I still loved the house architecture and finishings for me the 90s represent good quality produced items and furnishings that last a long time. It is a bit like a home alone house, thanks for showing us.
Lookin’ good today Renee! Looks like you found a few treasures amongst the rubble. What you’re doing is like mining for gold- you have to move a whole lot of rock to find those few valuable nuggets. Looking forward to the next one!
@@pippilongstocking-qs7fm yes it’s a Peacock Chair my gram had one and then my mom took it when she was going to get rid of it Nd we had it in the backyard under the roof by the pool and to wicker swinging chairs on each side.
Nice video - always interesting to see other people's homes (though millionaire "leave-behinds" look kind of like what I might leave behind :).). Good find on the military photos. I will confess these videos sometimes make me tired just thinking about all you have to move but, as you say, that's the business! At the risk of igniting terrible controversy and even factionalism, I hope gold bathroom fixtures remain a thing of the '90s. But that's just my taste - everyone should have what they like in their own homes, right?
My friend was able to get a lot of helping hands to move the bigger furniture, thankfully! On this day, pretty much everything on the 2nd floor was moved downstairs, so that was a big help.
Lovely French Chateau style home from the exterior...thanks for taking us along, & congrats on your finds...hope there are more as you guys poke in the books & crannies!
0:37 "This is when my audio went kaputt". Great one, Renée ! 2:20 "And now we´re going to the east wing" , next good one, lol ! 900 k for this property might not be too high, depends on how many acres are around this building. Nice discussions between Anthony and his buddy in the background. Not your "ideal cleanout", but nice pickups though. The Victorian stuff will come, Renée, check your mail during the next weeks :-). Greets from GER, U.
Painters are coming in & the carpets are going to be ripped out, with new carpet throughout the entire house. A few cosmetic touch-ups will be necessary too, but I think it will easily be listed for at least 900k. Not my style of house, but with the real estate market here, it will not be on the market long!
Wow that Peacock chair (wicker) can go for good money.....Empty Chanel boxes sell....Those Halloween masks are also good money!!!!....Maybe you will come across the cds.....Do you flip through all the books to make sure there's no money hidden?...Especially Bibles.....
Need to check old candy containers as well. After my husband passed I found one of those plastic mini mm containers in a drawer, almost tossed it in the trash but something told me to open it, good thing I did as he has stuffed two hundred dollar bills in it.
Hey girl i suggest to you use a body cam holder or head holder for your camera so it will be more easy for you to dig and i gess it will more interesting for people how watch they feel the experience keep it up and good bless you
Nowadays $900,000 is not much for a house! Enjoyed this video. Always like to see what people leave behind. A bit sad really but your enthusiasm is contagious.
What an adventure!!! You have the coolest 😎 time finding treasures!!!! So glad you are sharing 😊 ❤️ with us. I always see things that I have never seen before in my 64 years. I will probably never see , so I love ❤️ when you do a clean out. Keep up the great videos! The mask was AWESOME 👌

I can’t believe this thrift stores not only turn stuff away but that they are allowed to be picky. The thrift store that I worked at we had to accept EVERYTHING! We weren’t allowed to turn anything away. I mean people would bring us (I’m not even exaggerating) boxes and trash bags with trash.
Nice mask! That was fun! It's nice to see you guys joke around at times! Especially when the pickings are not the best. I thought that house was wonderful but then I'm an old lady and that is how my tastes in homes and decorating goes! I can't help it, I would move there in a flash! I love watching you! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
Renee, the boxes of Christmas ornaments and papers or anything that smells like mold and mildew can be sprayed with the generic Lysol that they sell at the dollar store. I’ve sprayed a very large Oriental rug that I picked up at an Estate sale and after it was no longer damp from the spray the smell was completely gone. I’ve sprayed everything from pictures to clothes, etc… and also it doesn’t stain anything that I’ve used it on so far! Good luck, I hope you find some real treasures and I hope you get some good clean out leads for yourself.✝️🥰
I'm with ya on the millionaire from 1905. What a fun time that would be and I would spend most time picking through stuff but what a great time it would be!
This was done in less than 2 weeks. We were able to clear out the 2nd floor on this day and just had to wait for the dumpster to dispose of the broken/damaged furniture and other items that weren't sellable. The basement had the majority of the "stuff" and that took a few days to box up & clean out.
6:07 I realize this video is a year old, but I didn't see any comments about the Lladro Box. That's an older box too. I saw the German Christmas items too. That must have been a lot of fun.
The wicker chair is a peacock chair worth a few bills unpainted. I sold a unpainted pair for $900 about 3 years ago. If I were to go to a thrift store and they want to dig through my donations to take one item, I'd much rather just throw it all away. I do understand turning away broken furniture, stained clothing, etc. though.
At first I honestly thought that may of been a friend who showed up to help; you had me laughing so hard once I realized it was you wearing the mask. Love your sense of humor

The defroster gun is for defrosting old refrigerators that had to be defrosted.
