Not saying it’s the best TV, but but I cannot understand why no one even reviews it…..will probably be the same for this years MZ2000.
Great video, just wanted to say that burn-in prevention features like pixel shift and pixel refresher are also on way older oled models and many of which have burn in. So while newer oleds are more resistant “maybe” those features are not exclusive to them and probably won’t make such a difference. My B7 still goes strong even after 5 years of gaming :)
Just got a second hand fullHD Panasonic Plasma for 30€, and it blows anything out of the water when it comes to price/performance. OLED like colours, magnificent uniformity and brightness, deep blacks, excellent viewing angles, 1:1 pixel perfect Blu Ray playback, 3x SCART RGB, composite, 4x HDMI, so perfect for a bunch of retro consoles. Best of all, no stinking smart OS that ruins the experience.
@stopthehomo8811Really bro...old junk.....for a $1000, that's still premium and junk don't command that asking price. LG CS is a great oled, i get that it still uses wbc instead wbe panels "Evo" but it uses the alpha 9 gen 5 processing of the C2...not junk by any means...you might say premium on a budget😂😂...

Great buying guide video! I have Sony A90J which I love! Thinking about the LG G3 because I love the LG 3D look and brightness. I would like to see the Sony A95L and see if it’s a noticeable difference from my a90j.
I have an LG C1 48" as my monitor it's great. For my living room TV I have a 65" Samsung KS8000. I thought about upgrading my living room TV but won't since I game on the OLED. For a 2016 TV it looks great and with the settings I got it looks pretty good though not as good as my OLED. I use a 1080p Sony KDL-55W900A in my bedroom that I bought in 2012 it works great and I occasionally watch 3D movies on it. I don't have the latest and greatest but they all have their purpose.
I work with tvs and those Samsungs and early LEDs are rubbish. The 8000 series from Samsung drive me crazy because so many people want them but ultimately they break, the picture quality sucks. The only good thing about them is that they're cheap and thin. Legit buy a cheap Hisense mini led and it will destroy most tvs in their respective price brackets.
@@16xthedetail76 I really liked mine Samsung. I use settings from AVS forums and it looks very good to me. Honestly not very interested in a Hisense, but ofc that's personal preference. I would go for an OLED if I decided to upgrade my Samsung, I love the contrast and colors on OLED

Samsung QN800B 8k On Connect Set Up - is amazing ! (picked up as a Grade A - Damaged box)! WOW Only Samsung for me for the past few years! However still have love for my Pioneer 50" Kuro - still a beast from 10yrs+ ago
I disagree with the part that picture quality doesn’t matter, and that size is all that matters. Black Levels, HDR (especially with OLED) do elevate your viewing experience significantly.
I myself unless something fails will always purchase any new TV’s between late October and early April and last year I bought two. Last October I picked up a 65” Samsung QN90B which has been a phenomenal set and one I use every day but I couldn’t quite get the OLED out of my mind and two months later(Dec 21 to be exact) I went in and purchased a 77” LG G2(my first OLED) and also bought the Denon X4800H AVR. I had to wait until end of January for the Denon to release so I had them both delivered and installed at the same time(Feb 13) and I moved the QN90B to my upstairs living room and have been rocking it all ever since. It’s been great and don’t anticipate needing to upgrade again anytime soon especially with the extended 5 year panel warranty on the G2. That being said if I were looking this fall instead of last fall I’d have absolutely no problem getting the TCL QM8 and I’d most likely get the 98”. The tv is just phenomenal this year and TCL really knocked it out of the park.
@@FactNight the quality is extremely close with them all and I’d most likely go with the Samsung but you wouldn’t be disappointed either way and the blooming you would see on the mini-led Samsungs wouldn’t bother me. Now it was A95L that might be a different story
Hey Tech Chap, can you please check out some of the latest Panasonic sets, because nobody seems to mention them because they don't sell them in US? But they talk about the TCL and Hisense, which are nowhere near as good as Panasonic. I'd go as far as saying that the latest Pana sets are better than Samsung S95C.
