Something else that counts as oversharing is uploading videos of your child's meltdowns. This happens so very often and the children do not get a say so in what their parents share of them. This is pretty much the equivalent of a child uploading a video of their parent(s) in a drunken stupor while slurring in their speech, saying things they know they will regret, craping in things that are not toilets, and having disheveled appearance. I understand if you film the meltdowns to show to a doctor, evaluator, and/or a teacher in a private setting so they can better understand the child, but when it's shown in public so the parent can earn sympathy and/or fame, that's where I draw the line. Autism Mom™ groups (or at least that community in general) are full of this.

Oooh I got one! When I was in highschool, a girl in my year level (Who I'm fairly certain had hystrionic personality disorder) once made a total shitshow both in the schoolyard and on facebook. I heard about this after the fact as I didn't have facebook, and still don't. People like her are why. What happened? She claimed she was bitten by a spider on her Hoo-haa, complained about how swollen it was, and then offered to share photos to everyone. I should also mention that we were all legally minors at the time and she was basically offering to distribute child porn of herself. Last I heard of her, I heard she failed her childcare course and had become a stripper. I feel as though the childcare industry just dodged a massive, screaming bullet.
She was also a frightful gossip, and would pick fights, get into relationships with guys in their 20's, fail coursework and do all this so she could post videos of herself having a mental breakdown and then bring up totally unrelated tragedies from her life to cry about. I swear she was like Nicocado Avocado in terms of her general insanity. Oh, and she also outed me in a very Christian school environment. That was fun to deal with (sarcasm).

My cousin’s girlfriend posted a status update saying, “Off to have my implant changed.” She later uploaded photos of the (admittedly impressive) bruise on her arm.
The same cousin’s sister posted photos of her daughter from the front and back covered in chicken pox. The six years old and only wearing a pair of knickers. She also shared a photo of one of her boys in a hospital bed when he was admitted.
My sister in law needed a Caesarian after being diagnosed with pre- eclampsia when she had her first baby, then needed one again for different reasons (don’t know why) when she had her second. Both times she took photos of herself and husband scrubbed and ready for theatre the posted them online before the procedure.

About a year or two before my Grandpa passed, my older cousin took a selfie with him, when he clearly “wasn’t present” for the picture. He was staring off, mouth slacked open. It rubbed me so wrong that she posted them as part of her “trip to see my Grandparents!” post, that I opened up to my Mom and Uncle about it, who agreed it was in poor taste. Decided to confront her about said pictures being posted, and she deleted and blocked me off social. Definitely better that way. I get she lives out of state, and didn’t grow up with them like I did, and wants to feel like she has a genuine relationship with them- but that doesn’t mean you have to post the picture. Sentimental words would have soothed that itch.

If I had to name someone, it would be any mom who shares a ton about birth and pregnancy and raising a baby.
Like, taking a photo of your newborn or posting ONE ultrasound photo is normal. What ISN’T normal is posting pictures of the placenta (or if you’ve had a “lotus birth”, posting updates on how it’s drying up), sharing a new ultrasound photo EVERY SINGLE TIME you get one done, telling everyone your birth story in extremely graphic detail or posting pictures of your “art” created from the placenta or breast milk or other various bodily stuff (meconium, foreskin, baby poop, lochia, etc.)
Additionally, documenting every aspect of your baby’s life from literally day one and continuing to do so until they’re well into their teens should not be acceptable; aside from the usual weird mommy stuff, it’s a gross violation of privacy, and that stuff of your kid will be on the Internet forever, where anyone and everyone can see it.
So by all means, please please PLEASE just cut the crap with the whole Mommy Blogging thing! Nobody wants to hear about it, and it’ll only embarrass you and your children in the future. Please, just stop.

This girl i know post literally every single thing she goes through ...I thought it couldn't get any worse than her posting about her UTI. She often goes on live and rants. She's ranting as always once day...All of a sudden...You see a wipe full of poop...Her caregiver was changing her live. This girl is in her late 20s and is absolutely aware of everything around her and she was totally okay with going live in such a personal moment. Why though?!🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I got a DM once from some 24 Yr old guy from the Philippines. We were in the sane fandom group and he friended me. Sure, I like to friend people I enjoy similar media with. Well, within 20 mins he'd messaged me about what bands/movies I liked, basic casual conversation stuff. Then he asked if I was single. I was a bit weirded out at this point but I said yes. His response. "Okay, that's cool. I'm single, you're single. Maybe we can...?" Okay. For one thing, I'm not into long distance relationships. Or relationships in general. I'm a shy nerd who's never dated and I'm not technically straight. I tried to put him down gently. For one thing, I'm in my early 30s and I'm not a cougar, and he lives in a completely different part of the world. It wouldn't work out even if I was interested in spontaneously dating an Internet stranger after 10 mins of texting about our favourite anime. Istg wtf.

