My only drama is that I’ve got a genuine 120,000km engine that would be a perfect donor to build, but I don’t really wanna have the car off the road while the machining happens and I assemble it. No doubt, I’ll kick off with a million miler with damaged crank and warped head.
That’s awesome to hear mate. Jason is a legend and has a great deal of knowledge. Yeah we know the feeling, fortunately they are pretty easy to come by and cheap engines so to buy a second and build it on the side would be a feasible idea for sure
Doing up my old Ef just got my stage 4 today with springs and the valve spring containers, lifters and vernier cam gear and timing chain all crow cams very excited and have 500cc Bosch injectors and 500cc fuel pump the car will most likely blow up but well worth the $2500 for a hobby car 😂
Hey guys, Im installing the same valve springs, the kit came with new seats which need machining to fit, I noticed that youse didnt do any of that, Im assuming id be right it just send it with the factory seats like you guys have?
How tight were the lash adjusters when you installed the cam? I assumed being a more aggressive profile that gaps would be tighter but I don't have any play at all.
Hey mate just wondering how the stage 4 cams go for a boosted build was going to buy stage 4 but was told its to aggressive for boosted build and better off going stage 3 what would you recomend?

Why bigger injectors? Ur nah?

What injectors/fuel system set up u running with your n/a stage 4 crammed sohc?
I thought the standard injectors are enough, even with the big cam upgrade
does it loose low end torqe? not sure if i should commit to stage 4

To be honest, we never check them, being that they are hydraulic, we just assumed they would adjust accordingly

@@jazzbroughton2016 I was recommended the stage 4 by Jason at Tiperformance.
Though I'm still on a base tune the car is pretty nice to drive.

Yeah Braeden, Nathan has been running it since he turbo’d it originally
@@HackshopGarage how well do they work? i have an XG with a turbo and it runs rich and fouls plugs
Yeah it worked pretty good for the initial tune, Nathan drove it on the J3 chip tune and a quick dyno for almost a year with no issues

What converter are you running for that cam?
At the moment it’s a 2400, but we are potentially looking at upgrading to a 3000 stall

That sounds awesome mate. They are 42 pound injectors from TIperformance.
This does not look like a fun job to do in the car! Luckily i had SPR Perf in QLD install the springs for me when they did my headwork