I’m in the Netherlands and the LG G3 is on sale now. I’m moving out of my parents house probably summer 2024. Should I buy now or wait until then ? I’m afraid the G3 will be out of stock by that time…
Do you think sony a95l will be cheaper at the end of the year? It says it releases 20th september in sweden. $7000+ seems way too much for 77" since A95K started at about $4500+ for the 65 inch.
i have been watchtvd youtube for 3 days now, im looking for new tv , im not very teckie , what do you think of sky glass , it does solve alot of things in one unit , ant advice will be helpful .
Great video - fwiw, I'll add my 2 cents regarding size. The human eye has a very narrow focal area of around 20 degrees and watching the full screen within as much of the focal area as possible is a completely different experience than watching 50% of the movie in focal vision and the rest in peripheral vision. Essentially, you choose 100% of the image vs 50% of the image in focus. Sony is now offering the ability to reduce your TV size through the settings so you have the option to go from a 65 inch to a 60 or 55 inch (or any size you choose) which is an interesting twist to the mix allowing for different FOVs based on content. E.g. if you're watching sports like tennis or soccer, it's easier to see the whole field in a smaller TV or to follow the tennis ball without your eyes darting back and forth from one side of the TV to the other. If you're watching a TV show, you may opt for the full size or a slightly reduced size. With a movie, you can choose the whole screen for a more cinematic experience. Also size affects brightness and in this age of 2,000 nit TVs, a 65 inch isn't just 40% large but it's also 40% brighter at the same brightness level as a 55 inch (40% more light bulbs emanating the same brightness). So those 2,000 nits on a 65 inch will be the equivalent of 2,800 nits on a 55 inch from your eye's perspective. A 77 inch TV is going to be 4,000 nits and so on and so forth. You will tone down brightness massively as you increase size to reduce eye strain and bias lighting is a must for larger TVs and probably should come with it like the Philips. Finally, wall mounting reduces the TV's size by 7-10 inches which means you can save money by placing it on a cabinet (one foot away from the wall).
I just can't decide: a bit bigger size vs a bit higher quality, a higher model from last year vs a lower class but current year 55A80K or (65X90K or 65X85L)
I would like to buy a 55 inch. Please help me to choose the best brand and other things. I’m not technically gifted. Your help is appreciated. I’m in 🇬🇧 UK.
Actually, maybe you can help me. I have a 2013 Samsung LED 55" (UA55F7100) but yesterday I accidentally looked at TV's when buying a new fridge. I was blown away by the quality of the new OLED from all the companies, especially the Samsung and LG. Can I ask is the a massive difference in these 2 technologies when it comes to streaming on Prime and Netflix? I know those store demo modes make them look outrageously good, I would prefer to take my tv in and set it up side by side with a usb stick and a movie I am familiar with to try and recognise any difference. I am a little perplexed as there was an opened box deal on just 1 Samsung 77" S95C for only $2500AUD which is roughly 1285 pounds but I am worried it's over kill as I only use the TV for movies, I don't have it connected to an antenna. Any advice would be truly appreciated as that TV could sell at any moment.
I am moving soon to a new apartment, got an m1 macbook, i want a tv for gaming and editing and movies and also want deep blacks and bright one since the windowto go outside on the balcony will be next to the tv. Will the oled lg or samsung be ok for my case? Also the viewing distance of mine is around 2,5 to 3 meters, how many inches u recommend especially for combing both couch sitting for games and movies but also for pc setting and editing, i have heard after 42 “ the eye strain is crazy
Thinking about getting a 77" G3. The studs on my wall don't line up with exactly where I was the tv though, and with that included mount it doesn't allow for any side to side adjustment. It looks like in this video you just used drywall screws and anchors for the G3. Do you think that is sufficient for a 77"?