I follow a guy I had a crush on in high school on Facebook. Dodged a bullet there. He has a girlfriend who he has 2 kids with. One day he will be posting stuff like, “I love my baby girl. The mother of my children”. Next day; “So glad I got out of that relationship with that psycho woman. I’m free now. She’s absolute trash”. A week later he’s posting smiling photos with her & once again talking about how she’s the light of his life. The toxicity 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Ugh. My sister.
Always posting photos of her & her common law husband.
Always posting photos of her mother's (different mom's)cancer treatments.
Always cussing, using questionable language in "mixed" company.
Always sharing funny memes that aren't actually funny.
I ignore, I unfollowed, but then I feel like a jerk.

This one girl I knows boyfriend was recently in the hospital for a pretty good head injury, the entire time she was posting about how she feels hopeless and she doesn’t know what she should do, then the next minute would post asking people (very rudely) to stop messaging her about him, then would post about how the hospital staff were dumb for telling her to pull up her mask above her nose, I nEeD tO BrEAtHe. Then also posted a video of him hooked up to tubes and unconscious with no caption or words or anything, just him hooked up to tubes looking sickly and gross. Bruh

One I saw a video joking about cousin marriage. I decided to go look in the comments and one of them said "My mom and step dad found out they were cousins but it's okay because they didn't know." I replied with "wHaT-" then she all of a sudden replied back with "Yeah, and my step dad cheated on my mom with my grandma." I really didn't near to know any of that but you know, here I am.

In high school I watched a girl at my school go through 5 relationships in about 6 months just from Instagram alone since she cheated on every single one. One time she posted the typical "I love you" post on Instagram and then the other person posted on Snapchat that she cheated on him, then I never saw him again. A few years later she made a racist post on FB (this was in 2020 during the George Floyd protests) and a bunch of people got mad and her and her family started sending threats and I ended up in a group chat spammed with hundreds of messages. I just blocked the girl. Wild stuff

In January of 2018 my dad took his own life. My mawmaw(his mom) has always been self centered and basically made the entire thing about herself. Wouldnt even tell me personally so had to tell my mom who then told me. But shortly after he passed away she posted about it on Facebook and had i opened my facebook when she did it, id have found out that my dad was dead through a fuckin post. My aunt and grandpa and a few other got pissed off and freaked out on her about it so she deleted it and then called me at 5AM to tell me he was dead.

I know a girl who's father was an absolutely s*it to their family. I feel bad for her, but when she posts something about how terrible he is, and goes into full, specific detail, I just cringe.
She posted screenshots of his messages to her, him trying to contact her with a caption along the lines of, 'Oh so now you want to be nice. F*ck off, Dad.'
On Fathers Day she wrote a really nice message about her step-father and how loving he is. I remember thinking, 'That's really sweet,' clicking onto the next post, 'Oh there's more!' and seeing that is was actually, in fact, a hate post about her biological father that was about triple the size of the previous post.
I understand that she went through something I can't empathise with, but it's almost like she uses it for story views.

I was in a community choir a few years ago and the director was 40 years old and single, which is not a bad thing in itself, but he made it pretty clear on his Facebook profile that he'd wanted to get married and be a parent, which is harder to do at 40. He was a handsome man, especially for his age, generally a nice person, and a very talented musician. Were he not 22 years my senior at the time, I would absolutely have dated him if he'd asked. While he was nice in real life, he could be a real jackass on social media sometimes, and often his posts would relate to the struggles of finding love on dating apps and websites. If he behaved that way on dates then he definitely would not be getting second dates all that often, but more likely he'd listed his social media on his dating profiles (which is pretty common), and had I run into someone like him on a dating app, it 100% would have scared me off. It was the most awkward thing to witness. Probably the most harmful social media oversharing I've ever seen, which shows that most of my friends are pretty good about what they put on social media.

Im most confused about that 'in her husbands sink' thing. Do they have two bathrooms that they've designated as his and hers? If thats the case is it so much of a thing that its a big deal to be 'caught' using the other ones bathroom? Thats bizarre. Does their bathroom have _two sinks?_ That would be even more bizarre. And it says its a 'moms group', how can you be married with kids and have designated sinks for a husband and wife? Im so confused. Is this a thing that happens that Im unaware of?

As a cusper millennial I've found that it's people around my age and older than me, up to and including boomers, who like to overshare on social media. And while gen z is way more active on social media than older people, they lean more on entertainment (like memes and making funny tik toks) and post on their stories more than on their feed. I mean, the Kardashians and even the Jenners are millennials, as are most mainstream beauty bloggers and fitness gurus and many influencers. Has anyone else found that to be true?

A friend of a friend from of mine had allegedly been pregnant numerous times, but my friends had told me she was likely faking every time
Well one time she wasn’t faking, and she documented her legitimate pregnancy for a while
Unfortunately, she had miscarried like 4 months early, and the kid didn’t make it. She posted pictures of the miscarried fetus, and it was as haunting as you can imagine. I don’t want to describe it but man, that was something I didn’t ever want to see, let alone see several pictures of it
