      Thank you so much! You can definitely master knitting! I also started as a crocheter and I found that knitting "continental" made it easier for me. When knitting this way, you hold and tension your yarn in your left hand in almost the same way that you do when crocheting. This helped remove one hurdle for me and made it just a bit easier. If you haven't looked into that, definitely check it out because it might help :-)

    I love socks to . I’ve not been knitting but about little over a year also . And I tried and tried to use sock yarn will after crocheting since was a teen , 62 now well the yarn was so small . So I love cotton socks so I figured if I knitted I love this cotton in a sock I could do it . And it worked just fine . Then after that I went to the sock yarn and love it .on my forth pair now . One pair was a infant sock that was fun , then a infant booties. So my next dream is a sweater . So I’m so glad you are willing to share and help the newbies in the sweater world .

  • @JennySimon206
    @JennySimon206 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    FYI, plastic degrades natural fibers. You are supposed to store them in acid free paper or cloth (archival quality) and in a breathable container like a cedar chest. Don't let the fiber touch the cedar (acid). I watched a video on how to store your hand knits. I also actually store my yarn the exact same way... I just learned that about the degradation of yarn and that natural fibers need to breathe.
    I have mine in those jumbo zip locks and use a chip bag clip because the stupid zippers are a pain. I'm gonna get some archival quality linen bags and keep my eye out for a cedar chest even if I have to refinish an old one.

      Drowning in Yarn - Knitting Podcast I’m not what one would consider “good” at social media. I mean it took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to respond to your previous reply lol. My (very neglected) IG is @woollypammoth. I think the only picture I have of my own dyed yarn is a semi-solid navy I used in a hat lol. Not surprisingly, I’m also horrible at updating my Ravelry projects page. Anyway, that’s awesome that you’re knitting with your own dyed yarn! And you can’t be a pro without being an amateur first! 😁 Can’t wait to see how your sweater looks!
