@IstraTourism.com you can do it without but the pressure and vacuum that you make with the bilge pump will be gone from the fuel line as soon your engine use the gas. It just make sense with it.
@IstraTourism.com Absolutely. I agree and rarely I do it as well. I just run out of gas at the worst situations and I got tired of it and that's why I did this modification. Occasionally I still have to squeeze the pump just to maintain the pressure but still easier then refill on choppy water.
How do you put it in reverse?

Do the 3.5's have fuel pump? I thought they were gravity feed. I'm not mechanical.
Mine does not have a fuel pump. This is the reason why I have to use a bilge pump in the fuel line.

@IstraTourism.com you can still squeeze gas into tank if you close the gas valve and open the air lock on top of the tank.
