Micah and Irina: two narcissists. #7.1: Irina manipulates Bliss and Zack

Part 7.1 of my analysis of Micah and Irina from Love Is Blind and their underlying narcissism. Irina puts her love rival Bliss in an uncomfortable situation and then manipulates Zack after forgetting his birthday.

My favorite parts were definitely:
1) Irina trying to gaslight Amber by saying she didn't realise Amber was crying when she was spying and laughing. Yet again, the obvious behavior of a lesser narcissist.
2) Jackie and Josh are starting to threaten each other's control almost constantly. The tension in the air is palpable with those two - a powder key waiting to explode.
3) Micah flatter-bombing Chelsea and Paul.

I am still loving this. Its great to have the comparison of narcissist types in M & I. I am guessing Zanab was a higher functioning narcissist and was more able to hide it and also get the flying monkeys to do her will?? or is the flying monkey orchestration not related to narcissistic level?

Yes, Zanab is a lower mid-range narcissist, so higher functioning than Irina, but not higher than Micah. This meant that Zanab was able to form a close bond to the other women in the show, unlike Irina who basically alienated everybody apart from Micah (who she eventually pissed off as well).
The amount of flying monkeys is correlated to the level of functioning, but it's not a perfect fit. For example, you can get some really bombastic and fun but obvious narcissists, who will have a lot of friends despite being towards the lower end of the scale.

I’m guessing that Micah is a Middle Mid-Range Type A narcissist (“False Angel” or “Anodyne”), Irina is an Upper Lesser Type A narcissist (“Affable Asshole”), and Zanab is either a Lower Mid-Range (the “Incredible Sulk”) or Middle Mid-Range Type B (the “Crybaby”) narcissist.

My thoughts exactly! Zanab is lower mid-range because her facade flickers on and off and she shows a lot of heated fury (not something a middle mid-range would do, especially on camera).
