need proper surround sound system ;)
@@schwartzy65 i have in my bedroom 5.1✌️
too much bugs and problems on the xx8 models.. 👎🏻 especially with the ambilight.
Yup
philips has crap chinese software
What I really don’t understand is, all this upgrades, but only a internet chip 10/100. Can you tell Danny that this is ridiculous!
Nice MLA Oled TVs. However, I am not interested in the fancy speakers. I am sure they will find buyers. Just not me :)

Philips is the only brand tv i will evrr buy
OLED 707 can be calibrated in game mode. Read the instructions)))
I don't have any problems my Philips OLED. More problems older Sony and LG tv:s.
Nobody explaining the dual chip configuration.... means... it probably aint dual chip at all... marketing bs at it's finest