Hi, I want to buy a reasonably priced new technology tv that I can connect my DVD/VHS video player and old camcorder to. The objective is to upload old but newly edited videos to TH-cam. Can you please recommend 2 or 3 options?
I don't believe you need to upgrade your sound system as often as you would your TV, which logically should be all that frequent. Once every 10 years? If it ain't broke. So most should already have a speaker system. Don't do it if you don't have to. New TV for your new console vs. new TV to watch sports or movies. Not really worth it imo
Hi I’m looking for a 65 or 77 inch OLED tv for my front room for under £1500 I have an Xbox S and my wife and kids like watching movies can you suggest a couple of models I should take a look at I’m happy buying a 2021 tv or newer Cheers really enjoyed your vid 🤙🏼

I need some advice. I have a 3-year-old Sony Bravia, XR65X90H, and I would like to upgrade to a larger sized Sony Bravia, either 75” or 85”. Several months ago, I read that the 2024 Bravias will have several new features, one of which was a significant improvement over the current ‘L’ model. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what it was or where I read it. Bottom line: would you recommend that I buy the current model but with a larger screen (Sony XR75X90L or XR85X90L), or should I wait for the 2024 models? Thanks.
I will be buying a tv for my room im 8 foot away from tv eye level and 7 foot from tv to my sofa wil be used for gaming only what size to get l suffer with eye strain and high astigmatism in my glasses top
Thank you for this video Tom, I'm currently in the market for a new TV, I'm coming from a regular HD TV. Quick question, will 55 inch feel somewhat immersive from a 6 foot viewing distance? Or should I save for a 65 inch?
Stay away from the 8k TVs. Not worth it. Sony oled and q90 are both excellent TVs. If you have a lot of natural light I'd do the samsung. If you watch primary in the evenings or a darker room oled.
You only buy TV's during Black Friday, Before Xmas and Boxing day. Been following the patterns of Samsung price drops since 2011 and you always get bargains then
I still like my apple tv since it optimizes settings for the tv/monitor I use it with. also higher quality when using some streaming apps than on windows/desktop
Tom's dad : It doesn't make the TV shows you watch any better Premium TV owner : Sure dad, but the wrong TV can definitely make them look worse Case in point, Game of Throne Season 8 Episode 3… this was shot with particularly low brightness where the vast majority of TVs struggled (and still struggle) to present it such that you're not spending half the episode or more trying to make things out. There aren't a lot of TV out there that can make this type of thing easy to watch in the daytime let alone needing to black out your entire living room to see it. The trick is knowing how something can look, and in what conditions - like a bright living room, and then deciding how much you're prepared to pay for it.
I prefer Samsung's QLED 4K TVs. My personal favorite is the Lifestyle TVs by Samsung, especially The Frame TV. I just hope some day TVs by Samsung come under the Galaxy name tag.
Is it me or is the video quality getting better. he's definitely the best and 🎉 a sub from me. Two questions please house tour please. And if i ask for a phone giveaway will i get one 😂😂😂

Thanks for making this video.
This was very informative and helped me alot.
What about Sony A-95L TV ?
I don't believe you need to upgrade your sound system as often as you would your TV, which logically should be all that frequent. Once every 10 years? If it ain't broke. So most should already have a speaker system. Don't do it if you don't have to. New TV for your new console vs. new TV to watch sports or movies. Not really worth it imo
Hi I’m looking for a 65 or 77 inch OLED tv for my front room for under £1500 I have an Xbox S and my wife and kids like watching movies can you suggest a couple of models I should take a look at I’m happy buying a 2021 tv or newer
Cheers really enjoyed your vid 🤙🏼
I’m new to lg oled tv I’m been keeping an eye on the c3 I looked at the g3 but it was too expensive for someone that’s new to lg oled would the lg c3 would be perfect for it
If you are looking at the C3 better get the C2. Probally way cheaper cause 1 year older and is like 99% the same.
