You can't compare arjun and karna.
Karna had gone through many tough things in his life. His dedication made him such a great warrior. He was one of the greatest donater in the history. He was a respected warrior. He had struggled alot.
While arjun? He had money, fame, state and a high caste. What else did he need? The only thing that makes him great is that he followed "dharma". His deeds were good.
Meanwhile Karn wasn't also wrong. He didn't leave his friend till his last breath. Draupadi refused to marry him because he was of low caste. He wasn't allowed to read Veda. He wasn't allowed to talk to sages and hermits. His mum left him. He didn't receive what he was supposed to get.
Arjun was great. But things weren't fair. Karn has suffered alot because of something he did never do. Karn's pain and struggle are beyond words.
Life isn't fair for everybody.

विपरित उसके किया समर्पण अधर्म को,
सम्मान कि लालचा ने बांधी पट्टी आंख को,
समझ न पाया दूर्योधन के स्वार्थ को,
समर्पण किया बिना सोचे दास बना अधर्म का
जीवन पूरा द्वेष भाव ने ही हराया है उसको,
कहने मतलब है जब पितामह भीष्म, जिसे इच्छा मृत्यु का वरदान था, वो भी नही हरा पाये तो कर्ण किस खेत की मूली था।
कर्ण जरूर महान था, उसकी दानवीरता, उसकी धनुर्विद्या पर कोई संदेह नही है पर उसे नायक के रूप मे स्वीकार करने वालो ने गीता और महाभारत नही पढी है और पढी है तो समझ नही पाये है।
यह खलनायक को नायक बनाने को ढोंग बंध किजीए। अगर लड़ाई योग्यता की थी तो दुर्योधन (जिसके लिए कर्ण लड रहा था) को सिंहासन योग्यता के आधार पर नही मिल रहा था और न ही दुर्योधनने कर्ण सिवा अन्य सूतो को अधिकार दिलाया था। कर्ण महान तभी कहलाता जब वो सूतो के अधिकारो के लिए लडकर सूत समाज को अधिकार दिलाता। बाबा साहेब आंबेडकर को भी इससे कही ज्यादा पीडा सहनी पड़ी होगी पर उसने समाज के अधिकार के लिए लड़ाई लडी थी इसी लिए वो महान है।
