Imagine being that mother that collapsed… your worst moment in life televised and watched over and over again… my heart goes out to all the people who lost a loved one, worked on the crash scene and those wonderful women in Lockerbie who washed, pressed and wrapped all those clothes of the people on board that plane
The anguish of that mother’s screams. Gut wrenching.
That woman's screams haunted me at night for a long time. Now that I have my own daughter I find it even worse than I did then.
As a documentary filmmaker and producer, I commend and applaud you for this excellent production. Great job mates!! Well done!!!
The women of Lockerbie collected then carefully cleaned, folded and packaged all the victims' clothing they could find so that the items could be returned to grieving families. Kindness doesn't even begin to describe that generosity of heart.
Wow. Ty for relaying this fact. 😭❤️. I didn't know.
Thank you Maggie.
I was a flight attendant for pan am in 1988 I was supposed to be on flight 103 but my flight plan changed I lost my coworkers and passengers my all of them rest in peace
@@freddyhoyt1849 You will always grieve for them Freddy and probably even shed tears from time to time but the friends you lost deserve your memories and your tears, they are your tribute to them. It was a horrible, horrible event and one that will not be forgotten but please do remember to celebrate your own life. As hard as it can be to be a survivor, it was meant to happen that way. May you be blessed with peace in your life.

Heart Breaking 💔. Well done Documentary bradaaa
I was working for Pan Am at LAX when this terror attack took place. When the mechanics arrived for work everyone was very quiet. We were in a state of shock. At first no one knew what caused the crash. Some of us were worried that a maintenance failure was the cause, because our station worked on the plane just two days earlier. But we soon found out that a bomb destroyed the 747. Two FBI agents arrived at LAX to interview all of us. They were very nice and assured us that no one was under suspicion, they were just gathering information. It was a very sad time for all of us.
There certainly are a lot of images to come out of the Pan Am 103 incident, but I think Jeannine Boulanger collapsed on the floor at the JFK terminal is the one that never leaves you.
I agree. To see Mrs. Boulanger collapsed on the floor of JFK Airport, screaming, "MY BABY MY BABY!!!!" sent icy cold chills down my spine.
@@MaryHladHer raw expression of grief & horror are indelible.
Very sad incident 😢
What hardly gets mentioned is that PA 103 was direct retaliation to the downing of Iran Air 655, mistakenly shot down by a US warship in July 1988, 5 months prior to Lockerbie.
I've only found one story online about Pan Am 103 departing a half hour late, all the other reports that I've read online say the flight departed on time, but it didn't, It's like they're trying to cover this fact up, and it's my understanding that the bomb onboard the plane was on a timer, (not a barometric timer) it was set to blow at a certain time, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that had the plane departed on time, the bomb would've detonated out over the ocean, completely missing Lockerbie, thus making the recovery process a lot more difficult, but also saving 11 lives on the ground, and probably millions of dollars in property damage in the small Scottish town.
so virtually every source youve checked says it departed on time but you're choosing to believe the one source that says it left late?? I don't know man, sounds like you're looking for a conspiracy here. It's insane and very MAGA like that you would believe one thing when every major source out there says something else.😂
On the wings of Angels...
28:40, that woman screaming and crying because her daughter onboard Pan Am Flight 103 died in the crash
It wasn't just someone - it was her daughter.
I would just like to add that i truly believe the only thing that unites humanity is hardship and grief ... that's it
Mackintosh is the best producer ever i have watched numerous documentaries by him and they are all the best
I can't help but be glad about the party animal missing the flight. I hope he is still healthy and happy.

It states in this documentary that the Pan Am 747 had arrived from San Francisco but this isn't true. PA 103 was a regularly scheduled flight from Frankfurt to Detroit with stop overs in London and New York
So so sad. All those innocent people. Did he really do it, or was he a patsy
While Gaddafi accepted responsibility for the attack, he always denied giving the order for it to happen. Gaddfai handed over al-Megrahi and Fimah, the two accused, but Fimah was discovered to have been in Sweden at the time and was therefore released. There will always be a question mark over the conviction of al-Megrahi.
Patsy it’s always a patsy. Question is who on the plain did they want gone when you figure that out you’ll know who did it.
@@Jaysqualityparts........The answer to your question is US Marines Major Charles 'Chuck' McKee' and his team.
@@maggiematthews3517 ......Libya, Colonel Gaddafi and Abdel basset al-Megrahi [the supposed 'Lockerbie Bomber' - who was wrongly prosecuted and imprisoned] had absolutely nothing to do with the Lockerbie Bombing.
In July 1988 [just 5 months before the downing of Pan Am 103] the US Govt ordered their Navy to despatch several warships to the Straits of Hormuz in the Gulf to protect oil tankers which were coming under attack in the ongoing war between Iraq and Iran.
One of the warships - captained by William Rogers III - was the US$3 billion Ticonderoga class 'USS Vincennes', which is equipped with the state-of-the-art Aegis Combat System, the most advanced early warning detection system at that time.
[NB: Aegis is still an extremely advanced combat system to this day - due to its ability to track and identify enemy forces both on land and at sea as well as in the air].
For some inexplicable reason, the incredibly arrogant and incompetent Captain Rogers disobeyed direct orders from his superiors and took it upon himself not only to launch unsanctioned attacks against several gunboats, but also to fire two surface-to-air missiles at an Iran Air A300 Airbus [flight 655].
What makes this idiotic act even more unbelievable is that Rogers and his officers mistook an A300 Airbus with an F14 fighter jet. This is like confusing a dog with an elephant! The result - the commercial aircraft and all 290 passengers and crew onboard were blown out of the sky. There were no survivors.
To make matters worse, the passengers were all Iranians on their annual pilgrimage to Mecca - their most holy ceremony. The Iranians were absolutely apoplectic with rage and immediately ordered a revenge attack [codenamed 'Operation Intekam' - which mean ‘equal and just revenge’ in English] swearing that the 'Skies would Rain Blood'.
The attack was to be on any American commercial flights departing out of Europe for the US. A 'contract' of US$10 million* was offered to the Syrian-backed, Ahmed Jibril-led PFLP-GC [Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command]
*Transmissions between senior Iranian politicians were intercepted by Israeli security services [Mossad] confirming payment to the PFLP-GC of the US$10 million as well as congratulating them on blowing up Pan Am 103. And in 2001, Iran openly admitted that they carried out the Lockerbie Bombing.
Horrible
Sounds like a job only the intelligence agencies could pull off.
Sounds like you're a complete idiot.
