- The 2021 Lexus LS 500 does what large executive sedans do best: eat up hundreds of miles in comfort and class. No longer sporting a V-8, the flagship Lexus LS 500 features a 3.4-liter (Lexus calls it a 3.5) turbocharged V-6 making 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. The EPA gives the RWD version 29 mpg on their highway test. Were we able to match that figure? Find out here!

I think it'd be a good idea for you to take a decibal meter during your tests to show how quite/loud the road noise is. Always love your reviews, you are among the best on youtube.
Thank you! This is something that's come up many times, the tough part is doing it at a standardized place, testing equipment, wind, speed, and vehicle surroundings. But I'll keep it in mind!
@@DailyMotor ahh, fair enough. I figure you would implement it in your highway fuel economy test because you go the same 73 mph for all vehicles. I suppose there's always errors with equipment too.
@@crazykidgaming There are a few that I did a few years ago. But again, I'd have to make sure to do it at the same stretch of pavement each time and hope there weren't any semi trucks nearby making noise next to me.
Yea, I guess there's too many factors. I suppose you could mitigate that by having a maximum/minimum number while the car is at 73mph and you aren't talking or listening to music. You generally go on the same route for each fuel test right?

I have the 2021 LS 500 while there is less than 100 miles on it I can honestly say the car is a joy to sit in and the Mark Levinson sound system is fabulous

Also, you said it gives 30.1 mpg gallon when it's actually 31 mpg
I think that's good mpg for a car that size; that's about what I get with my 2017 ES 350...fantastic range with the big fuel tank...
@@alanhumphrey4198 it isn't only about the car size its super heavy too, the better transmission and the twinturbo makes up for it I guess
I would like to see this test, on the AWD.
Due to weight expect about 4-7% less MPG
