Thank you for your great videos! My 10 year old grandson loves puppets and wants to make a sack puppet. I purchased your pattern and with no experience in making puppets I made my first test puppet in just a couple hours and it turned out great! My grandson loves the test one and can't wait till our weekend together to make a green long fur puppet. He calls in the evenings with plans on what kind of eyes, and how many fingers. If anyone is wanting to make one of these puppets it is well worth getting the pattern and following the video. It is easy and rewarding.
Like Arlo here on TH-cam? Because I thought the same thing or at the very least, close friends. I know Adam also has a puppet named Arlo, who is a cute little blue monkey.
When I needed to make feet and legs, you did a tutorial at the perfect time. Want to guess what my next puppet project is going to be? Perfect timing again, thank you!!
Adam, I will be thinking of you. I just discovered your chanel. It's so helpful, and so much fun. I have been going back and forth to a store called Curry's here in the UK, to explore was to set up filming for Tictock. Thank goodness there are friendly helpful people behind the service counter. And on my other hand, I am dreaming up my puppets, how I want to make them, and what kind of teaching/story. So , I'm getting support from you while I go thru the steps. It's exciting and a little bit on the edge. So, I thank you for your contributions. You're a great teacher. Enjoy your rest and I'm holding you in the light
I have just found out about your channel and i love the work. Sorry to hear about your current situation, but I know im not alone in saying things will work out for the best! You're amazing!
Hi Adam. Thank you for a great tutorial. I’ve been practising ventriloquism for quite a while and would like to turn professional. I’d love to make my own characters, and your tutorial gives me the know how to do it. Fabulous explanations and very clear and simple to follow. Thank you. - Dawn 🌅
Have you ever thought about hosting a contest, where viewers send in puppet character designs, and you make your favorite and send it to the winner? I think that would be really cool, and a lot of artists and doll customizers have done something similar.
Great to see a puppet enthusiast. I myself am in puppetry and like to have puppets like these. You should sell em. I would be your #1 customer! No seriously I would. Keep on teaching people like this. At least it's out there.
Ernie is not a sack puppet! He used the live hands that are separate from the body. Though I am sure you can still make a fun Ernie. Clothes seem more difficult for this kind of pattern but Monsterpiece Theatre always has Cookie in that suave suit so I probably just don’t know what I’m doing
dude!!! your videos and passion for the art in general are awesome. I recently got signed off work due to a bad accident involving my hand. started rewatching lots of muppet shows and various other things Henson workshop related from my youth and decided to buy a puppet. its been great fun. your videos and obviously playing around with an actual puppet have inspired me to do more. keep up the good work... when I have something I'm happy with I'll send you a clip.
the head before you attached it to the body is already adorable! i could see making one out of tribble-colored faux fur so you'd have a goofy little tribble puppet! XD
Hello, I purchased the big mack pattern and was hoping for a material list as in the snoof pattern. How much material is required to make this puppet? Thank you
Before the current world events, I had created my own sack puppet, from scratch pattern and all, but using Adams foam pattern for the head (though I did increase the size by about 10% due to my hands). Now I wish to bring my puppets out again, I miss showing them off in public.
awesome puppet build, another famous sack puppet besides cookie monster is telly monster i don't know why i'm thinking this, the blue puppet with the pink nose sorta looks like Grover
Can you please also do a tutorial on how to make a marionette, preferably one with a moving mouth? I would also love to see a tutorial on how to make sock puppets. You have lots of really cool puppet tutorials on your channel, but I wasn’t able to find any tutorials on these two types of puppets. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
I kinda liked his scraggly look. I’m going to make my first hand puppet this week. I have most of the materials. Just waiting on some ping pong balls to make the eyes.
That's a really good sack puppet, Adam it almost looks like Grover from Sesame Street, speaking of Grover you should actually try make a puppet of Grover because I'm learning the same thing myself
Hey, Adam... I want a PUPPET NERD t-shirt, but only see sweatshirts in your store. Did you sell all of your t-shirts? Are you going to order some? (I'm a size XXL)
Cool! Is this arlo’s new twin? :O just asking cuz i think you made the OG arlo years ago right? You’re Essentially his dad lol 😂 just moved, no room to build moogie yet, but its still on my bucket list ^^
The pattern website doesn’t work for me I was half way done making my sack puppet I was on the head free pattern and the it said host name could not be found

I think all my googling 9n how to make a puppet FINALLY paid off!! This is the resource I've been looking for!
The wolf sack puppet is so cute!
Great tutorial! I actually started making sack body puppets last year, this tutorial is gonna help out a lot more. Great job, Adam!
Me too
Do you know if a yard of fur fabric is enough to make this sack puppet?
@@Carefreeville regularly for me about two yards of fabric is enough to make a puppet. Depending on the size of the character you want to build.
@@MarceloRBottaro the same size as the one Adam made in the video

The original arlo?

I just love when he test fits the mouth and makes the puppet talk with him 😆
This is such a great video--thorough and clear while also edited to move along quickly--bravo! Thank you for your generous sharing!

after you glue the foam with contact cement once its gotten tacky do you have to wait for it to dry more to get it to not emit fumes
