- I bought Rob Cosman's joinery crosscut saw and his medium tenon saw so I thought I would show them to you as well as let you witness my first ever cuts with them. I have never owned or used any crosscut or tenon saws in my life so this will be a fun journey!

Rob Cosman taught me how to properly sharpen hand plane blades and chisels. I also learned how to properly tune hand planes, which made them a pleasure to use. His tools (saws, chisels, marking gauges, etc.,) are all top notch and worth every penny. I have tried several different dovetail saws, and none match the Cosman saw.
I owe my ability to hand cut good-looking dovetails to Rob Cosman.
I couldn’t agree more. My hand to avoid working. He’s completely evolved in the last few years because of Rob Cosman.
I know a guy who can cut perfect tails with a hacksaw with 24tpi blade. Its not the tool, its the person using it!
Very true. Although I wasn’t trying very hard, I certainly need some practice. I’ve never used these types of saws before.
Are the brass backs all the same size?
No. They are all ¼” thick but the widths are a little different. The dovetail saw and the joinery cross cut saw are both ⅞” wide and the medium tendon saw is a little bit wider at 15/16”
