I hope your wonderful husband can fight this cancer and come back home safe and sound! He's videos are my favorite since I've been a fan of puppets since I was a kid watching sesame Street and the Muppets.
Is that looks like Elmo?
Donated! I just discovered your videos as I am thinking of putting together a local puppet show. I am heartbroken to hear of your battle. I hope you are healed completely and 100% restored! Thank you for making this body of work available to the public, I look forward to making my first puppet.
I'd like to thank you Adam for what you have created and I hope your recovery with cancer goes well. I have created my first puppet and it was a blast. I could not have done it without this great video. GOD BLESS.

I still remember as A child in 7th grade we had a big presentation we had to do with puppets, I made 8 puppets by myself with my money ,made the script and choreo also myself (my team of 5 didnt care about the project) and got horribly bullied because every other team comisioned professionals to do the puppets and their parents wrote their presentations. To this day that event broke something inside me I never got back. I was the poor kid on a scholarship on a rich kids highschool. never told this story to anyone. this was almost 18 years ago.
that sucks
Awww, man. That sucks
They hated you for you where better then them
I know what it's like to be a poor kid in school full of rich kids. Let me tell you something. I'm proud of you. I really am. Cause you found the time, creativity and money to do it all by yourself. Even if you weren't a professional, you did it all on your own and that's the best part of it.
Now that some years have passed, i really hope that inner child of yours had healed, and if he hasn't, then it's time. Make him proud. Make a new puppet. Have fun while doing it. Your past childhood may not have been what you wanted it to, but you've got the present now. Let's do everything you always wanted and have success!
You should take pride in the work you did. Sounds like your childhood colleagues grew up with the premium content version of the education system. Attendance was likely their only requirement. A scholarship made you their peer, which means you were the only person among them who earned your place there. I'd say that lands you a bit higher on the hierarchy, and that's probably why you got bullied. Envy.
I am 57 and always loved puppets since I could sit in front a TV.
This was my dream to make my own puppet, I am putting the finishing pieces on tomorrow, I will try to share Pic of it
If the puppet in the video on your channel is the one you made: good job!!!
THIS IS PERFECT I been wanting to make wally darling from welcome and with this I can
ME TOO AAAAAAH SKKDKDLDKD I LOVE WALLY 😭💞
THAT'S EXACTLY WHY I'M HERE!
NICE!
I was here to make a welcome home oc :D

Look everyone, it’s Elbo. No relation to Elmo (Sesame Street trademark).
Lol. It just sounds like your saying “Elmo” with a stuffy nose.
Lol his name is Elbow
Nahhh his real name is PURPLE ELBO! 😂

*adds puppetry to my growing list of to-do hobbies*
Finally, there's a video on how to make a puppet without sewing
Because I'm 12 and I don't know how to sew THANKS!!!😁👍
Edit: thank you for 200 likes😊
Me to
I am 12 too
Same I'm 12 too and can't sew
I can teach u guys how to
good news is though, there are even more videos that can teach you how to sew! it's a good, handy skill to have. :)
Watching this video just reignited a little fire in my heart and brought back so many memories. I had a small puppet when I was a child and learning how to manoeuvre it for skits and games was so much fun!
That puppet was given away to someone else a long time ago... but now I'm feeling inspired to make a new buddy all my own. :D
Did you do it?
Not sure why youtube recommended this, but I'm glad it did. Right up my alley. I love trying new crafts with materials that I already have. Well..I don't have furry fabric but I have other stuff! lol
Time to go try to make the kids some FNAF puppets!
Love it! So glad to hear this! Make sure to post it on Instagram and tag me so I can see it.
K so I realized school ripped all creativity out of me.. I forgot my interests and never got to figure out what I LOVE TO DO…
I, like you said, love trying new crafts probably cause I’m making up for all the years of childhood I missed out on.
I just was wondering what your dream job is… and if it has to do with this love of crafts or if it’s just more like a hobby…
I didn’t even love crafts till I got out of school
I am making a puppet soon and I thought the sewing would be my roadblock, thank you.
How's it going?
Good, actually. Her name is Strawberry and she is a shy monster.
@@pointypointypointy-pin do you have a link to a photo or video?
You must be incredibly fun to shop with! My husband and I drive people crazy because we aren't just looking at what things are, but also at what they could become! The entire world becomes a playground, and inspiration can be anywhere!! I'm glad I found this video... I think I'll be subscribing!
Thanks for your support!!! Give this project a try! Let me know if you have any questions.

