Scandinavian women who sound like corn-fed American Midwestern country singers. Amazing.
I love how they always sound exactly like the studio version live.
Pure talent
I wanna say it's something to do with the deliberate Country/Southern brogue they adopt in most of their songs... They're Swedish, and so although being fluent in English, their default accent isn't gonna be that of a mississippi queen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So... that intentional inflection in the delivery is sort of a fixed element they aim to emulate and reproduce each time through, no less precise and deliberate for them than, say, hitting the right notes!? This, in place of just singing the lyrics newly each time in their own natural, conversational voices... (Sort of like in karaoke, when you aren't realy just singing the song-but instead singing the song in the specific voice/style of the original singer?!) I could see this producing a much more consistent performance, given their talent to be able to actually do that, and be so damn spot on each time through... That's the first idea that popped into my head, at least, lol.
This should be the default.
I would love to hear these two cover "Jolene". Their voices would be so cool on that track. I've only seen them live once in person, but they were incredible. Two talented ladies.

Found My Silver Lining at the end of Takes From The Borderlands, no many how many times I play that game the song breaks my heart in the most beautiful way! This band will always be special to me for that.😊
Johanna has the absolute voice of an angel. It complements Klara's excellent lead vocal perfectly. Fantastic band.
They are so young but their music is so deep.
The way that the lap guitar player is looking up and giving everybody a smile at 7:40 is just how I felt right in that moment. Great band, great sound.
What can i say? I liked them so i introduced their music to my partner and she loved it. Then one day we showed this KEXP concert to our 2 years old daughter and guess what ??.... she is now addicted to it and only sleeps after listening these songs. No joke! Every single day for at least the last 8 months. Thanks girls for these beautiful lullabies. 😘

I found First Aid Kit about a month ago and I have bought every album and every song I can find. I listen to their music every day. I am sure at some point I will have to stop and take a break unless they come out with a new album. You ladies have such a rich beautiful sound. I love the vocals and I love the instramentals as well as the lyrics. It's the total package. Listening to your music just makes me want more. I really am glad that you ladies figured out that you had something special and decided to share it with the world.

Just saw a video of these two covering Black Sabbath's War Pigs. Unsurprisingly they killed it.
Love these two girls, they are so good. I stumbled upon their music when they first surfaced in the USA. They were really on target during this set. Kudos to the steel guitar player too, he's great.

The story I heard from an interview with Klara and Johanna was the first time they sang for their parents as a duet they remembered their parents stunned faces and they looks their parents gave each other ...LOL.... that's probably the first professional recognition, I think their father was famous in a rock band Lolita Pop in Sweden. they have some true music genes in the family that would recognize talent when they saw it.

WOW ! When this video first started playing, And the music for " My Silver Lining " started ... I got cold chills, Which is a pretty good indication that the song is gonna touch me is some strange profound way ... I love these ladies ...

Folks, there isn't a more potent, pure, uncut, industrial grade example than this of why it pays to have a robust education system and a broad and effective social safety net. Give it a couple of generations and not only is everyone happier, more productive, and economically solvent, you also have the added benefit of cranking out statuesque, gorgeous people who are wildly talented in a variety of fields. These people are absolutely not fucking around but also seem like the most laid back cats you have ever met. Insane
And also not to mention, what an absolutely top level mix.

Can never give enough credit to a very good group of musicians backing in a band. The styles of the drummer in the steel pedal blend perfectly with these girls.

Once again KEXP introduces me to another great band the brings light into my life. This band is beautiful the lyrics are fulfilling. A new fan of First Aid Kit for sure.
Dang!! I heard about these ladies through a friend and I procrastinated to look them for months...Gosh, was I missing out on some beautiful music! That first tune is magical, it almost paints a picture of times in your life where you're struggling to find a way but you just have to keep on keeping on...needless to say that's been one of my favorite sayings from the Joe Dirt film for quite a few years...You just have to keep on, keeping on!! Hope they comeback to Seattle!!

Absolutely crazy awesome! Like the Everly brothers back in the day, these ladies drift from harmony to sync to octave vocals.The dynamic of doing that adds a new instrument to the band.

You know when you really love a band but you worry if they can do it live. Not with these guys, they nailed it. 🙌
And their accompanying drummer is a tune enhancing percussionist, not “ just a drummer”. He knows when & how to use brushes, and a variety of other drumsticks; very tasteful and supportive. Pedal steel player is wonderful too, filling & flowing where appropriate and never overwhelming a song or the vocals. Everything is to love here. 😊

I'm 61 and I can appreciate beauty. These two ladies are very beautiful and extremely talented. What would make it pervish for me to appreciate that fact would be if I started going down a different trail in fantasy world. It is cool to look at them and appreciate them. If older women look at young men and say they are handsome or cute or whatever, the same rules apply to them.
