I also don't know what people are talking about when they say it has a harsh ride. Stock for stock, it's smoother than my RMAX4 LE. After adjusting high and low speed compression to soften it up she rides like a dream. You'll see that the shifting smoothes out after 1st break-in service on the transmission. I can also confirm that it's quieter than the RMAX.
i haven't even touched the shocks yet because i figured id get them broke in a little bit before adjusting them but i agree with you that it rides nice ! So i guess its not just my opinion that its quieter than the Rmax then ! So far i love it !

great looking machine , Don. Something about the sound of the shifts. even if its just in auto, it makes your car sound like a WRC rally car.

Looks like a sweet ride ! I like the mix of analog and digital display on the front dash. What’s the break in on the yxz? 200 miles?
What size wheels and tires? Tusk terrabites? I iust bought a 2024 yxz xt-r and thought about moving to 30" terrabites but was unsure with gearing and no low range

Thanks , i still have my 19 Yamaha Grizzly and still love riding it aswell ! The sxs's are definitely more comfortable on those long rides and they are just fun to drive !

well on this day it was about +4 celcius but felt colder with the wind .
I can hear a clicking sound when it shifts. Must be normal, its a new machine. What happened to the RMAX?
nothing happened to the Rmax but thought id try something different so i sold it and bought the yxz . That sound is normal

no idea yet because iv only ridden it on this ride on the railbed so nothing to technical

@kdkragt the fact that there is more room for storage on the Rmax is something im going to miss i know that !
I thought it sounded louder then the RMAX but could be the mic ,and the shifting is loud .I cant hear you talk as good either .seems like more wind .noise at times . I did not know they came with a rev limiter I hate that sound , I dont know why its just annoying to me . There is a guy that has a YXZ out west I follow that has a turbo on his and hits that dam limiter all the time ..
it was windy and cold and i had a balaclava on over my mouth so its why the audio wasn't as clear but it is quieter than the Rmax
when I 1st got my RMAX before even the 1st ride I took it apart and put a lot of sound deading insulation in it and even on the inside panels and had vinal covers made for it and it really quite it down , now you hear the muffler and not all the transmission and motor noise so it is good to see yamaha is making them quiter@@DonsATVAdventures
Seems like those folks you passed on the trail were, well...like maybe they hated your machine. Recreation for them is probably bingo and soap operas. Nice machine.
