      It's the first time I found such a combination - INTP + ESTP- online, and I have been reading and watching tons of materials about ESTP.
      I always get INTP result on tests, but lately I met this ESTP and he is like the exact opposite of everything I am, so it got me thinking, maybe I'm actually an INFJ? And more I read about INFJ the more it seems accurate, also I heard INTP and INFJ are often each others mistypes.

      I had an INFJ partner. We understood each other without a single word. Intentions, thoughts, all of it. We just clicked. I lived with her a year, we fought more than I've ever fought anyone and we fed into each other's insecurities. Breaking up was the right decision, we brought out the worst in each other- I felt like an unfeeling robot around her. lol
      Couple years ago I ended up dating an extremely independent ENFP. she has two degrees, one of which being a master's in psychology, and it's a world of difference. Calm conversations, 0 fights, realistic expectations, passionate adventures, and most importantly the mutual constant support and encouragement to do better for the world around us. We just got a dog 🐶 and we both work at non-profits

    I think what make xSxP standout from other type is because Se is on the "upper" function mean that they are the guys/girl who willing to act now and make things happen. the other type that come close to this that are not xSxP that I saw would be ENTJ and ENFJ. Note that I'm quite new on MBTI topic so I might be wrong.

    @danielsayre3385 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ESTP 22 years old- yes to most of this but I want to challenge you in that very few ESTPs I've met are anti-theory.
    Jargon is often non-inclusive, you have to be "in the know". Technical language as a tool to learn about theories- is a lot of effort for anyone. Water it down, especially in the US (as my subjective knowledge and experience extends) where the vocabulary rarely extends beyond one, or even two languages, and labor is highly specialized.
    ESTPs; We're stimulus seeking, and that very directly builds the brain's potential capacity for cognition. One of the reasons they advise having young children/babies listen to music is it engages multiple networks within the brain in order to grow that mesh of connections. I understand that brain development is more complicated than that, but psychology is more complicated than Jung's functions.
    Stereotypes only continue exist when they're used, you can stop that cycle 🤔 people have a warped and subjective sense of reality. Don't influence it wrongly if you can help it.
    We live in the information age. I say this as a digital native soaking up books and wikipedia articles 24/7 but a lot of the literature written in the US or in English between 1950-today contains intentional misinformation. Though with older people especially, many here have a broken bullshit-meter when it comes to conspiracy theories. Like thinking the world is flat, or that they hate people on land they've never stepped foot on. and damn. People pay a lot of money to take advantage of this. 😑 A war on the ever-fleeting concept of truth, usually scapegoating other humans or their beliefs.

      In the video, the words 'Strategic Waiting' isn't even in the true ESTP's vocabulary. ESTP's act almost always quickly, improvising as necessary. They are terrific first responders. Reflection is only done AFTER the action and its consequences are realized.

    My brother typed ESTJ with MBTI, but his vultology type is ESTP. I can definitely see his Se in that he is really focused on the facts, on reality, on the here and now, but may neglect more abstract, 'spiritual' ideas, seeing them as nonexistent. He is also extremely logical and is very much a devil's advocate, almost like an ENTP but more realistic.

  • @yeghor
    @yeghor 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @5:16 Fight = challenge ?
    @7:00 Se = primal instinct and physical aptitude, ability to "read" or attunement to (and ability to manipulate/wield) immediate physical environment and body language.
    I know you are taking these examples from celebritytypes page but Taylor Swift? Artistic ability is highly correlated with the F function (and femininity). That's why artistic men tend to have emphasized feminine traits. Taylor is most likely an ESFJ.
    Hemingway is most likely an ISTP. He looks like an introvert rather than a charming/manipulative extraverted talker.
    Just my 2 cents. thanks for another good video on types :)

    The inferior introverted intuition of ESTPs tends to result in amusing behavior pertaining to social perceptions. From worrying about the implications of deciding on a name to how people will react to a new haircut. In ESFPs, the inferior Ni may manifest as paranoia and distrust. It is interesting to note that extraverted sensation types may give more credence to obscure potentialities than realistically plausible. Although amusing, the expression of the tertiary function does become obnoxious when the person is caught in the grip of the inferior.
