    Hi good review, i just wondering if this has like bpm detection? For example i make a 4 bar loop then the drums follows? If yes i can make it a master clock to other gears and i can jam on the fly without setting up bpm or metronom.
    Or i set the bpm first before i make a jam?

      Hey thanks for the comment! I don’t think that functionality is there on the pedal itself - I’ve not tried specifically but haven’t seen how it could be done via settings. You’ll need to pre-set the BPM - either via the tap tempo button, manually with the click wheel, or via a controller pedal you can set as tap temp (last option might be your fastest).
      There is midi functionality so there’s potential to sync it with the rest of your gear via midi, but I have not done this.

    hi thank for the unboxing ,my question is when you save a loop with a drum beat in a memory does it save it all loop as well as well as the drum beat
    thanks

      Hey Derek! Thanks for the comment - yes it does save both the loop and the Rhythm when you save to memory. The only thing it won’t do is include the rhythm when exporting. That was my correction in the video - and it’s too bad! I wish it exported with the rhythm.

    That looks awesome! The only looper I’ve owned is the Ditto looper, so I’d be curious to see what playing a more full-featured looper is like.

      Thanks my man! This one is fun, playing along with the rhythms is a good time for sure. Though I will say I'm dying to try the Ditto plus looper that came out earlier this year - it's got a cool function where you can extend your loop as you play an overdub that's longer than your base loop. Looks super cool.

    I had the same fixation on texture upon unboxing this model, my first looper standalone pedal I’ve owned

    Hi everyone! I have an issue with RC-5 & Rc-505. When using the loopers as midi clock slave devices, synced to Maschine software, there are glitches / artefacts all over the place. BOSS recommends to turn Tempo Sync off for each track to avoid those issues, but this led to another issue (tracks start / skip bars / stop randomly). SO that was not a solution. I have contacted BOSS about this, they said they tested it with Ableton and it works fine, but in general their loopers dont like to be slaved. However, no matter how i put the MIDI settings on the looper, nothing helps. Is this also the case with RC-500?

      Hey Martin - thanks for commenting, wish I could help but I’ve not used MIDI functionality in this way yet. Hope someone else can chime in here - best of luck

    More step by step instructions would be great. I love the drum patterns on my rc=5 but don’t know much about how to use the rhythms. Thanks for your help.

      Thanks GT! There’s so much to this pedal, I could have talked about it for more than an hour. What specifically are you having trouble learning? There are a ton of customizations you can do with the rhythms (tempo, pattern, kit, reverb, A/B variations, etc). I’ve found that using an external footswitch is helpful. I programmed my RC-5 to have one extra switch set to start rhythm and the other as a “stop” function for the looping tasks.

    hi again is there any way to save the volume levels in the set up .or as you say they all go to 100% .these days i only play at home using a fender gtx50 with a pair of speaker monitors through a mixer ,its happened in the past were i nearly blow my ears out were the levels were wrong .Thanks

    • @natesgearguide4641
      @natesgearguide4641  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Derek - no worries. Yes when you save in one of the 99 memory slots, you can save both the rhythm level and the loop level. You can also adjust and re-save if needed.

    The title implies you’re opening a fake RC-5 pedal.