This was such a solid guide! Thank you sir
I just bought a TCL C641k but I've been trying to figure out if it has local dimming zones but I am more than happy with it
Why have you got RGB Fans in a Fractal Design North 😭😭😭😭
Because i'm a philistine 😆
@@Thetechchaplmaoo this is why I like this channel you keep it fresh even with the jokes
Haha, love it.@@Thetechchap
Only buy a soundbar if you don't care about sound quality.
Otherwise, buy literally anything else.
anti reflective coating got me liking the video
I need some advice. I have a 3-year-old Sony Bravia, XR65X90H, and I would like to upgrade to a larger sized Sony Bravia, either 75” or 85”.
Several months ago, I read that the 2024 Bravias will have several new features, one of which was a significant improvement over the current ‘L’ model. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what it was or where I read it.
Bottom line: would you recommend that I buy the current model but with a larger screen (Sony XR75X90L or XR85X90L), or should I wait for the 2024 models?
Thanks.
X95L
I will be buying a tv for my room im 8 foot away from tv eye level and 7 foot from tv to my sofa wil be used for gaming only what size to get l suffer with eye strain and high astigmatism in my glasses top
Thank you for this video Tom, I'm currently in the market for a new TV, I'm coming from a regular HD TV. Quick question, will 55 inch feel somewhat immersive from a 6 foot viewing distance? Or should I save for a 65 inch?
I have a TCl qled and its been great for the past 1.5 years I hope TCL or Hisense release an oled to take on LG and sony more expensive models one day
My Sony 55X9000F display conked off. Which tv should I buy. Don't want to spend that much for 55x90L.
Could you please review the tab s9 lineup and check performance and battery life please 🙏
Could you please review the Sony X95L please 🙏
Between the Sony A80L OLED and the Samsung 4K/8K models, like the Qn90b or Q800c, which one is superior?
Stay away from the 8k TVs. Not worth it. Sony oled and q90 are both excellent TVs. If you have a lot of natural light I'd do the samsung. If you watch primary in the evenings or a darker room oled.
Very good review
Thanks! Excellent clear video 🙂
You only buy TV's during Black Friday, Before Xmas and Boxing day. Been following the patterns of Samsung price drops since 2011 and you always get bargains then
Thank you for the great guide!!!
tlc n hisense ftw
perfer the hisense for features for gameing and pc monitor
I still like my apple tv since it optimizes settings for the tv/monitor I use it with. also higher quality when using some streaming apps than on windows/desktop
Is qned 80 from lg good for gamming in ps5 and watching content ?
What should be the minimum viewing distance for 65 and 75-inch TVs?
I think it's like 1.5 to 2.5 times the horizontal screen size.
Great video!
Tom's dad : It doesn't make the TV shows you watch any better
Premium TV owner : Sure dad, but the wrong TV can definitely make them look worse
Case in point, Game of Throne Season 8 Episode 3… this was shot with particularly low brightness where the vast majority of TVs struggled (and still struggle) to present it such that you're not spending half the episode or more trying to make things out. There aren't a lot of TV out there that can make this type of thing easy to watch in the daytime let alone needing to black out your entire living room to see it. The trick is knowing how something can look, and in what conditions - like a bright living room, and then deciding how much you're prepared to pay for it.
Good point!
My tv was pitch black the whole time 😂 But then I have an 5 year old entry level LG tv haha
Do a review on the legion slim 7i plz
Hey there how can I get it this TV
I prefer Samsung's QLED 4K TVs. My personal favorite is the Lifestyle TVs by Samsung, especially The Frame TV. I just hope some day TVs by Samsung come under the Galaxy name tag.
I just got the new TCL QM8 (75") and its dazzling! Its Mini LED *and* QLED, with Dolby Vision support.
Blows my 2018 TCL 6-Series out of the water
TCL 50C641K 50-inch QLED anygood?
Thanks for this video.
Is it me or is the video quality getting better. he's definitely the best and 🎉 a sub from me.
