I started questioning everything, especially advice from government health organizations after reading 'Health and Beauty Mastery' by Julian Bannett, this book exposes so many shocking truths about the health industry.
Dr. Gundry, what are you snacking on? I want some! 1- Alaskan salmon, frozen is my go to fish! Thank you, Costco! 2- Canned sardines on my arugula salad is my go-to, packed in water (preferred) or olive oil only (not soy oil) 3- Canned tuna is OK if low mercury….Albacore canned, good to know. I have been avoiding tuna recently 4- Goat cheese with the sardine arugula salad, yummmm. Didn’t know about the logs not being fermented. Prefer fermented goat cheese always and go for goat feta. 5- Sheep cheese is some of my favorite. Pecorino and Manchingo. (Spelling?) - always a good choice because they are fermented. 6- Proscuitto is fermented. A surprising bit of news. 7- Italian Reggiano Parmesan and meat salami, charcuterie, must be from Italy, fermented traditionally. 8- Non meat options - hemp hearts. 9- Pistachio always and forever 10- Macadamia nuts-prefer raw! but roasted is fine. 11- Walnuts: non organic is OK because it isn’t exposed to the herb and pesticides. But nice to support organic. 12- EVOO not in plastic. Big bottles not best. Organic in taller, smaller, round bottle. 13- Untoaated sesame oil 14- Dried herbs and spices
Good day, Dr. Gundry! It’s so good to see that you have a channel. I can’t wait to dive into your content-it’s concise and to the point. Excited to learn more as one of your new subscribers!

Thanks for the Info! I want to mention that when we have summertime in the USA, it is wintertime in South America. Therefore, we could find fruits that are out of season in the States in Chile and other countries in South America and viceversa. Anyway, you can find really good options at Costco. Thanks again!
Yeah, it looks like he forgot that on another side of the globe 🌎 there can be summertime while we in US have winter. So, Argentina raspberry is a very legit seasonal fruit in our unseasoned time. 😌
The chosen foods mayonnaise is much better than primal kitchen, it doesn’t separate like the primal kitchen did. Thankfully my Costco changed from pk to chosen foods, which also is made with avocado oil.
i really enjoy Dr G and his efforts to inform us on healthy choices. i indulge on pasta and flour at times - but always sourced from Italy. I do not readily consume non-organic herbs and spices so I never buy these from Costco. Another great find there is a big bag of organic matcha powder... and of course San Pelligrino in bottles.
There was a disclaimer in the video, that says it may be made with olive oil or sunflower oil, he warned not to buy when it contains the sunflower oil.
I don’t buy fresh salmon because it was originally frozen. Buy it frozen and do not refreeze it. I keep my Costco membership just for the frozen salmon. I buy a few other things… canned mercury tested tuna, and organic fruits and veggies.
Red Meat has been eaten for Millions of years and then all of a sudden its bad for you says the Food industry pushing Fruits and Vegetables. Muscle meat is the most dense nutrient food on Earth!!!
Hi. What about the enzyme that makes raw nuts hard to digest. Some folks have recommended to soak the raw nuts over night in a mild salt water. I have tried that and it changes the flavor profile and I don’t know if it changes the nutritional benefit. Your thoughts. Thanks for the great video, education, and products.
Hello Dr G Am your follower from Algeria. You are the best !! .I want to know whether it is ok to eat fish everyday it is my favourite source of protein .thank you so much
Why are we staying away from some products sold in plastic, but buying other products sold in plastic? (Frozen cauliflower, individual guacamole cups, etc)
You have to read the labels, I pass on salami or any cold cut meats that have nitrates in them. I look for uncured cold cut meats that don't have nitrates in them. Even the ones from Italy can have nitrates in them. Always read the labels before buying any food you're not sure of.
If a product is labeled "uncured with no added nitrates" but contains celery powder, it means that while the manufacturer hasn't added any synthetic nitrates directly, the celery powder itself naturally contains nitrates, allowing them to still claim "no added nitrates" on the label, even though the product technically does contain nitrates from the celery powder; this practice can be considered misleading by some consumers
The pesticides and herbicides are washed off the plants go into the ground then the plants take it up and it goes into the fruits, nuts and vegetables!
It gets washed into the ground and kills the microbiome in the earth. This is part of the reason the soil regerates so much more slowly and is less nutrient rich.
I only use almond powder on fish as a batter cooked in coco oil or mct oil * takes away the fishy taste of fish so much my granddauther said * l really like your chicken " lol !
With due respect, I admire your healthy choices. However, costco Kirkland basil pesto has seed oil, how would you advertise that? Frozen cauliflower - once in a video you advised to avoid frozen veggies then how come frozen cauliflower comes in your list? Costco individually packed guacamole comes in a plastic containers, how do you vote for that?
Big question I'm 65 and just 50 lb in the last year doing healthy keto. I'm at the way that I want to be. And I'm trying to fix my gut. And be healthier I'm on nexium for acid reflux crestor triglycerides and I've had my gallbladder removed. Am I still getting benefits from probiotics can eating healthy trying to fix my gut buddies ? Or am I just beating my head against the wall ! ?
I am like some of your patients that CAN'T gain weight. I ate a MINIMUM of 8,000 calories a day for TWO YEARS and did not gain weight. I weighed 140 lbs when I had my Army physical in 1969. At age 75 I just had my first blood test and second physical and I weighed 141 lbs I guess I did "bulk up" 1 pound over the last 55 years.
Are you ok Dr. Gundry, your voice sounds a bit raspy today, and it sounds like you are sucking on a lozenge, I do notice the hot tea beside you. Hope you are well my friend, you do an incredible amount of work in a short period of time. Sometimes the body says "slow down" rest.
Trader Joe's has "Italian Style" Cheese. The key word is "Style" and you should avoid this. I tried to tell the person stocking the cheeses I wanted "cheese from Italy" and she grabbed the "Italian Style" instead. I keep looking and found a cheese from Switzerland that was aged for 6 months, not the "Swiss Style" cheese. They also have an Organic New Zealand Cheese and a non-Organic Grass-Fed Cheese. Not sure what the stance on GMOs is in New Zealand.

