    I've heard they fill up with water in the rain! Personally, I'd rather still use the pannier mount but adapt it to fit hard case panniers

    That heat from the engine is manageable for city ride?? as i have a bit of city ride aswell and my major concern is the heat from that massive engine.

    Hi Paul, where did you buy your adaptable luggage rack ? it look nice and seems to be larger than the original. I am trying to find one for my new GT .By the way, thank you for this video on the panier installation. Very useful. Best regards

      Hi, I made the rack as could not find anything I liked. It's made from a sheet of 6mm aluminium and 2 lenths of square section bar that fits into the rear seat back rest. Needs a bit of milling and welding but nothing too extensive.

    Very helpful video. After installing, I notice that only the right saddle bag seems to wobble compared to the left one. I see that the right pannier rail arm is showing more lateral movement. I will appreciate any suggestions to fix my problem. Thanks

      Never had any problem with my installation and panniers are relatively firm on both sides. Worth checking to see if the wobbly side is just a poorly manufactured bracket, measure up the lateral movement and send Triumph an email asking if it is within acceptable tolerance.

    Does key assembly come with bike or panniers

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you get the bike new, it comes with 3 spare key barrels, they are in the locker behind the rear seat.

    Another owner reported that the bike is power limited through the ECU even in sport mode. Are you aware of that?

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the Yamaha Vmax 1700 before the Rocket and it was a more powerful bike although a much more snatchy ride due to its faster throttle response. I find the Rocket to be much more measured ride whatever mode its in with a smooth throttle response so it does not feel scary until you look at the speedo. I suspect the engine has got a lot more power in it, just needs a remap of the ECU combined with a power exhaust.

    What’s underneath that backrest if you take it off? Is it removable ?

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've not taken it off so don't know, assume it is removeable as its an optional extra on the 3R

    Whats stopping anyone opening them in the same way pushing in the pin.

    • @superdacoolman
      @superdacoolman ปีที่แล้ว

      Need to open the lock before you can reset it.

  • @Dutchlincoln
    @Dutchlincoln 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great!. So, actually anyone with a small pin on them can reset the code and open them?

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The panniers have to be opened before you can change the access code number. just like all key pads

    Are they large enough for a helmet?

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No helmet will not fit in the panniers, i still use a laptop cable lock for my helmet.

  • @jserenity

    Is the pannier water proof?

    • @wapsac
      @wapsac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are probably shower proof, but you can buy separate waterproof inner bags.

  • @jimanders9971
    @jimanders9971 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is sickening to me that these expensive panniers are not waterproof and they are so tiny. The new Rockets are awesome but these panniers are crap. Triumph should be ashamed of putting something like these out there.
