When you leave the diner, you have to say to the waitress: _'Here's lookin' atchyou, kid.'_ Then pull up your collar as you walk out into the rain.
*cuts to a montage of him walking in the rain to jazz music*
That's why American clothes have huge collars. Even baby onesies.
Eyy baby new yoik
I'm walkin ere
'say you're new here'
'just passing through'
'gie us yer laptop'
Don't mate
As an American, it can be pretty tiresome the way they endlessly freshen up my caffee
yeh why not
This angry rant about Americans with that calming music in the background is fire
Everybody's granny!
Wrong way down a one way Avenue
limmy should do a whole stream in American
I think I would pay for this
Watch his frog detective stream. He speaks like that until he fucks his throat up.
With Glaswegian accent or some USA accent?
The waitress is Marge Simpson
Twin Peaks remake where the only actor is Limmy
Thats exactly how us Americans sound! Hot it on the nail Limmy!
As an American from Houston, New York City, can confirm this is a normal exchange
How are you from two different cities
just give him the oscar.
Ya wanna go get a chilli cheese corndawg down on thirty fifth an main?
You forgot “listen pal, hey buddy, sure, soda”
To limmy, every American is an alcoholic noir detective that frequents his local diner.
American Limmy is my favourite Limmy
"The waitress is not the Joker from The Dark Knight, in case you were wondering."
...Hrm, that's just the kind of thing the Joker would like everybody to believe.
The waitress kinda sounds like professor oak
Sounded like Marge to me
I mean, the man's made a whole sketch about it 10 or 20 years ago, can't claim he wasn't warned
I think he’s been watching better call saul
The diner situation had me in stitches 😂
The US lives in his head rent-free
This impression was ABsolutely EVERything I hoped it would be. Terrible.
I sure thought this was swell.
Gosh darn it. He got us again. Boy howdy. How does he do it?
have a muffit a tea, limmy
Yes, Limmy. The 'Jonnycab' robot driver from Total Recall (1990) was voiced by 'Robert Picardo', who later starred as the EMH 'Doctor' from Star Trek: Voyager.
...As if he's ever going to read this.
Was news to me, thanks.
And 'The Cowboy' from 'Innerspace' (1987)
💚 the Yoda cameo at 2:01.
LOL this is Mike and the Waitress in Better Call Saul
My thoughts exactly
Meowth that's right
Yee haw limmy.. Yall are darn tootin right aboud it
Is there anything worse than when the local McDonald's gets held at gunpoint while you're saying grace with your family?
I can finally understand what Limmy is saying
Say the cheese cake is good today 🤣
The music helps in this one
The waitress is Hoggle from Labyrinth!
Gimme a slice uh apple pie and a cawfee for duh road
Mr LimmyTwitchClipsPlus can you please make a compilation of all of Limmys American stuff I personally would watch it every single day twice a day and give you 50 bucks.
Never mind that, who’s gonna win the World Series? The American Yankees, or the US-Kansas buckflys?
Ooh I love those retro diners in the train cars.
american sound like "riddle widdle diddle wah kwoffee"
"Translate to English"
Limmys amazing but accidental Keanu Reeves impression
He'd Defenestrate someone.
It's funny that for a second there, he couldn't remember the name "total recall"
I'm surprised this waitress doesn't address Joe mysterious as 'hon' 🤔
Npc dialogue
If that's that diner on the sidewalk off the freeway in that strip mall in Villageburg Pennsylfornia, I'm sure I've been there, I recognise the waitress' voice
Johnny Cab!
Who does this guy think he is!
Well said Limmy I wish I was bilingual I'm that fed up of septics online.
I had to "cc" this
He’s finally lost it
Lloyd's furmassy
His names Robert Picardo.
What in the 80s click and point adventure is this.
i like ya style
poor yanks
What game was that?
Here's looking at your kids!
Gonna go on a date drink a half bottle a bucky then take my broad to the diner for jello and ice cream.
Songs name?
Mate I'm just back from royston PHARMACY. Not chemist
Torch yea 😂 not flashlight , diary not journal , chemists not pharmacy... & the freeway asshole store ... 😂
Finally, Limmy is talking normal speak.
Big NPC vibes
And not shop
WTF...Sounds like a Yoker accent from here.
The one Americanism phrase I hear far too much in the UK is “Can I get”..!! Instead of May I have. Does my head in.
can I get uhhhhhhhhhhh
When I was in USA I noticed that Americans rarely say please or thank you to service people. E.g. no thank you after they lay down the meal on the table
Were you in the north-east? I've visited seven states in that region and 90% of them were like that. Truly bizarre but apparently the rest of the US is less rude
@@SongBillong No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don't care. We're from Philly, f'in Philly, no one likes us, we don't care!
@@SongBillong haha yeah we’re assholes
When I was in the Uk I noticed brits rarely brushed their teeth
@@mattsub9659 least salty yank
Idk where all this animosity is coming from. Maybe it goes back to the revolutionary war, but then we didn't beat the Scottish; we beat your British overlords.
The Scots created the United Kingdom
Just the kind of response I'd expect from an American 🤣
@@412752ful they were expecting you to say this. They like to play the 4D chess game and you fell right in the trap 😔😞
If this is bait this is hilarious, if it's not bait it's even more hilarious!
@@412752ful he got a reaction out of you, you've got to give him that
In all seriousness, I still dont understand why Limmy is hostile to foreign influences in language. Like all of us, he's all for immigration and cultures mixing but then maintains this kind of small minded gammon attitude towards language. It's very nationalistic and even slightly fascist.
Almost everything this man says is steeped in a little dark sarcasm. Don’t take it so seriously, don’t be so delicate about light jokes. He isn’t hostile towards foreign influences, he is just being creative with the stereotypes inspired by the Americanisms he sees. He does the same with his own Scottish culture, so calm down and be less quick to judgement.
@@NutjobChuck no, this is a recurrent theme for over a decade now. Sure, he's joking, but the issue is also a serious one for Limmy. He genuinely believes that languages should be preserved and protected, to a degree, from outside influences. Sounds very gammon to me.
No, no no I refuse to believe this is a serious opinion.
@@AdamSmith75th address the point: is it true to say that Limmy believes the English language should be protected from outside influence?
@@F--B protecting language and dialect is important to be fair. For a long time Scottish words, phrases and holdovers from Scots were considered slang and you would lose out on opportunities because of it. We still face mockery for our way of speaking regularly - calling us incomprehensible is still a meme.
I think we are over the worst of that but when I was growing up it was pretty horrible to feel like being and sounding like a Glaswegian was a bad thing.