When Trump puts a tariff on Mexican imports, say goodbye to avocado. Think about all the things he recommends are imported!!!! Blanket tariffs will affect these too.
Do not buy Costco herbs. Check consumers' reports in all the spices and herbs high in lead and cadmium. Costo herbs and spices has consistently been in their list.
The concept of health in "The 23 Former Doctor Truths" book completely explains this. I wish I read it sooner.

The Italian processed meat are high in salt and also has sodium nitrates that cause cancer.
Actually, prosciutto from Italy does NOT contain nitrites or nitrates. Salt, yes.
This video was so helpful; my Costco list has just grown by leaps and bounds.
This video is so helpful! I’m curious, do you have a favorite natural remedy for boosting energy during busy days?
Thank you Dr Gundry for the information
Thank you so much Dr. Gundy!
the cans are lined with BPA/BPS. also just because ziploc doesn't use phthalates doesn't mean that the plastic is healthy
Thanks again doctor G ❤
Store nuts in the freezer to keep them from going rancid. They stay fresh forever and they don’t need to thaw if you are cooking with them.
Thanks 😍
The chosen foods mayonnaise is much better than primal kitchen, it doesn’t separate like the primal kitchen did. Thankfully my Costco changed from pk to chosen foods, which also is made with avocado oil.
Avocado mayo is so disgusting, I have to add dill + mustard to jazz up the taste. did not want to throw out a $10 jar
100% based.

I make my own mayonnaise

13:39 But their basil pesto has sunflower oil, which is inflammatory.
There was a disclaimer in the video, that says it may be made with olive oil or sunflower oil, he warned not to buy when it contains the sunflower oil.
Macadamia nuts are safe for migraine sufferers. But walnuts are very high in tyramine! Some people get migraines from tyramine.
I make cheese. Goat cheese (chevre in a log or tub) is fermented, just not as long as hard cheese but probably not much less than the feta.
Cheese is antibiotica
Balsamic vinegar has a lot of sugar. Must read the labels!
Total Sugar 9G, Horrible.
Thank you
I am big fan of you. ❤
Hello Dr. Gundry! Thank you for continuing to educate us about healthy eating. When is salmon season ?
From the PNW...last half of the year...July thru Dec. However it freezes quite nicely so you can have it year found.
I don’t buy fresh salmon because it was originally frozen. Buy it frozen and do not refreeze it. I keep my Costco membership just for the frozen salmon. I buy a few other things… canned mercury tested tuna, and organic fruits and veggies.
Costco basil pesto is not made with olive oil last time I checked.
Red Meat has been eaten for Millions of years and then all of a sudden its bad for you says the Food industry pushing Fruits and Vegetables.
Muscle meat is the most dense nutrient food on Earth!!!

Grass fed/finished beef fat carries lots of nutrients! Eat more fatty meat!

You can find good choices in the Big Box Stores. You just have to look and read labels!
Wild planet sardines are the best. They are in EVOO.
Please explain the down side to over eating pistachios, loose bowel movements? Or other issues?

Artichokes in the jar have seed oil
The pesticides and herbicides are washed off the plants go into the ground then the plants take it up and it goes into the fruits, nuts and vegetables!
They are in the dna of the seed first so you really can't Wash them off ever....
