OPEN & CLOSE Convenience feature on a VW Volkswagen Golf MK7

- Hi, this 'How To' video shows you how to operate the convenience feature on a 2015 VW Golf MK7. The convenience feature allows you to open and close all the windows and sunroof via the key without being in the vehicle. This is really useful on a hot day to air the car before getting into it. Although this video shows a Volkswagen this feature is common on a lot of makes & models in the last 15 years so give it a go to see if it works. On some cars you can insert your key in the door lock and turn it clockwise, release, then turn it clockwise again and hold. Turning the key counter clockwise will usually raise the windows back up.

Convenience window is on in te menu but still doesn't work. I already calibrated the windows. Somebody got the same problem?

I have a 2012 GTI Autobahn. Question: I like the digital speedometer read out but every time I restart my car I have to toggle to this option on the MFI. Can I get the MFI to default to the digital read-out without having to set it every time I go to drive my car?

Hi, I have polo 2014 model, this feature doesn't work, I don't know what to do...I dont have this settings to be able to change them.
Is there a way for the car to automatically close all windows when I lock the car with my key? (without having to hold the lock button).

What about a vw polo GTI 2014 model doesn't have that screen, just came back from panel beaters now this feature doesn't work
2014 and area models are not turned on at factory due to complaints about pocket rolls. Just had mine turned on with mechanic for pennies and minutes.

ye I can do that on my mk4 but obviously I have to turn the key in the lock

In my 2014 Golf 7, the passenger side window fell down. Despite replacing the necessary parts, excluding the motor, the window will not automatically open or close, regardless of my attempts with the switches and calibration techniques found online. Does anyone have any suggestions for resolving this persistent issue?

I sell them. I've always had this problem.
Does your Auto up and down work? (I.E Will your window go all the way up itself when you click up on the button once and let go?)
Same issue. Also Key fob will not unlock hatch. WTH?

If you have a NORTH AMERICAN market GTI, it will NOT work. They disabled the function. This is why I don't like VW and will never buy another car from them again. They take away stuff the other brands offer for LESS.

This needs to be on an app on your phone. That way you get to choose any window or combo.
Hiya mate, I've been trying for a bit now to get the mirrors to fold on lock... Or to fold at all, I've searched through the settings and at the door panel and I found the side mirror heating on the dial but no folding. Is this a feature??? I'm like 2 minutes away from calling customer care and sounding like an idiot 😂😂
Your car might not have folding mirrors at all :)
Anders Christensen I've found that they do not fold electronically but they do fold manually with an unreasonable amount of force (They hadn't been folded for a LONG time) they fold a lot easier now though! 😋
Why would u use this feature , wha t is it for??
This "feature" is for when your keys hold the "open" button whilst in your pocket to let your car fill up with rainwater overnight...
and that is exactly why in Canada the dealers turn off this option....Cause people will sue them if above happens.....As usual, people do something stupid and blame someone else.....so those of us who would like this feature have no choice in it....
On mine works for a while than stops working
Pisses me off that VW REMOVES this feature from cars exported to the US/Canada. Why do they remove it? it doesn't cost extra money to leave the feature in. I am not spending $249 on a stupid reset module to activate it but that's the only way to do it.