How’d it go
This seems like something good for quick to make backround characters
Thanks, this appeared in my recommendations and now I want to make a puppet
Give it a try! You will have a blast!
I do a film study in cinematography. I recently started a Puppet Film project because of this video. I think i'm falling in love with the concept of Puppets and making Puppets. I now have 2 Dumpster Puppets and an Evil Cowboy puppet for my film. And i adore the entire thing.
Just found this channel. Love it
Jim Henson would be proud.
I have no idea how this video ended up in my recommendations, but I loved it, it really made me want to make a puppet
So glad to hear this!!!
Say I would make my own puppet name Jack in the box with blue hair and purple fur
I had no intention of making a puppet when I saw this in my suggestions. I had to watch it though, just to see how it could be done. Brilliant! Who knows maybe I might make this someday. Also, thank you for making this video for those who are interested in puppetry and making their own puppets, but can't sew. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to do something creative. It was very kind of you to put so much effort into figuring out how to make this possible.
I LOVE Puppets & Muppets 😻
How am I JUST finding out about this?! Gonna make puppets all day, everyday. Just because Puppets are LIFE ❤️
I know the chances of you seeing this comment on a 2 year old video are slim, but I want to give you my most heartfelt thank you for all the tutorials you create & share. A couple years ago my best friend Shawn & I found a gif of a little red jester Sesame Street style puppet who was boxing 😂 He had little balled up fists & would jab a punching bag & something about him just made us love him! We had no idea where he was from, but we'd use the gif all the time.
Hed been sick his whole life, but 2022/23 was the worst. An anti rejection medication he had to take to keep his body from rejecting a kidney he'd had transplanted years back had caused skin cancer, which he'd been battling for years, but the treatment was hard on his one kidney, so we had to go for tests constantly to monitor his kidney function over the course of his cancer treatment. It would usually decrease a bit, but would always bounce back, but in late summer of 22 it stopped bouncing back. So we weren’t able to continue his cancer treatment. Then on Christmas Eve of that year (which I spent 2 hours from home in the hospital with him) we learned he didn't have much time left. His one wish was to just be home, so we moved heaven & earth to make that happen & I tried to bring as much light, joy, happiness & positivity into what days he had left. He was a silly guy with a great & sense of humor & one day while we were in his living room doing wound care we started talking about the puppet (to distract him & help the time pass quicker) & we came up with a whole backstory for the puppet, who he coined "Piff Piff Patterson" 😂 His job & hobbies, where he was from, his favorite outfit etc lol & he became a much loved little character to us, almost our mascot We talked about trying to find one online to order, but we couldnt find one anywhere.
He & I both loved the classic Sesame Street episodes from our childhood & were always jokingly singing parts of songs like "Smell a smell, sniff a sniff take a bweath" & reciting "a loaf of bread, a container of milk & a stick of butter" & sharing old Sesame Street videos from TH-cam with each other. I think our love of Classic Sesame Street had something to do with why we loved this little puppet so much. But I couldn't find him anywhere. The most I found was some info that it was from commercials in another country, but everything was in another language so it didnt help. I'd thought about trying to make one but had no idea what materials to use or how to even go about it, I'm so glad I found your channel & appreciate the content your making, because although I won't be able to give it to him. I'm hoping I can attempt to create this little jester puppet & have him as a tribute to him. I know he'd have been so excited & woukd have loved it so much. So again, if you happen to find this message, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's the little things in life that make the biggest ripples & your content has made my day & given me hope that maybe, just maybe, I can actually bring this little puppet to life ❤
Man, what a story. I hope the puppet works out well and becomes a nice tribute to your friend.
@@jarosbodytko6462 Thanks so much for taking the time to read & reply. I’m still in the process of sourcing materials, but I’m hoping so too. Thanks again!

nice I was building one from memory in highschool-- watched two other people and saw their method, and yours was the best by far and helps fix the mess I made.
Puppet crafting and puppeteering/acting is pure magic in my eyes
I have never once been interested in making puppets but now I find myself binge watching all of your videos
Glad you are enjoying them!
I used this method for my final in one of my college courses. love puppets!
You are my hero, Adam. I've been looking for this video for a very long time..
Can't wait to make it for my son.
Believe it or not, this was pretty much how I attempted to fabricate my first ever puppet build way back in 2004 - not necessarily because I was inexperienced in sewing (although that was part of it), but also because I was in such a rush to finish before the follow week (and great, I had never built a puppet before), and this seemed a lot less time-consuming than sewing.
Your puppet and me have the same birth month
This is also how I got into making puppets I was watching Sesame Street because it was on I wondered how they made them move the mouth because there isn’t any thing like a hinge
Thank you for showing us how to make a puppet! I am gonna make one for my Sunday school children!
Adorable! Super cute, and thank you Adam!
Thank you so much!! You have made my son happy that you taught me how to make a puppet! Great Teacher!!❤️👍
OH MY GAWD! Why do you keep inspiring me? First your Cake Puppet made me do a pretty awesome Hamburger Puppet as Cosplay prop. But this now inspired me for a full on cosplay and I already started working on it 10 seconds ago
Wowsers, turned out awesome!!
Woah! You just whipped up a quality puppet :0 I wasn't even considering this, but you made me feel like I could totally do it ♥
I’ve been watching this channel for a year or two now, and I’ve never felt that I could make a puppet myself, as I didn’t have the money, tools, or creativity in my eyes.
However rewatching this video I definitely feel a lot more confident in trying it!
And the underbite idea made me think to make a dragon with an overbite.
Thanks, Adam!
You know, Adam, this video is pretty cool, and this is exactly how I made my own puppets.
Yes this is what I need. Thanks Sir
Loved this video!
I have already watched tons of videos from your channel but this one has given me the practical and simple means that will allow me to build my first puppet.
I am not just saying it. I Actually got foam, a new glue gun, my first sewing machine, lots of fabric...
I will be sure to show it to you as soon as I am done.
Thanks for sharing your passion with the rest of us here on TH-cam!
Now I think I can make a puppet, because your directions are so easy and thorough, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! 😊

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this (and your other vids)! I'm headed into my first now and feel confident it will lead me down a path towards "sewing techniques" and "professional glues and foams". lol. The work hanging behind you has me inspired.
This makes me want to build my own puppet and i will watch more of your videos Thank you
So happy I found this channel. A few years ago there was like almost no information on how to build a puppet but now I can use your channel as a starting point.
Wow this takes me back to elementary school when I would make alligator hand puppets out of construction paper :) this is such a cool video! Thank you
It looks amazing! I hope this tutorial encourages more people to make puppets. 😊
Thanks for this tutorial! I just made my first puppet! A Sasquatch for a crowdfunding pitch video. I couldn’t be happier and more proud of the result. Buying one would not have given the same satisfaction. Thanks again!
I haven't a clue why the TH-cam algorithm decided this was a video I needed to see. I have not once in my life been interested in puppeteering, much less consume its related content online. However, I don't think I've wanted to follow a DIY tutorial more in my entire life, this looks like a blast to make and a fun thing to bring out at parties once everyone's wasted. I will be making this, thank you.
for tyler's 20th birthday can you make a full puppet of tyler himself plus i love your work so so much THX!!!
